1. Illegal videos of children

The worst thing to happen on Roblox happened a few years ago when videos of illegal and explicit videos of children were posted on the site. It took Roblox a whole 30 minutes to take it down after a user posted it, meaning during this time millions of users who were online at the time could have seen it.

2. Vault 8166 - Warning we are watching you

Roblox is full of dark secrets and mysteries whilst on the surface being a cute and fun kids' game. Vault 8166 was a game created by hackers, so the hackers who created the game could steal the avatar and the player's identity. During the 'game,' you see footage of two users walking into a room with the words 'warning, we are watching you.  There are multiple computers flashing red. When the person in the game attacks - the screen goes black.

3. SMILE...the dark screen with bloody eyes

This game was a dark secret that has now been banned forever. But what would happen is people would receive a message from 'smile' saying they need you in the game. When you go the the game all you could see was a black screen. Then, when you turned you could see a faint head with blood red eyes. When you approach it your screen goes black. Next thing, it looks like you're inside the game but when you log on again your account has been deleted.

4. Melvin, a child who tragically died

Melvin was a very popular child on Roblox, but he very sadly passed away due to cancer. His figure became a ghost on Roblox as a tribute to the child. In the game it transports you not to the game it says, but a black screen. You cannot exit this game until the game crashed. Then, you find translucent hair inside your inventory called Melvin. So the rumour now is that the Roblox ghost of Melvin steals the 'life'/account of one child a year...after this they would be deleted.

5. The April Fools Hacking

On April 1st there was an attack on Roblox where the whole site was hacked by a user who had been banned from the site and wanted to get back on. But he overtook everything leaving very inappropriate and unsuitable messaged on the site for children to see.

6. A very creepy hallway with a hidden attacker

When you enter a game in Roblox  you've no idea what will happen. In this particular game you enter a very creepy, dark hallway with splatters of red covering the walls. When you wander around an attacker comes and you have to get out of their real quick.

7. The creepiest clown face

A bug hit Roblox and nobody knew what it was or how to get rid of it. People worked out that if you typed '?Iloveyou' into the chat bar, the creepiest clown rubbing his face over and over appeared on your screen. There was no way to get it off again until you reset your screen. Roblox removed it without comment.

8. Secret rooms full of satanic symbols

It became a popular trend in the most used games on Roblox to add a secret room in the game. When you entered it you could find satanic symbols and rituals all over the floors and walls as well as terrifying messages on the screen. It scared a lot of users and it was highly inappropriate for younger users to see.

9. The prediction of the Ebola outbreak

So in 2009, the Hazmat Isolation Helmet was created. The words said; 'sir, we're going to have a situation here. Someone's put Ebola in the water supply.'

It was then removed in 2014 after Ebola had occurred.  But there were huge conspiracies about how this had happened on Roblox BEFORE the outbreak had even happened yet.

10. There are disturbing messages in the game

There is an account called ZoruTao, which takes you to a game called Zoru's disease. When you enter, the screen repeatedly says 'the body eats away....run, run. It infects us. No one can hide. It will be here soon. Now imagine being a child reading these creepy messages.

11. The producers of Roblox forgot to turn off their live broadcast...and were fired!

The producers of Roblox held a live chat for Roblox enthusiasts. But after the meeting had finished, they forgot to turn off their microphones. They had a party and were heard insulting the chief executor and even saying things such as 'they won't know anything about this'. They could also be heard slating the Roblox website calling it horrible. One of the producers was fired afterwards.

12. Unreleased disturbing faces

One of the faces that has been unreleased on Roblox is totally scary and disturbing for children. It is a figure with a bloody face and the gory content is very different for the majority of the face which suit all ages. Nobody knows why Roblox made this decision to create such a face.

13. There were secret and hidden forums to write on

When forums still existed on Roblox, there was a secret and hidden thread which was called the forum 34. But, posting on the forum got you banned by default. Nobody realised until they had posted on the forum, and then realised their account had been banned. Nobody knows why it was created and Roblox never released a reason.

14. One of the developers was stealing other people's ideas

One of the developers of Roblox was stealing and taking credit for other producer's games. He first stole the murder mystery game, followed by the mad paintball which were made by two other developers. They spoke up about this and he even admitted to it in the forums.

15. There are creepy, secret hats in the store

There are a collection of very creepy, secret hats in the storeroom which are hidden using random assortment of letters. Nobody knows why they are there, and they have not yet been removed. Roblox is full of fun and games but there is a disturbingly dark side which lingers underneath the surface.

16. Getting stuck in terrifying games!

When you enter a game in Roblox, sometimes you cannot exit the game, even if you do not like it. And even if it's totally creeping you out. On one particular game, you enter a room which you become trapped in with a voice of somebody crying and a white Roblox figure with red eyes. The account was hacked but never logged out until very recently.

Roblox myth games are games that are full of dark settings and characters and messages. When you enter the game it is full with conspiracies and creepy characters along with  scary noises. They have become more and more popular on Roblox, with people continually trying to make a creepier one than the person before.

18. Some games just try to kill your avatar over and over and you can't stop it

There is an account called Nim who created their own game. When you clocked on the screen you could see an avatar which curls up on your screen (which goes black) and the avatar then charges towards you and kills your avatar over and over. Worst of all, players then found their laptop playing the game by itself. You could even see the mouse moving on its own.

19. You never know who is behind the account

One of the darkest things about Roblox (and of course, the internet in general) is that you never know who is behind the account. This is even more scary due to the fact that Roblox not only appeals to an adult audience but also a huge young audience. You do not know who you can trust, hat messages they will send or what their intentions are.

20. The Oobly account that steals your identity

There is an account called Oobly which sends messages to other players. These messages say things like 'save me' as well as a link to a game alongside the message. When you entered the game your character turned black, Oobly would then steal all of your items and then her identity would mimic yours, exactly what it had stolen from you. And, there was no way to get it back again.

21. There's numerous hackers on Roblox who take your control

There are infamous accounts such as IhavxLV, an account friends with numerous hackers, john doe and jane doe amongst many, many more. These hackers create games which lure you in, and then these hackers do something to your character or your computer which you cannot control. Knowing you are not fully in control is one of the very dark sides of Roblox.

22. You never know what the game will contain

One of the darkest and most dangerous things about Roblox is that you never truly know what the game you are choosing to pay will contain. Yes, there's a title, but this could be misleading or even then you never know what it will do. It could well be something terrifying or inappropriate - which sometimes it is!

There was an account called 1xqxqxq, who was an infamous hacker on Roblox. Youtubers had spoke publicly about him telling fans about their experiences with the account. The account was even supposedly leading a hacking group. But, Roblox tried to claim that it was just a story.

24. Many players have experienced frightening messages

A LOT of players on Roblox ant some point or another have received very frightening or evening threatening messages on the game. In one instance, when you clicked on a game you would receive the message 'you have made a mistake'.

The player's games would then start lagging.

25. Roblox haven't addressed many issues

There have been many issues on Roblox. It is open up to the public, meaning it is at more risk than a lot of games where players only are allowed to play, and not have any content control. There have been many instances which have raised eyebrows and Roblox have never even addressed them

26. Some creepy accounts create games which actually interfere with your computer

One of the scariest things about Roblox is that on some of the creepy accounts, when you played the games - probably unknowingly - it would actually start to affect your computer. So rather than you only being bale to exit games you don't like, some take over your computer.

27. There was a bug in which somebody could add you as a friend without you agreeing to it

Roblox for some time had a computer bug, during this period you could add anybody as a friend - even without their say so. Of course, when you think about this it could be quote dangerous. Who knows who is adding you as a friends, and for a child this could put them in harm's way.

28. Hackers send you threats!

On Roblox it is not an unusual occurrence that hackers will send you threats. These hackers have actually also sold accounts that aren't theirs and leaked emails with other people's Roblox details. One of the most infamous was the account 'Greg', which is now a terminated account.

29. Millions of children are playing it!

Especially after finding out what we now know, about the dark secrets, it is quite terrifying to learn that so many young children are paying Roblox. There are definitely fun and creative sides to Roblox. But there is also a side where children are not protected from the dark side of the internet.

30. The secret and unreleased avatars

There are two creepy looking hats in particular which have not yet officially been released yet. But you can still see them. They are called the Chris Narwhal and Chris Bat-vampire. Nobody knows who created them or why, but they are totally nightmarish especially for younger players.
