Danny Tanner is the sitcom's main protagonist, and his life is pretty much the main focal point. Danny is left alone to raise his three daughters, following the death of his wife. However, he receives help from his brother-in-law (Jesse) and his best friend (Joey).

Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) Now

Following the airing of 'Full House', Bob Saget went on to star in the sitcom's sequel: 'Fuller House'. He was also known for his stand-up comedy, and hosting of several popular television shows, such as: America's Funniest Home Videos. Unfortunately, Bob passed away during early January of last year (2022).

John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis) Then

Jesse Katsopolis is Danny Turner's brother-in-law, and helps him with the raising of Danny's three daughters. He was originally named Hermes, but after experiencing severe bullying, he begged his Mom to change it. He is half-Greek, and half-Italian (Greek on his Father's side, and Italian on his Mother's side).

John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis) Now

Since starring in 'Full House', John Stamos also appeared in the sequel: 'Fuller House'. He has also starred in a variety of movies, and television shows. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor (in a drama series), for his appearance in the ABC soap 'General Hospital'.

Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) Then

Stephanie Tanner is Danny's middle child, and is known for her nosy habits and high-energy personality. She is arguably the most defiant out of all three girls, and tends to be a bit of a blabber-mouth (especially when it comes to her sisters' business/general need for privacy).

Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) Now

As well as her co-stars, Jodie Sweetin also starred in the 'Full House' sequel: 'Fuller House'. She has gone on to star in variety of movies, and other television shows. She has also competed on season 22 of Dancing With The Stars, where she finished in sixth place.

Candace Cameron Bure (D.J Tanner) Then

Donna Jo (D.J) Tanner is Danny's eldest daughter, and is often called 'Deej' by her close friends and family. She is known for her level-headedness, and ability to deal with difficult situations easily and effectively. She is a great older sister and role-model for her two younger sisters.

Candace Cameron Bure (D.J Tanner) Now

Candace Cameron Bure also reprised her role on 'Fuller House', alongside her co-stars. She has also starred in a number of Hallmark Channel original productions, television sitcoms and movies. She has three children with long-time partner, Ice Hockey player, Valeri Bure.

Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) Then

Joey Gladstone is Danny's childhood friend. He moves in with Danny, following the death of Danny's wife, in order to help him raise his three daughters. Joey is an amateur stand-up comedian, and his comedy act consists mainly of cartoon character impressions. He stays in Danny's remodelled basement garage.

Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) Now

Dave Coulier was another star, to reprise his role, in the sitcom's sequel. Alongside his acting, he is known for his stand-up comedy, voice acting and, just like his character Joey, his impressions. He has also starred in several other movies, and television shows, but his stand-up comedy is what he is best known for.

Mary-Kate/Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner) Then

Michelle Tanner is Danny's youngest daughter, and the show follows her growing up. As she gets older, her wild streak begins to shine through, as well as her intellect. She has a wide variety of friends on the show, and she always tries to follow in her sisters' footsteps.

Mary-Kate/Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner) Now

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen shared the role of Michelle on the show, however they didn't return to reprise their role on the sequel. The twins have been busy with their separate, and joint, ventures since the show. They co-founded the luxury fashion brand, 'The Row', and are well-known within the world of fashion.

Scott Weinger (Steve Hale) Then

Steve Hale is a recurring character, from season five on the show. He is D.J's high-school boyfriend, and is a wrestler (he is often the cause of the Tanners' empty refrigerator). He is known for his strong, yet caring nature, and extroverted and altruistic personality.

Scott Weinger (Steve Hale) Now

Scott Weinger is best known for his role as Steve Hale, but also as the voice of Aladdin, in the 1992 animated movie (of the same name). He also appeared in the sitcom's sequel. He seems to have taken a step back from the world of acting, to focus on his family.

Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit (Nicky Katsopolis) Then

Nicky Katsopolis is Jesse's son on the show, but he doesn't appear until season five. He is known for his inquisitive yet shy nature. He does not have much noticeable character development within the show, as he was introduced much later (in comparison to the other characters).

Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit (Nicky Katsopolis) Now

Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit reprised his role as Nicky in 'Fuller House', but that seems to have been the extent of his acting career. It has been reported that Blake has stepped away from acting entirely, and is now living an ordinary life (working as a firefighter). He also plays several instruments.

Marla Sokoloff (Gia Mahan) Then

Gia Mahan is Stephanie's best friend. She doesn't appear until season seven of the show. She is known for her edgy and rebellious nature, which often influences Stephanie to do reckless and irresponsible things. However, her friendship with Stephanie influences her to become a more responsible, and respectable teenager.

Marla Sokoloff (Gia Mahan) Now

Marla Sokoloff was yet another cast member to reprise her role for the sequel. Aside from starring in 'Full House' and 'Fuller House', she is also known for her roles in the movies: 'True Crime', 'Dude, Where's My Car?', 'Sugar & Spice' and 'Love On The Side'.

Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit (Alex Katsopolis) Then

Alex Katsopolis is Jesse's son on the show, and Nicky's identical twin brother. As well as Nicky, he doesn't appear until season five of the show. He is known for his sweet, humorous and mischievous nature. Alongside his brother Nicky, the pair get into all kinds of trouble.

Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit (Alex Katsopolis) Now

Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit added to the list of stars, that reprised their roles for 'Fuller House'. Much like his twin brother, Dylan has taken a step back from acting, and has turned his attention to sound design, music and the art of foley. It seems that the Wilhoit twins prefer a quieter life.

Derek S. Boyd is one of Michelle's friends on the show. He doesn't appear until season six of the show, and only features in nine episodes. He is known for being well-spoken, and highly educated for a boy of his age. He is also portrayed as a very talented singer.

Since his appearance on the show, Blake McIver Ewing also reprised his role (briefly) in the sequel. He has since appeared in several successful movies such as: 'The Little Rascals' and 'Hey Arnold!: The Movie'. Blake is now a director, vocal coach and podcaster.

Jason Marsden (Nelson Burkhard) Then

Nelson Burkhard is one of D.J Tanner's boyfriends in the show. He and D.J have a strained friendship after their break-up, however they get back together after D.J breaks up with her other boyfriend. Despite this, there is a lot of jealousy between Nelson and D.J's ex, so they just decide it is better for them to remain good friends.

Jason Marsden (Nelson Burkhard) Now

Jason Marsden was another star to reprise his role in the sitcom's sequel, and since his time on 'Full House', has starred in many successful movies and television shows. A lot of his acting is within the world of voice acting, although he has dabbled in film-making and videography (YouTube).

Jurnee Smollett (Denise Frazer) Then

Denise Frazer is one of Michelle's good friends in the show. She is transferred into Michelle's class at school, and it doesn't take long for the girls to become 'partners in crime'. Later into the show, Denise reveals that Little Richard is her uncle, and he picks her up from the Tanner's house.

Jurnee Smollett, alongside the Olsen twins, did not reappear in the sitcom's sequel. Since her appearance on 'Full House', Jurnee has had a very strong acting career. She has starred in movies such as: 'Eve's Bayou' (which earned her a Critic's Choice Movie Award), and 'Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey'.

Tahj Mowry (Teddy) Then

Teddy is another friend of Michelle's, and made his first appearance in the season five premiere of 'Full House'. They quickly become best friends, and accompany each other in all kinds of mischief. Teddy later moves to Texas, due to his father's work, but returns later on in the show.

Tahj Mowry added to the list of stars that did not re-appear on 'Fuller House', but he has had a flourishing acting career since appearing on 'Full House'. Aside from his role as Teddy, he is best known for his role as T.J in the sitcom 'Smart Guy'. He has also made appearances on a handful of movies.

Gail Edwards (Vicky Larson) Then

Vicky Larson is Danny's girlfriend, and briefly becomes his fiancé, during season six and seven of the show. She is a very career-driven woman, and this causes some of the undoing, of her's and Danny's relationship. She is also known for her kind, caring and helpful nature, as well as her ability to give great advice.

Gail Edwards (Vicky Larson) Now

Gail Edwards also did not re-appear in 'Fuller House', but since her role in 'Full House', she has starred in a handful of movies and television sitcoms. She is now retired, and has stepped away completely from the public eye. She is currently leading a comfortably quiet life, alongside her husband.
