Black Friday 2020 – The Deals You Need To Know About
The biggest shopping event of the year is soon approaching and Black Friday 2020 is going to look a little different to past years.
Rather than going into the store, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year we’ll find great deals online and not just for retailers like Amazon.

Black Friday sales from our high streets
& Other Stories are known for dropping their full-priced items by almost 20%! On Black Friday eve they usually reveal a promotional code – anyone else going to be stuck to their phone that day?
Topshop’s Black Friday sale is ALWAYS worth a browse! Previously they have had 25% off every single thing on their site, including party wear.
We’re also hoping for reduced prices on items at Mango, ASOS and H&M to name just a few of our high street favourites.
Home appliances Black Friday deals 2020
For the majority of 2020 we’ve been at home and it’s showed us why people invest in things like coffee machines.
If you’ve been waiting for Black Friday to get your deals – you’ve made the right choice!
For example, Currys PC World Black Friday sale has already started! Aptly named their ‘black tag’ event, they have a range of home appliances including TVs, laptops and even vacuum cleaners!
Argos also partake in Black Friday and have confirmed that they will be doing so again this year.
Their website states:
‘Looking forward to our 2020 Black Friday deals? So are we! After all, it’s the biggest shopping event of the year.
‘In the meantime, there’s plenty of preparation to be done. Scout out some products beforehand – why not add them to your wishlist? That way, you’ll be first in line when the big day arrives’.
And of course, Amazon have slashed their prices across hundreds of products.
Use the big day for Christmas shopping!
This year, Black Friday is actually going to be multiple Fridays for Pandora.
Every Friday in November the jewellery brand will have prices slashed by up to 35% – perfect for Christmas gifts!
For those who are difficult to buy for, why not get them the Nintendo Switch? John Lewis offer the games console with games in deal packs. Not only is the game perfect for when at home, but it is also petite enough to be travelled with.
Where did Black Friday start?
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in America.
The phrase first gained traction in the 1950s as people would call in sick so they could spend more time with their family rather than going back to work after Thanksgiving.
The shopping event has become popular outside of the states in the past few years and boy are we glad!
