1. Peru - Lina Medina was just 5 years old

There was an extremely harrowing case in Peru where a young child named Lina Medina was just 5 years old when she had her own baby boy. This was back in 1939, and the father has never been identified. What is apparent is that this was r*pe and a tragic incident.

2. China - two 8-year-old children

In 1910, there were two 8 year old children who had a baby. The father, named Zhang and the mother named Hu were from China and were also victims of sexual abuse. The two of them became parents when the two of them were still just children themselves.

3. Russia - They were 9 years old

In 2010, Russia, two 9 year old children became the third youngest parents in the entire world. The mother and father lived close together in nearby towns. Neither of them had been educated on reproduction and it is thought they may also have been victims of abuse.

4. United Kingdom - 11 year old Alfie and Chantelle

Alfie Patten and Chantelle Steadman were both 11 years old and according to them, boyfriend and girlfriend. However, Steadman fell pregnant and the two became the youngest parents in the UK. The incident occurred in 2009, and it brought about changes to the sex education of young people.

5. America - Two fifth graders

In 1994, Sean Stewart (11) and Kirsten Hare (10) became America's youngest parents ever. The children both lived in North Carolina and attended the same school where both were in fifth grade together. When Kirsten Hare gave birth to their baby, the baby was put up for adoption due to the couple being too young to care for them.

6. Australia - parents at 12 years old

Two children, both 12 years old, became parents in Australia in 2001. The two of them were childhood sweet hearts. Sadly, when the child was born neither parent could look after the baby and so they were placed under the care of the state. The pregnancy was only discovered when she was sent to hospital with stomach pains, and from here the baby was delivered in an emergency c-section.

7. Spain - a vulnerable 10-year-old girl

A little girl from Spain, at just 10 years old became the country's youngest ever mother. The father is believed to be of a similar age, however, his details have remained hidden. The mother, along with the baby were both taken into care as vulnerable children in need of protection.

8. Switzerland  - Assaulted by a member of her family

Anna Mummenthaler was just 8 years old when she experienced her very tragic past which occurred back in the year old 1662. She had been sexually assaulted by one of her very own relatives. She gave birth to a baby who was still born. It is unknown how old the father was.

9. Nigeria - a mother at at 8, grandmother at 17

Mum Zi from an island off Nigeria was 8 years old when she gave birth to her baby in 1884. Then, her child when she was also 8 years old gave birth to her baby. She then became the youngest grandparent at just 17 years old, before she had even hit maturity herself.

A nine year old girl in Mexico gave birth to her baby at 9 years old. The girl only found out that she was pregnant when she was 7 months along. It is another saddening case of sexual abuse, the father was a boy who was 17, who ran away as soon as he discovered the news.

11. Thailand - the 8 year old who fell pregnant with her HUSBAND

A girl named Wanwisa Janmuk from Thailand was made to marry a man of 27 years when she was just 8 years old. She fell pregnant and had given birth to their baby at nine years old. Shockingly, this happened in 2001. She became the youngest ever mother in Asia.

12. Bulgaria - 11 year old mom, 19 year old dad

There was another very similar case in Bulgaria more recently in 2009 where an 11-year-old girl named Kordeza Zhelyazkova was married off to her husband who was 19 years old. She then fell pregnant and gave birth at just 11 years of age to her husband's baby.

13. Colombia - A sexually exploited 8 year old girl

In Colombia, the girl to become the country's youngest ever parent was just 8-years-old. The father, whose details are unknown, was said to be a friend of the family. She birthed her baby boy who arrived healthily into the world, and the mother also remained healthy during the birth.

14. Philippines - a 10 year old birthed her father's baby

There was a very disturbing case in the Philippines of a 10 year old girl who was r*ped by her father and ended up falling pregnant and birthing his child. She was taken under care of the state and her baby was put up for adoption whilst her father was arrested for his crimes.

15. Argentina - 10 years old, r*ped by her cousin

In Argentina a 10 year old girl was r*ped by her 15 year old cousin. She fell pregnant and did not realise until she was 16 weeks along given to the fact that nobody suspected what had happened and the young girl did not realise. He was imprisoned, and after a traumatic birth both she and the baby recovered.

16. Bolivia - r*ped and taken away by her own father at 10 years old

A girl in Bolivia was 10 years old when she gave birth to a baby. One year later she fell pregnant yet again. It was after discovered that her father had routinely r*ped her. He then took the girl away, as well as her baby so that the authorities could not find them.

17. India - an 8 year old girl died in childbirth

An 8 year old girl died in India during childbirth. At just 8 years old her body could not handle the birth. She had been married off to a husband, her mother had believed it would help her escape poverty. However after marriage she soon fell pregnant.

18. Iran - Sold by her mother at 9 years old

A 9 year old girl was sold by her own mother as a sex slave at just 8 years old. She fell pregnant and birthed a child at 9 years old. She was continually abused and r*ped as a sex slave, and at 14 years old gave birth to twins. When Iranian authorities found out they punished her, she, the victim of sexual abuse and assault, only just escaped the sentencing of death.

19. Singapore - her mother discovered her 9-year -old was pregnant

After taking her little girl to the doctors, it was found out she was pregnant. She and her boy friend of a similar age would meet after school. While the parents were out the house things got out of hand. The baby was put up for adoption, the mother was sent away to school and the father was sent away to a reformative centre.

20. Ukraine - A 5-year-old r*ped by her 70 year old grandfather

There was a terrible case in Ukraine in 1934 of a 5 year old girl becoming pregnant. Her rapist, was her vey own grandfather who was 70 years old. She gave birth at 6, managing to survive but the baby died during the birth. The family moved countries - and took their grandfather with them!

21. South Africa - A 9 year old birthed a healthy baby

In South Africa a girl of 9 years called Venesia Xoagus fell pregnant. It is still unknown who the father is and at such a young age communication is more difficult as the girl didn't properly understand what was happening. But, she had a c-section and gave birth to a healthy baby.

22. Brazil - She was 9 years old when she was r*ped by her older nephew

In 1986, Maria Eliane Jesus Mascarenhas was just 9 years old when she was sexually abused by her 16 year old nephew. Her nephew had been adopted, he was twice her age and taking advantage of being a part of the new family he r*ped Mascarenhas who had her baby at the age of 9.

23. Turkey - the youngest Turkish mother on record

In Turkey, the youngest ever parent is officially recorded as 9 years old. This particular case happened in 1990. When the girl went to hospital,  it was a strange case where the doctors believed that the girl was actually a few years older than was recorded due to assessing her physical maturity.

24. El Salvador - A 9 year old mother to her step father's baby

In El Salvador, there was another terrible case of being assaulted by a family member. A 9 year old named Maria was r*ped by her stepfather. She then fell pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy and who she then named Jose Manuel, all at the age of just 9 years old.

25. Honduras - Carrying the baby of her abusive father

A 9 year old girl fell pregnant with her father's baby. He was 57, named Andres Gabriel and he had sexually abused her since she was 6 years old. When she had the baby, he asked her to lie and pretend she was 13 and that he was in fact a step father. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

26. Malaysia - A 9 year old girl became pregnant with her friend

In 2010, Malaysia, a young 10 year old girl became pregnant with her neighbour who was 14 years old. The two of them were very good friends. The parents decided not to get police involved, owing to the fact that they knew how much this boy meant to their daughter.

27. Senegal - A 9 year old orphaned girl was impregnated by a 60 year old man

In 2010, a 9 year old girl lived her grandmother due to being orphaned. Her grandmother had a tenant who was 60 years old. Her granddaughter  became pregnant after being r*ped by her tenant. She gave birth to the baby and gave the daughter up for adoption due to not being able to look after her being a vulnerable child herself.

A 10 year old girl from Chile was r*ped by Luis Ramos who was 24 years old at the time, and her step father. Both her mother and step father were jailed after the horrifying incident and she and the baby were both taken into care as they no longer had a mother to look after them.

29. Mauritius - A 10 year old carrying her father's baby

In Mauritius there was another shocking case where a 10 year old girl was r*ped and impregnated by her own father. The girl had been staying home one day from school because she was sick, when he sexually assaulted her. Her father was jailed and she gave birth to a healthy baby.

Evita, a 10 year old girl from Nicaragua in 2007 was r*ped by Alejandro Torres who was her 22-year-old cousin. Her mother was worried about her child after her abdomen started to swell. On taking her to the doctor she discovered why and she then released Alejandro's name to the press.

To be pregnant at such a young age is terrifying enough, but to think you have stomach pains and then find out your pregnant when you didn't even know? The 6 year old, only known as 'H', had to give birth through caesarean. She hadn't even had her first period yet before giving birth.

32. Colombia - The girl who began menstruating at the age of 3

A girl in Colombia named Griseldina apparently began menstruating at the young age of 3 years old, before she gave birth at the age of 8 years and 2 months. The father of the baby was apparently a family friend - with no further details known, we can only presume he was a family friend who was a lot older.

33. Peru - The 8 year old who birthed her cousin's baby

A young girl in Peru named Hilda Trujillo ended up giving birth at the age of 8, to her cousin's baby. Her cousin was 22 years old at the time, and was later arrested for r*pe. Hilda gave birth to a baby daughter, who survived the birth, and was named Maria.

34. Mexico - The 8 year old r*ped by her uncle

Another tragic case of an innocent little girl being r*ped so young by one of her own family members. Zulma Guadalupe Morales was only 8 years old when she was r*ped back in 1993 by her uncle, and ended up giving birth to a baby boy in hospital in Jalisco.

35. Colombia - The unidentified girl r*ped fetching her mother's medicine

A girl whose name is unknown was only 8 years old when she gave birth to a baby after she had been r*ped. After a policeman became suspicious when he spotted the girl with a swollen stomach, it turned out she'd been r*ped by a 32-year-old employee of the pharmacy the girl had gone to to get her mother's medicine.

36. United Kingdom - The girl who began menstruating at a year old

A man in Yorkshire, England, back in 1881 was reported to have delivered a baby to a pregnant girl who was only 9 years old - and had apparently begun menstruating at only 12 months old. The baby she gave birth to had only 3 toes on one foot, and died soon after birth.

37. United States - A 9 year old gives birth

A young girl from the United States. known only as Estelle, was said to be 9 years old when she gave birth back in 1908. The father of the baby is unknown, and Estelle's baby was actually premature when he was born, which was in the hospital of Arkansas.

38. South Africa - The 9 year old given a C-Section

Back in the 60s, a 9 year old who had been pregnant gave birth to a child in a hospital not far from Johannesburg, South Africa. The 9 year old girl, whose name is unknown but came from Brakpan, SA, had to have a C-section in order to deliver the baby safely.

39. Argentina - The 9 year old who had a baby with her cousin

A young girl named Maria Eulalia Allende from Argentina was only 9 years old when she gave birth to a baby. The father of the baby was said to be her own cousin - presumably forcing himself on Maria - and was actually sought by police after he disappeared a few months before the baby was born.

40. United States - The 11 year old who had a baby on her birthday

The same doctor who had delivered the baby of Estelle from the United States had actually also delivered the baby girl of an 11-year old only over a week before this time. She had to deliver the baby via C-section, and the birth happened on the mother's 11th birthday.

41. Argentina - The farm boy who got a 9 year old pregnant

At only 9 years old, a young girl from Argentina gave birth to a baby in the 1960s, after getting pregnant by a farm boy who came from her village. Although very young himself, the young boy apparently offered to marry the girl's mother - but her own parents didn't consent.

42. Iran - A man paid her parents to r*pe her

A girl named Leyla from Iran was only 9 years old when she began to be abused and r*ped by a man who had paid her parents to let him do so. She ended up having not one, but three children, the first at age 9 and then she gave birth to twins at the age of 14.

43. Colombia - The neighborhood teen pregnancy at 9 years old

An unnamed girl in a Colombian neighborhood first fell pregnant at the age of only 9, by a teen boy in her community. She gave birth a premature baby on Christmas Day, in 2004. But that wasn't the end of it - she was pregnant again at the age of 10, by the hands of a man in his 40s, and gave birth to a second child.

44. United States - Pregnant at 10 years old

A young girl named Sally from the United States became pregnant at only 10 years old, to an unnamed father. Her case, which goes back to the 1800s, actually saw Sally develop breasts as a baby at only a few weeks old - and she began menstruating at only 1 year old.

45. Brazil - 10 years old after a neighbor r*ped her

An unfortunate young girl from Brazil was only 10 years old when she was not only r*ped, but then had to give birth to the child of her rapist. The man responsible was a neighbor, and she was forced to give birth via C-section in hospital when she found out she was pregnant.

Not only did this young girl have to give birth at the young age of 10, she had to give birth to her own brother's baby, who was arrested on charge of r*ping her. The unnamed girl gave birth to a girl via C-section, while her brother was 28 years old and she was only 10.

47. Paraguay - The 11 year old's mother thought she had a tumor at first

When Mainumby from Paraguay was taken into hospital by her mother, it's because she thought her child had a tumor - but the doctors discovered the 10-11 year old was pregnant. When the doctor's said the girl's life was at risk as a result, the mother requested permission for an abortion, but it was denied.

48. United States - A 10 year old who was molested

An unnamed girl from the US was only 10 years old back in the 80s when she gave birth to a child. Her pregnancy came as a result of being molested by both her uncle, and the husband of one of her own babysitters. The uncle admitted r*ping her 6 times. She didn't even know she was pregnant until she went to hospital.

When a young 9 year old girl from Singapore was taken to the doctor's by her mother, it was because she believed she had a Urinary Tract Infection - only to find out instead that she was pregnant, thanks to a student at her school. She gave birth to a baby boy.

50. Rwanda - Pregnant at 9 years old because of the houseboy

A girl of only 9 years of age in Rwanda became pregnant after she was r*ped by the houseboy her parents had employed in their home. She ended up giving birth to a baby boy at hospital later. The girl had apparently developed very early, with her periods starting at 8 years old.
