Festival season is well and truly upon us and it’s our favourite kind of fashion – think boho chic with a touch of grunge. It may sound pretty easy to pull off but (more often than not) it’s those simple styles which take the most work. Typical!

We’ve put our heads together and have come up with some quick and easy ideas that are stylish and also won’t break the bank. You’re welcome…

HAIR

It’s no secret that showering at festivals is kind of a luxury, meaning that your hair is probably going to be grease city by the time you arrive home.

One way to make your hair look better for longer is to spray your roots with dry shampoo WHILST it’s still clean. It may sound like you’re wasting product by putting it on nice looking hair, but you’re creating a base for the upcoming grease to cling to before it seeps through.

Curling your hair is another way to make your hair last longer at a festival. All you need to do is add a hair accessory and you’re good to go! Over the days those curls will turn to beach waves (dreamy) and then you have the perfect base for braids. When at a festival…

MAKEUP

There is an expectation when it comes to festivals that the make up needs to be out of this world and original but, honestly, who wants to be spending 3 hours just doing their face?

Quick ways to get an impressive look are facial stickers and glitter! A liquid eyeshadow or liner don’t need to be perfectly precise when you’re in a field all day. The messier it is the more ‘cool girl’ it will look.

OUTFIT

Festival fashion is a free-for-all of colours, prints and textures. Think sequins, fringing, rainbows, ruffles; anything goes!

If you’re going to one in the UK, you’re probably going to want to take a jacket with you – getting caught in the rain is never fun. Wellies are also something to consider investing in.

At the end of the day, as long as you are comfortable and warm, you’ll be able to rock any look!

ACCESSORIES

We all know that accessories can make or break an outfit! They perhaps just need to be slightly more practical than your usual everyday items.

Sunglasses and hats to shield the sun (and those greasy locks) and bags that go over your body are ideal. Fashionable AND useful? Two of our favourite words.
