30 Toys You Haven’t Seen Since The 90s But Will Immediately Bring Back Memories
1. Tamagotchi

Image Source/WikipediaOnce you were the proud owner of a Tamagotchi, the miniature digital pet, you became completely addicted. You knew you had to get up a bit earlier for school to tend to its needs and then you'd rush back at the end of the day to check it was still alive. Such a responsibility!
2. Playstation

3. Beanie Babies

Besides being a toy, they turned out to be valuable collectables that sold and still sell for a small fortune!
4. Stretch Armstrong

Image source PinterestStretch Armstrong was released in 1976 and was the must have Christmas toy that year. It was a gel-filled action figure that could be stretched, pulled and twisted up to 5 feet in length! In fact, it stayed on the store shelves up to 1997 so that would explain its popularity.
5. Betty Spaghetty

She came with interchangeable beads that could be threaded on to her arms and legs, to give her a different appearance. We were easily pleased back then!

7. Etch-A-Sketch

When you were done, you would shake the Etch-A-Sketch and your masterpiece would disappear, ready for you to start creating again.

These funny little dolls with coloured, tufty hair, were so popular. You could even get Troll pencil toppers and kids would swap them with their friends if they preferred one with a different hair colour. The '90s was definitely the Troll decade.
10. Mouse Trap

11. Furbies

Image source TodayThe Furby was one of the most iconic toys of that decade and was extremely popular on its release in 1998. Queues formed over the Christmas period that year as parents were desperate to get their hands on the Furbies so their kids wouldn't be disappointed on Xmas Day.
12. Mr Potato Head

The plastic body was supplied several decades later and the Mr Potato Head that we know and love was created. Mr and Mrs Potato Head appeared in the Toy Story franchise in the '90s and popularity soared through the roof.
13. Power Rangers

The show was so successful that the Power Ranger figurines, 12 dolls, were launched and every kid wanted to own one.

Pokemon was already popular thanks to the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. By introducing Pokomon Cards, a new playground pastime was invented.
15. Buzz Lightyear

The Buzz Lightyear doll was identical to the character in the movie and could speak, saying his most loved phrase 'To Infinity, And Beyond!' It was a classic.

A cool head and nimble fingers were required to win but with little fiddly pieces and triangles that all looked exactly the same under pressure, the chances of taking home the trophy were slim!

Players had to move their hippo’s head forward so it could eat as many of the plastic balls as possible. The player with the most balls at the end of the game was the hippo champion!

Certain pieces were brought to life as they were battery powered, such as the steps that went up and down and the revolving Sonic magnet right at the top of the game.

They were essentially the same thing but cheaper and with a different design. The devices themselves came in different colours and shapes and the pets inside had to be played with and cleaned up afterwards so they didn't die!

21. Super Soaker

Gaming watches were so 'in' during the '90s and the Donkey Kong Gaming Wristwatch was the best thing since sliced bread. Made by Nintendo, it featured games with Mario, Zelda. Star Fox and Donkey Kong. We would sneak it into our school bags and get it out, under the desk, to play during lessons.
23. Poo-Chi Dog

It’s eyes would light up and they'd change shapes and size so you knew what emotion your pooch was feeling. Parents will remember the constant barking out of everything!
24. Tickle Me Elmo

He’s one of the most loved Sesame Street characters and provided kids with a cuddly companion at bed time. Elmo could vibrate, shake and giggle when you squeezed him. He really was soooo cute!
25. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

KNex was everything back in the '90s. My personal memory was our local toy store displaying a different KNex model every week in December. The largest one was an enormous ferris wheel that spun around with baskets for miniature people to sit in.

They were always getting confiscated by the teachers and kids would be queuing up at home time to re-claim them! Kids could make their own frozen ice cubes in lots of different shapes and make crushed slushy drinks in bright, garish colours. Green was a particular favourite of mine!
30. Cadbury Chocolate Money Box

Image source RedditOh, what happy memories with this one. A Cadbury Chocolate Money Box was the best toy ever. You put 10p in the slot and out came an individually wrapped chocolate. When the money box was empty, we'd take all the coins to the local sweet shop and re-stock.
