Walmart stores are absolutely everywhere thanks to the retailer’s headquarters in Bentonville, which contribute to the company’s revenues of a whopping $514.4 billion. Walmart currently has over 2.2 million employees, and this number is still growing.

2. Humana - Kentucky

Humana is a health insurer, and has revenues of over $56.9 billion, with over 41,600 staff members. Its headquarters are based in Louisville, and it’s the highest-ranked company in the state. Apparently, it’s the third largest insurance provider in the country, and gets included in Fortune 500 lists on a pretty regular basis.

Ever heard of CenturyLink? They’re a pretty massive telecom company, and their corporate headquarters can be found in the city of Monroe. If you’re wondering how big CenturyLink actually are – they have revenues of $23.4 billion, and currently have 45,000 employees. Telecom sales are clearly still booming!

How gorgeous are these company headquarters? World Fuel Services in Florida definitely know how to keep their 5,000 staff members happy! Based in the super-cool city of Miami, the fuel distributor connects with suppliers across the globe, and has estimated revenues of around $39.8 billion. That’s a LOT of fuel.

We knew Home Depot were pretty big, but in Georgia, the retailer can be found everywhere you look. Home Depot is headquartered in Atlanta, but it’s been under fire in recent times after the company refused to speak out against a new law restricting voting access in the state. Georgia’s religious leaders condemned Home Depot, but it hasn’t stopped the retailer from netting a revenue of $108.2 billion.

It might not be the most aesthetically pleasing image in the world, but there’s BIG money at Hawaiian Electric Industries. Headquartered in Honolulu, the capital and most heavily populated city in the city, Hawaiian Electric Industries is a major player in power utilities, and rakes in a cool $2.9 billion in revenues.

This one won’t be much of a surprise to you. Apple are pretty well known for being the biggest company in California, and are based in Cupertino. In 2017, they decided to build “Apple Park” a huge infinite loop that houses their 132,000 team members. And it’s not like they can’t afford it – their revenues are well above $265 billion.

The pharmacy giant can be found everywhere in the US, but they have a particular stronghold in Illinois, where their headquarters are. Based in Deerfield, the north shore suburb of Chicago, Walgreens is one of the biggest retailers in the country, and has estimated revenues of a whopping $131.5 billion. That’s a lot of green.

9. Anthem - Indiana

You might not be as familiar with Anthem as other key players on this list, but the health insurer is doing VERY well for itself right now. The company are based in Indianapolis, and are bringing in over 92.1 billion dollars. With a huge team of over 63,900 employees, Anthem are going from strength to strength, and their stock market value is continuing to soar post-pandemic.

10. Centene - Missouri

Another health insurer. Centene might not be doing quite as well as rival Anthem, but they’re still making comfortable profits of $60.1 billion – and this number is set to rise in the next few years. You can find their fancy glass skyscraper in the city of St. Louis, which houses some of their 47,300 employees.

Have you ever stayed at Las Vegas Sands? It’s a trip you’ll never forget! The casino giant is the biggest company in Nevada, and brings in around $13.7 billion in revenue. The Sands corporation recently sold its two Las Vegas properties (The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and the Sands Expo) to VICI properties for an estimated $6.25 billion.

Sprague Resources are a massive energy company, that delivers everything from natural gas and electricity to gasoline and diesel to their customers. They have sites right across America, but their home is in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where 901 employees are headquartered. Sprague Resources have estimated revenues of $3.8 billion.

13. Johnson & Johnson - New Jersey

Most of us are probably familiar with Johnson & Johnson. Producing everything from baby lotion to mouthwash, their health products are found in every single state! This huge conglomerate is headquartered in the city of New Brunswick, which houses a fair few of its 135,100 staff members. Johnson & Johnson has a current net worth of a whopping $431.18 billion.

14. JPMorgan Chase - New York

JPMorgan Chase is headquartered in New York City. The bank had revenues of $131.4 billion and 256,105 employees, and is continuing to go from strength to strength in the stock market. The company is currently constructing a brand-new, cutting-edge skyscraper in NYC, which is between Park and Madison Avenues and 47th and 48th Streets.

As company headquarters go, this is one of the coolest sites we’ve seen! Nike are the biggest company in the state of Oregon, and are based in the city of Beaverton in Washington County. The complex spreads across 286 acres and more than 75 buildings, and features everything from deli-meets-sports bars to sneaker lobbies. Nike’s revenues are now estimated to be $36.4 billion.

Dunder Mifflin, eat your heart out. This huge paper company is the biggest biz in South Carolina, and is headquartered in the humble town of Fort Mill, also known as Fort Mill Township. Domtar have a big monopoly on the paper market, and employs over 10,000 staff members. Domtar’s revenues are now estimated at $5.5 billion.

17. SkyWest - Utah

Ever flown with SkyWest? The airline has hubs everywhere from Chicago and Houston to LA and San Francisco. The company are based in the city of St. George, and have 15,900 employees. While the company took a bit of a hit at the height of the pandemic, SkyWest are still thought to have revenues of around $3.2 billion.

Freddie Mac is a finance company, and is also known as The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC). It’s essentially a government-sponsored enterprise that supports home ownership for tons of Americas, and it’s been running since the 1970s. Freddie Mac’s headquarters are found in McLean, and they employ 6,621 staff members.

Lockheed Martin might not be on everyone’s radar, but they happen to be Maryland’s biggest employer. The company is a defense contractor, and have headquarters in Bethesda in southern Montgomery County. While Lockheed Martin have been doing a lot of restructuring lately, they still have estimated revenues of $53.8 billion.

The company recently hit the headlines after it decided to permanently close its branches in Russia after the war with Ukraine broke out, which has earned them plenty of praise. IDEXX are going from strength to strength in growth right now, and have revenues of $2.2 billion. Not too shabby!

Questions have been raised about the quality of the parts being created at Spirt AeroSystems, but it hasn’t stopped the company from raking in a cool $7.2 billion in revenues.

A lot of us will have made a trip to Albertsons at some point over the years. The grocery and grocery delivery service is the biggest company in Idaho, and is based in the super-cool city of Boise. The company have over 275,000 employees, who play a crucial part in adding to Albertsons $59.9 billion in revenues.

They have over 98,000 employees across the US, and currently have $86.0 billion in revenues.
