1. Pasta Spoons Are One Serving

Image source/ insiderYour pasta spoon has the hole in the middle and while it's technically there to drain the water from the pasta, you can actually use this hole to measure one serving of spaghetti. You know. Just in case you just want one serving of pasta. I bet not many people knew that.  

2. The Draw At The Bottom Of Your Oven

This drawer beneath your oven is actually a warming drawer for keeping hot food at serving temperature. The next time you need to keep your dinner warm or don't want your to-go pizza to get cold while you're watching a movie, simply turn on the oven and place your treat in the heated drawer.
 

3. More Detergent Less Chance Of Removing Stains

According to Carolyn Forte, director of the Good Housekeeping Institute's Hygiene Laboratory, using more than the recommended amount of detergent can actually hold stains back by creating a large amount of foam that acts as a cushion for the stain. stain and prevent it from being washed away. Some good advice would be use less detergent. 
 

4. Turn You Peanut Butter Upside Down When Storing

Does the peanut butter you grind yourself at the health food store still separate into thick, oily chunks after a minute in your cupboard? Turns out you're just storing it wrong. Simply turn the jar of peanut butter upside down and the oil will spread more evenly leaving less chunks. 
 

5. Potato Peelers Have More Than One Use

Use your peeler to scrape long, thin strips of Parmesan cheese from the block, create paper-thin carrots for a salad, or even cut an onion in a rapid time. If you have not had the thought to use your potato peeler for something else then you are really missing out on quick and easy methods. 
 

6. Using Bobby Pins Upside Down

You most likely go to put a bobby pin in your hair, smooth side down. However, the pins are designed to grab your hair by placing them with the grooved side down against your scalp. If the bobby pins keep sliding off, try turning them the other way around for a better grip.
 

7. Tic Tac Boxes

Everyone knows the frustration of trying to shake out one tic-tac from the box. Well here is your solution, instead of swishing around the box like a maraca to get out just one tic-tac, simply rotate the box on its side and drop a mint into the cleverly designed slot on the plastic lid.

I am sure that many people have been unloading dishwasher wrong their whole life, well here is the right way to do it. The dirtiest items should be in the middle of the lower rack opposite the spray arm. This includes heavily soiled plates, pots and pans. Blocking the detergent drawer with a large item can prevent the soap from dispensing properly.

If you want the correct way to load a blender for the best possible smoothie then here you go. Start with liquids like juice, milk, or oil. Add the solid ingredients last. The motion created by the swirling liquids will attract solid objects and prevent the blades from digging through the solid.

If you don't clean your sponge regularly, you could be wiping away bacteria from your dishes and counter. The bacteria that gets left on the sponge if it is not cleaned regularly will transfer to the dishes you are attempting to clean, leaving the dishes just as dirty as they was before being washed.

I am sure that everyone has had the struggles of using plastic wrap at some point in their life. Here is a way to make things much easier. Punch holes in the two cardboard tabs at the ends of the box to hold the box in place. The area near the tabs in question often says "secure roll".

People may not have known this but there are two types of plungers; one with a bowl shaped rubber head often meant to be used in sinks and tubs and the other kind which has a narrower end to make it easier to plunge the toilet. Slow cookers work by trapping the heat and cooks the food over a long period of time but when people lift the lid to check every few minutes, this doesn't help the process go any faster.

People often shampoo their hair wrong, so here is the correct and most efficient way of washing your hair. When washing your hair, start at the top of your head and focus on cleaning your scalp. This is where the oils that make your hair look greasy are produced and tend to stay.

Just like shampoo, people often use conditioner wrong as well as they tend to start at the top of their hair. You should start at the bottom because that part needs the most added moisture and protection. Starting at the bottom will still leave enough for your scalp making it not too oily.

The advice that some people get that you need to pump the tip of the mascara brush in and out of the bottle so that the product is evenly distributed and avoids clumping. It's not really a good idea. 22. Metal And Non Stick Pans Are A No Go

Never use metal utensils with your non-stick cooking pans. While it may not be obvious, the metal will decompose and lose the non-stick coating on pots and pans. That means your cookware won't last long, and even scarier, that non-stick coating will get into your food and I don't think anyone wants that. 
 

23. Straws In Soda Cans

If you want to use a straw for your can of soda then here is the way to do it to make you look like a genius. Slide the straw through the top hole of the soda can tab. The rim will keep your straw from drifting out of the box when your not using it and you'll look like a genius.

One of the worst things you can do to your phone's battery is leave it on charge overnight. Experts say that charging your phone for such a long time can drain the battery faster and you should ideally keep your battery between 30-50% instead of putting on charge all night. 
 

25. Sunscreen

Most people only apply about 25-50% of the amount of sunscreen they should be using. And not only may you be using too little sunscreen, but you may not be applying enough. Doctors recommend reapplying sunscreen every two hours or after swimming or sweating.

There's nothing better than a cold beer on a hot day, but if you're holding this bottle by its body, don't expect it to stay cold for that long. The body heat generated by your palms will heat up beer faster than you can drink. Instead, grab the neck of the bottle, which makes the drink less affected by your body temperature and keeps it cool. 
 

27. Using A Knife To Cut Off The Top Of A Strawberry

If you use a knife to cut off the green stem of a strawberry, you are only wasting the fruit that you can eat. Instead, remove the stem by inserting a straw through the bottom, as this will maximize the amount of strawberry you get to eat instead of cutting half of it off with a knife. 
 

28. Scooping Toppings Out Of Your Yoghurt

Are you scooping your spoon into your tiny yoghurt package to get the tiny toppings out. If so, you are completely wrong. Most containers are supposed to be split in half so you can pour the toppings directly on top of the yogurt. In fact you do not even need a spoon at all.

If you are applying makeup products and they are not working as well as it should or as it used to then you are applying makeup that has expired. Most makeup products and bottles have an expiration date on the back of them, so make sure you check before you use them.
 

30. Brushing Your Teeth Right After Eating

Brushing your teeth right after you finish eating is eating away at your teeth. As shown by studies,  by brushing immediately after eating you run the risk of brushing tiny particles off the enamel, as the eating process naturally weakens your enamel.
