He frequently used his powerful status as a celebrity to coerce people into doing things and sexually abusing women and children. Here's a detail of his history to get to this point.

2. Intimidating Witnesses in 2021

This was an attempt to prevent the jury member from attending the trial through witness intimidation. Michael Williams was then sentences to 8 years in prison.

He was the leader of a sex trafficking ring which ensnared women and young girls and boys all over into being a sex slave.

6. His relationship with underage Aailiyah used as evidence

One of these that the judge asked the defence team if they denied that R Kelly had a relationship with Aailyah who was underage. The defence lawyers said that they did not deny it, meaning it had to be considered as evidence.

7. Prison assault and bail denial 2020

R Kelly's lawyer then appealed for him to get bail, arguing that his safety inside prison could not be guaranteed. But again, the court rules that he would be allowed bail.

8. Charges of prostitution 2019

9. Charges of sex trafficking 2019

Image source/ XXLIn 2019 R Kelly faces two federal indictments. He was charges with organising the sex trafficking of underage children as well as producing photos of sexual abuse images. He was charged with transporting underage girls over the state lines to use them for prostitution.

11. An incriminating video

12. Force and threat

But soon after these prosecutors filed an additional 13 charges to his name. Victims started to speak out and it came to light he had been forcing girls ages 13-16 into sexual activities.

Companys such as Spotify took down his sings from their platform as he continued to deny and defend himself.

14. Victims coming forward 2018

Mrs Pace had signed a non-disclosure agreement with the singer but broke it to come forward and speak out about having sexual relations underage. Another woman named Kitti Jones spoke out about house he starved her and forced her into sexual relations.

15. Scouting young girls

Image source/ ComplexIt also came to light in 2018 that R Kelly would ask people to scout girls for him at parties and events - girls that looked like they were young or underage. According to one source it was common knowledge amongst many that R Kelly preferred girls to be young.

16. 2017 - Sex cult

These allegations stated that he would confiscate women's phones and tell them when to do everything including dressing and eating and he would force them into relations with himself.

17. Mothers of vanished daughters

Image source/ BustleThese new allegations back in 2017 were of former employees of R Kelly as well as the mothers of daughters who they claimed had essentially vanished once they had met R Kelly - who had been keeping them with him and forcing them into being his sex slave.

18. An intentional sexual transmitted disease

19. Arrested in 2002-2004

R Kelly would film a lot of his sexual abuse. But the case got dropped due to insufficient evidence, so a search was not carried out.

20. Charged with 21 counts of child sexual abuse 2002

This was after the video had been sent and the FBI bad confirmed was authentic. But because they could not prove the child in the video was under the age of 16 the charges were dopped.

22. Patricia Jones allegations

23. Mortina Woods sued R Kelly

The court settled on an amount which was not disclosed and then in return Mortina Woods had to sign a non-disclosure agreement so that she could not speak of it again.

24. 2001, sued by his intern

She spoke out about he would try and control everything she did or where she went and who she saw. And, then when he had used her he cast her aside without a thought.

25. Sued for emotional distress in 1996

Image source/ ClevelandTiffany Hawkins sued R Kelly in 1996 for a harmful three-year relationship in which she faced personal harm and emotional distress due to the way he had treated her in this time. The relationship started inn 1991 when she was just 15 years old and ended when she was 18.

26. Settled for 250 thousand

Image source/ blogspotTiffany Hawkins had demanded that she get 10 million as compensation charges but in the end agreed upon 250 thousand dollars by the court. The case was settled in 1998. A spokeswoman for R Kelly denied everything saying that he had no knowledge of this.

27. 1994 R Kelly's marriage to Alliyah

28. Fake ID
