1. The scripts from season 1 were lost in the post

2. No breathing on set during the Battle of Winterfell

Because it was filmed near Belfast in low temperatures the air made it visible to breathe. So, for all the stuntmen and extras who had fallen during the battle they were literally instructed to hold their breaths.

And it is not always possible for some storylines not to be leaked. So, they go to the extreme of filming some fake scenes so that nobody will really know the true storyline.

Kit Harrington was about to receive a speeding ticket and got creative with a way to sneak out of it. 8. Iwan Rheon wanted to play Jon Snow

10. Filming doesn't stop for a broken ankle

And, he attempted to climb through the window which resulted with him having a broken ankle. Filming could not stop and so he had to hobble his way around the set and have stand-ins do the harder scenes.

11. The show is straying more and more from the novels

12. Every three hours someone tried to get on set

Game of Thrones fans are very dedicated and spying an opportunity to see the set and characters was clearly too much to resist.

13. They had more protection than any other show before

15. Peter Dinklage and  Lena Headey are actually good friends

16. They replicated the falling 9/11 towers

To do this they would watch videos of the 9/11 twin towers collapsing so that they could replicate the movement of the fall and apply it to the special effects.

17. Emilia Clarke got stuck to the toilet

But, when Emilia Crake, who plays the popular Daenerys Targaryen, went to the toilet she found it very hard to get back up again as she had become stuck to the toilet seat.

18. Tyrion's tofu

Apart from the fact that Tyrion's is never real meat, it is always soya or tofu of some kind. This is because Tyrion does actually have to eat it otherwise it would not look real and so his will always be vegan.

19. The Queen Lannister is nice in real life...

But, it is homage to her good acting skills that she has portrayed herself entirely opposite to how she is in reality. According to her fellow cast members she's very kind and funny.

20. Football with a prosthetic head

21. The Night's Watch kitted out at Ikea

22. Dragons were inspired by geese

23. It's the most expensive show ever

24. The swords are made of rubber

But, they are not carved out of authentic metal. They are in fact just rubber. Which considering they have to be carried aro9und all day makes it much easier.
