Walt Disney Pictures were the distributors pf Toy Story although they hadn't yet acquired Pixar. They did so in 2006. As this was the case, it's not surprising that they sneaked in a Mickey Mouse reference in the form of a popular 1990s wristwatch wall clock complete with blue watch strap.
13. Dinoco appears in other Pixar movies as well

When Andy's mother stops to get some petrol on the way to Pizza Planet, she pulls into a Dinoco station. That fuel station's name and logo probably look very familiar to Disney fans because the brand is heavily featured in 'Cars'. The logo also appears in 'WALL-E.'
14. The license plate on Andy's mom's car is an Easter egg featured in all Pixar movies

Image source Disney/PixarThe license plate on the family car is 'A113.' This code is in nearly all the Pixar movies as well as some Disney films. One references a classroom where many of the studio's animators attended to hone their craft, at the California Institute of the Arts. 'A113' is also visible on a classroom door in 'Monsters University.'
15. Woody and Buzz fight in front of the real-estate office that sold Andy's house

Image source Disney/PixarThe For Sale sign outside Andy's house features the real estate company Virtual Realty. When Woody and Buzz start fighting under the car, later in the film, there's a Virtual Realty office behind them. It's this attention to detail that makes us love the movie even more.
16. The Pizza Planet truck has become another Pixar Easter egg

Image source Disney/PixarThe Pizza Planet delivery truck has a recognisable appearance, thanks to its yellow colour and the giant rocket on top. The truck is another iconic Pixar Easter egg that can be found in many other movie - outside a trailer in 'It's a Bug's Life', outside a mobile home in 'Monster, Inc. and in the junkyard in 'WALL-E'.
17. Woody calls the aliens zealots

Image source Disney/PixarWhen Buzz and Woody jump into the rocket-shaped crane game at Pizza Planet, they meet up with loads of little green alien toys. The aliens describe the claw as their 'master and they stop Woody from saving Buzz from it. Woody refers to them as zealots — meaning uncompromising and fanatical, an accurate description of the claw-worshipping aliens!
18. There are some unique decals on the Pizza Planet truck

Image source Disney/PixarTake a peak at the delivery truck, The Pizza Planet, that Woody and Buzz catch a ride in as it has some unique details on the back. On the boot, it says 'yo' in large letters, to signify it's a beaten up Toyota and the licence plate reads 'RES1536', evidently a reference to the resolution of the movie. There's also a neutral face on the back window instead of a smiley face!
19. Sid's room is darker and messier than Andy's

Image source Disney/PixarSid's room is designed to look unsettling and the dark space is a stark contrast to contrast to Andy's bright, cheerful bedroom. His toy chest is also different from Andy's as it has 'keep out' and 'toxic' written on it. The creepy DIY franken-toys make it look very effective.
20. There's an ad for Al's Toy Barn, a major part of the second movie

Image source Disney/PixarBuzz won't accept that he's a toy until he sees a Buzz Lightyear commercial at Sid's. The advert says that Buzz is the 'world's greatest toy' and is available at Al's Toy Barn. This is the first time the toy store is ever mentioned but it does feature prominently in the second instalment.
21. Sid's house has a rug that looks the one from a famous horror movie

Image source Disney/PixarThis is so clever! When Woody leaves Sid's room, he runs past a hallway carpet with an unusual pattern, familiar to horror fans. It features an orange, yellow and red geometric design that looks a lot like the carpet at the Overlook Hotel in 'The Shining.'
22. Buzz references a famously decapitated queen while drinking tea with headless dolls

Image source Disney/PixarWhen Sid's sister pulls Buzz into her room for a tea party with her mangled toys, two of the headless dolls are named by the space ranger - 'Marie Antoinette and her sister,' a historical reference to the famous queen who was beheaded, as instructed by her husband Louis XV1.
23. A song from another Disney movie plays when Andy's family is in the car

Image source Disney/PixarWhen Andy's sister Molly and his mum are driving past the moving truck, a song can be clearly heard on the stereo from another Disney movie. Around the 1 hour 12 mins mark, Hakuna Matala from 'The Lion King' is sounded for about ten seconds - enough for viewers to make the connection.
24. Sid has an interrogation handbook in his room

Image source Disney/PixarSid's treatment of toys include techniques involving blowing them up, torturing them, and performing surgery on them - as Woody can testify! When Woody is trapped under a crate in the scary kid's room, there's a book behind him, 'Improvised Interrogation Handbook' from the 'Department of the Army Technical Manual.'
25. Andy's Friends Are All Andy Clones

Image source Disney/PixarGiven that Toy Story was the first totally computer-animated film, it's no surprise that Pixar took a number of shortcuts to lighten their production load. Early in the film when Andy's friends arrive at his house for his party (and when Sarge (R. Lee Ermey) is watching proceedings through his binocular), for a brief moment you can see all Andy's friends look like him, different clothes but the same face.
26. Buzz Has 'Disney' Written On His Butt

Image source Disney/PixarIn case you somehow didn't remember that Toy Story was a Disney film, the studio placed a subconscious reminder on Buzz Lightyear's (Tim Allen) posterior which can be noticed in some of the movie shots where it says 'Disney'. That changed later on to Pixar when they acquired the licence.
27. Everyone Blinks One Eye At A Time

Image source Disney/PixarHere's something that's really subtle, yet noticeable, if you've seen the movie enough times. The movie's toy characters blink their eyes one at a time, with one eyelid moving faster than the other. This is known as offset blinking and is a trick used to depict a character who isn't very intelligent!
28. All The Animation Short-Cuts

In addition to making Andy's friends copy-paste clones of himself, as mentioned, Pixar also employed a number of other sneaky animation short-cuts that you might have noticed. None of the movie's human characters have long hair, because Pixar was still working out the difficult mechanics of hair physics at the time. That's why Andy's mother has her hair tied up in a pony tail.
29. Buzz's Wilhelm Scream

Image source Disney/PixarBack in the day, the Wilhelm scream was a sneaky Easter egg that sound engineers included in their movies but the distinctive scream sound effect was so 'out there' that it has been proven to be more distracting than funny and always gets a guaranteed groan.
30. Penn Jillette Narrates The Buzz Lightyear Commercial

Image source Disney/PixarSo we've discussed the incredible moment when Buzz finally comes to terms with the fact that he's a toy? The hilariously over-the-top commercials included a surprise celebrity cameo, with the crazy narration being provided by the legendary magician Penn Jillette.
