12 Reasons Why Humans Are The Worst On The Planet

1. They are destroying the planet

Humans are without a doubt the worst on the planet, for the very reason that they are destroying the planet. The reason for our whole existence is the planet we live on which lets us breath and live. But, the majority of humans seem completely unbothered by the fact that they are destroying the very reason for human existence.

2. They inflict suffering on animals

It's a no brainer - humans are the worst, and the majority of other animals are what makes our planet habitable. Yet, humans think they have the right to inflict suffering on animals; trap thousands in cages to provide them food, trap them in a zoo for their entertainment, torture them, and even slaughter them.

3. They are driven by greed

The majority of humans on the planet, and the majority of the modern world is based on sheer greed. 99% of global wealth is owned by 1% of the population. Money is based on greed, and making as much of it as possible - even if that is at the expense of everyone else (which it is).

4. They live in a hugely unequal world

The thing is, the world is massively unequal. While some are living the life of luxury, others are starving and do not have access to clean water. But, instead of doing anything about it, the majority of humans who could help the situation of the globe continue to turn over their own profits instead.

5. Humans lie

Can you imagine another species lying to one another? Nope. Regardless if they can or can't, lying is something that only humans do... all of the time!  While small, white lies may not be a terrible thing, there are huge lies that can affect the whole world, such as when those in power (or the government) lie.

6. Humans discriminate

Animals do not have prejudices or bias and they do not discriminate. Things such as racism, sexism, disablism, prejudices on sexuality are all social, human constructions. Only humans discriminate, which is a big enough reason on its own to show why humans are THE worst on the planet.

7. They commit crimes

Humans commit crime, and crime happens all over the globe day after day. Murder, extortion, human trafficking and much more are shockingly happening right now, all around us. Human's are the only species that have huge criminal organisations which work off the exploitation of other humans.

The planet is getting warmer and warmer which has devastating effects on animals, nature, and the earth as a whole. Yet a large majority of humans are turning a blind eye rather than making a sufficient change. Those with the power to do so, are doing the bare minimum that they can to limit the global warming that is shaping our planet.

9. Millions of animals are extinct

Humans are without a doubt the worst predator on the planet. In fact we have been called by experts the 'super predator' because only humans can destroy whole webs of food chains. And, we kill 14 times more animals than any other animals. Clear proof that humans are the worst on the planet.

10. They create wars

Two world wars, and continuing wars around the world to this very day. Humans never learn, and nor do they stop creating wars which cause monumental impact and suffering on other humans, other creatures and the world as a whole. Other species would never do this...

11. We are causing huge deforestation

Deforestation is a huge global problem and it is leading to the extinction of large amounts of species. It is destroying their homes, leaving them with no habitat and therefore, wiping them out. We also need the forests to absorb carbon dioxide, and to give us oxygen. For example, the Amazon Rainforest is called the 'lungs of the Earth' for a reason, yet we are destroying it!

12. They seek power and control

Animals have hierarchy's, but it's within their family/pack etc. They do not try and gain power over their entire species, or the world as a whole. Only humans think they have the right to do this. They seek power and control and enjoy influencing other people's thoughts and actions.

13. Humans can be narcissistic

Narcissism is a characteristic which seems to be solely attributed to human beings. The idea that everything is about us, and the world revolves around us, seems very relevant to the human world. In other species, it is much more about protecting the group, rather than the individual.

14. Humans treat other humans terribly

Okay, so it is common knowledge that some species fight amongst themselves. But there's usually a reason such as survival instinct that has overtaken. Whereas humans treat other humans horrendously - for no reason at all. Only humans seem to inflict torture and suffering upon other humans on a mass scale.

There are a few animals (and that's VERY few animals) which are violent for the sake of violence, for example, the chimpanzee has shown violent tendencies. However, humans are by far the most violent of all - violent without purpose, simply to inflict pain and suffering on others.

16. Destroying the habitat of other species

As humans, we are steadily destroying the habitats of other species and animals. There's a forest, never mind, let's cut it down along with the wildlife living in it so that we can build another high rise block to sell for more money. Only humans would do this, which is why we're unquestionably the worst on the planet.

17. We have depleted freshwater resources

The natural sources of water in the world are heavily depleting, meaning that we are causing drought in some places through our overuse of resources. As humans, we take a lot more than we give back to the planet. And resources are not infinite, as we are discovering, we cannot keep taking forever.

18. Many people's success is based on the exploitation of others

The hugely successful, global empires around the world, who have the most profit and money, are often based on the exploitation of other humans. For example, companies such as Nike as well as MANY others use unethical factories with terrible working conditions and pay, while those at the top of the company can afford anything they like.

19. Humans are the worst for overconsumption

Overconsumption is something that is a problem ONLY in the human world. No other animal (at least to the extent of humans) over consumes and takes more than it needs. We buy new things constantly, and throw away the old because we're bored of it. We live in an extremely wasteful and throwaway society.

20. Humans are widely ignorant

Humans ae widely ignorant. For example, many people deny things that they do not want to believe, because they cannot be bothered to change their actions accordingly. Such as, some people deny climate change because they do not want to make an effort to change their current way of living. Human ignorance covers many different aspects.

21. Thinking that they're superior

One of the worst and most irritating traits of humans is that the majority seem to assume they are superior to any other species. How and why they do is questionable, considering everything we've covered on this list so far. But it seems to make them think they have a right to do whatever they like.

When one human wrongs another human, sometimes they seek revenge. Revenge has nothing constructive about it, it's simply for the satisfaction of the other person to know they've equally wronged someone back. It's just another one of many terrible things humans do...

Now this isn't all humans - far from it. But many humans, even when presented with the evidence of what they/we are doing wrong, they don't admit or own up to it. Instead, they continue, because for many people, what they want seems to be more important!

Now we can't deny this. Can you ever imagine getting annoyed with your beloved pet? Okay, when they wee on your carpet, but generally speaking - no! But humans, they seem to have a never ending capacity to annoy...and multiple annoying people at once - no thanks!

25. Humans abuse one another

Humans have very unique relationships. In most other species, relationships have set roles and boundaries. With humans, this differs massively. But some humans are abusive towards one another. For example, sadly there are many cases of emotional and physical abuse in human relationships.

26. Some humans promote extremely damaging ways of thinking

Only humans, not any other species, promote extreme and damaging thinking. This thinking could be targeted towards a group of people, or it could be promoting a damaging way of life etc. But, only humans are capable of creating hateful groups or dangerous groups that threaten the way of life.

27. Humans are cruel

Humans are without a doubt the cruellest on the planet. Humans do all kinds of unimaginably cruel things, from the very extremes, to even the littlest acts which are also cruel. One example of this, would people be taking advantage of vulnerable people for their own gain or pleasure. This would not happen amongst another species.

The amount of times you see people throw litter outside of their car or dump it from their pockets is just a minor example of how much we disrespect our natural world. The way we dump millions of trash into our lands or dump it right into the sea - knowing full well that we are putting the entire eco system at stake.

29. Human's selfishness

The world is full of extremes. As we said, there are extremes of wealth and extremes of poverty. But, a human flaw which is in the majority of all humans is selfishness. It is a characteristic which is amongst most of us. We consider ourselves and our own situations above anybody, not considering those in worse situations.

Bullying occurs in humans from such a young age. From kindergarten it starts...and then it doesn't get any better in the adult world. Workplace bulling is common place, and can be even more extreme. Many humans have bullying tendencies in their character, something which rarely happens in the animal world.
