Next Perfume Dupes: Get Your Favourite Fragrance Cheaper

Does anyone actually enjoy spending £50+ on a scent? Think about the shoes you could buy… These Next perfume dupes might just be your secret weapon!

We all want to smell nice but some of the prices for designer labels like Jo Malone’s ‘English Oak and Redcurrant’, Dolce and Gabanna’s ‘Light Blue’ and Stella McCartney’s ‘Stella’ (to name just a few) are excessive!

High street retailers like Zara, Superdrug, Primark and even Lidl sell dupes of the most iconic scents at a fraction of the price.

Recently, people went crazy about how much Next’s ‘Aura‘ perfume smells just like Yves Saint Laurent ‘Black Opium’.

Next state that ‘Aura’ has:

‘A mesmerising scent with white flowers, creamy vanilla and a fresh hit of cassis, a trail of sensuous musks and white amber complete the scent’s mysterious aura’.

‘Black Opium’ contains:

‘addictive gourmand floral with notes of: Black Coffee – for a shot of adrenaline; White Florals – to instantly seduce; and Vanilla – for sweetness and sensuality’.

There are definitely some over-lapping notes there.

YSL are selling their best-selling eau de parfum at £92.00 for 90ml, whereas ‘Aura’ is £14 for a 100ml bottle.

You could buy six bottles of ‘Aura’ for the same price of one ‘Black Opium’!

However, some people have debated the ‘Black Opium’ angle, instead stating that it smells of Thierry Mugler’s ‘Alien’:

‘It smells like alien, not black opium I have both of these perfumes and it deffo smells like Alien’.

‘Alien’ has notes of:

‘A rich floral woody amber containing jasmine sambac, cashmeran wood and white amber’.

Not necessarily the same…

Again, a 90ml bottle of ‘Alien’ comes in at £95. It’s almost as-if it would be rude to not buy it from Next perfume dupes at those prices!

‘Aura’ isn’t the only perfume dupe that Next have…

Next’s signature scent, ‘Just Pink’, is loved by many. But did you know that it is a dupe for Ralph Lauren ‘Romance’?

‘Just Pink’ has notes of:

‘soft fruity mandarin, green florals and pink blooming jasmine cushioned by patchouli and musks’.

‘Romance’ has:

‘velvety woods, extravagant floral and seductive musk’.

It costs £41.00 for a 100ml bottle of ‘Romance’ and just £14 for Just Pink.

Recently, the brand have launched a sister-scent to ‘Just Pink’, ‘Just Pretty’. It has:

‘a juicy top note of green apple, pear and cassis. It is followed by a delicate floral heart of rose water, water lily and jasmine. It rests on a sensual background of musk, sandalwood and vanilla’.

Only time will tell if this will also be a best-seller.

Some other Next perfume dupes…

Their ‘Define’ scent is supposedly a knock-off of Emporio Armani’s ‘She’.

‘Define’:

‘oriental accords create Define with warming cardamom and exotic jasmine and heliotrope encased by sweet vanilla, rich woods and crystal musk’.

‘She’:

‘A fresh blend of delicate florals, heliotrope, almond accents and a caressing wake of vanilla and cedar wood’.

‘Cashmere’ by Next is a dupe for ‘Sensuous Nude’ by Estée Lauder.

‘Cashmere’:

‘A soft and sensuous fragrance combining beautiful florals and delicate powdery musks’.

‘Sensuous Nude’:

‘the notes of Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin, Jasmine Petals, Muguet and luscious Coconut Water’.

Fragrance fanatics have detected that the Yves Saint Laurent scent, ‘Cinema’ smells very similar to ‘Gold’.

‘Gold’:

‘golden flower nectars, gloriously sweet vanilla and molten amber’.

‘Cinema’:

‘A fresh and luminous opening. A floral and sophisticated character. An amber and sensual structure’.

As can be guessed by the name, Next’s ‘Flowers’ is a dupe for ‘Daisy’ by Marc Jacobs.

‘Flowers’:

‘modern citrus notes and fruits that blend beautifully with heady tuberose and magnolia and rest upon musks and woods’.

‘Daisy’:

‘The top of the fragrance is infused with succulent wild berries and soft white violets, leaving an irresistibly fresh and radiant scent on the skin. At the heart, velvety jasmine wraps with each note, enhancing the vibrancy of the florals. A dreamy drydown of sandalwood imparts an aura of warmth and sensuality, creating a delicate and romantic contrast within the fragrance’.

There’s more…

Gucci’s ‘Rush’ can be duped with ‘Rogue Absolue’.

‘Rogue Absolue’:

‘a fusion of delicious fruits and heady orange flower and jasmine with rich woody and sweet tonka bean and vanilla undertones’.

‘Rush’:

‘top notes of Freesia, California Gardenia and African Freesia Petals, middle notes of Jasmine, Damask Rose and Coriander and base notes of Vetiver, Patchouli and Vanilla’.

Next’s ‘Eau Nude’ is a knock-off for the infamous ‘Coco Mademoiselle’ by Chanel.

‘Eau Nude’:

‘an enticing blend of lush fruity raspberry, blood orange and exotic floral ylang and rose entwined with pink pepper and powdery musk and creamy vanilla’.

‘Coco Mademoiselle’:

‘A clear and sensual heart reveals the transparent accords of Jasmine and Rose. The trail unfurls the pure accents of Patchouli and Vetiver that emphasise the slender structure of the composition’.

Calvin Klein’s ‘Euphoria’ is a similar scent to ‘White Amber’ by Next.

‘White Amber’:

‘top notes of pink pepper and fiery ginger, blended with ylang ylang and blood orange, leading to a warm sensual heart of sandalwood, creamy vanilla and bold frankincense’.

‘Euphoria’:

‘The top opens with a burst of pomegranate and succulent persimmon followed by a mysterious and intoxicating blend of rich orchid and dewy lotus blossom. The drydown leaves a lasting signature of liquid amber and mahogany wood paired with sensual musks and an addictive cream accord’.

Gift sets at a bargain price…

As if Next’s perfumes aren’t cheap enough, they also sell gift sets of their best-selling scents.

‘Just Pink’ comes in multiple gift sets, some comes with a body lotion, larger and travel sizes as well as a hand cream or lip balm!

If you want to get someone some perfume for an occasion but don’t know which to get, Next have come up with a genius idea: perfume wardrobes.

They take six of their best-selling perfumes and create a ‘set’. Each scent is 10ml and is a great introduction to their fragrances.

Usually the 10ml come in at £4 each, but this wardrobe is just £20 for six – which is a saving of £4.

If eau de parfums aren’t for you, Next do have a set of six eau de toilettes.

It is based around their ‘Pure Happiness’ scent and costs £12 for six 5ml fragrances. You will also get pear, cherry, raspberry, passionfruit and lemon.

Plus a pretty reusable tin!

As can be imagined, Next fragrance comes into its own at Christmas.

This fragrance roulette is just one of their concepts for festive gifting.

Other Next scents which aren’t dupes…

Next’s perfumes don’t just stop there! Other gorgeous fragrances from them include ‘Enchantment’, ‘Sparkle’, ‘Glitterball’, ‘No. 1 Star’, ‘Paradise’, ‘Summer Sun’ and ‘Coral Blush’.

Despite not having notable gift sets, these scents do come in different products.

For example, ‘Enchantment’ has a bath oil, the ‘Summer Sun’ scent stars in a body scrub and you can get ‘Paradise’ in a body mist and shimmering body oil.

They also sell mens fragrance dupes…

If you thought Next perfume dupes were just for women, you were wrong!

They have many best-selling fragrances that are dupes for designer labels.

For example, their ‘No.85’ is a dupe for Paco Rabanne’s ‘One Million’. A 100ml bottle of ‘No. 85’ costs £14 compared to £68 for 100ml of ‘One Million’.

Jean Paul Gautier’s ‘Le Male’ smells very similar to ‘L’Homme’ by Next. However, they do not have similar price points; ‘L’Homme’ comes in at £8 for 30ml, whereas 40ml of ‘Le Male’ is £38.50.

‘Code Red’ by Next is like another Paco Rabanne scent, this time it’s ‘Invictus’. ‘Code Red’ is £14 for 100ml and ‘Invictus’ is £66.50 for the same amount.

Finally, Dior’s famous fragrance ‘Sauvage’ is supposedly a dupe for Next’s ‘Urban Elements: Stone’.

You can get ‘Stone’ is a set of three ‘Urban Elements’. Along with Marble and Fuelled, the 3-pack costs £18 for 3x30ml. ‘Sauvage’ is £50+ by itself!

Just like for women, Next have curated a fragrance wardrobe for men!

And don’t forget the kids…

There you are spritzing away and the kids are feeling all left out. No one wants that.

Thankfully, Next are here to save the day.

They have created lighter scents for both boys and girls.

For boys they have ‘Volume’ or ‘Dinorawr!’. ‘Volume’ costs £3 for 10ml and ‘Dinorawr!’ is £5 for 50ml.

‘Volume’ comes in a fragrance wardrobe with ‘Volume 2’ and ‘Volume 3’. 3x25ml comes to £10.

Here come the girls…

Perhaps unfairly, there are more scent options for girls than boys.

Ranging from £3-£10, their lighter fragrances are like miniature versions of Next perfume dupes.

For example, they have ‘Miss Pink’ Light Perfume. It has:

‘Fun, sparkling fruity top notes’.

They also have ‘Miss Sparkle Light’ Eau De Toilette. It costs £10 for 50ml, and has:

‘Fruity, vibrant and sweet, this fragrance leads with notes of pear and red fruits to a heart of peony and jasmine’.

Their ‘Miss Butterfly’ light perfume looks very similar to their ‘Paradise’ fragrance in both bottle design and packaging.

The similarities are crazy!

For younger girls, they stock the fragrances ‘Believe In Mermaids’ and ‘Magical’.

Next have also created some fruit flavoured fragrances for those parents who don’t want to give their children actual perfume.

They come in cute packaging and cost £10 for 5x8ml. The scents are: Amelia the Apple, Winnie the Watermelon, Penny the Pineapple, Sophie the Strawberry and Polly the Peach.

It shouldn’t be surprising that there are gift sets and fragrance wardrobes too.

The ‘Miss Butterfly’ gift set contains a 50ml perfume and 50ml of bubble bath for £8.

It costs £10 for the ‘Miss Sparkle’ gift set. You can expect 50ml of the fragrance, a 50ml shower wash as well as a glitter body roll on.

The fragrance wardrobe contains 5x8ml of the scents ‘Miss Pink’; ‘Miss Butterfly’; ‘Magical’; ‘Miss Tropical’; and ‘Miss Sparkle’. It costs £10.

If you are after something a bit more personal, they have created an ‘Alphabet Perfume’. For £6.50 you can get a 30ml fragrance which has:

‘top notes of mandarin, pear and orange blossom’

as well as a monogrammed tin.

You might want to think twice before spending all your hard-earned money on designer labels when there are Next perfume dupes…
