50 Sweets & Chocolate Bars Everyone Will Remember From Their Childhood

1. United

We all remember these chocolate bars from when we were younger. There was nothing more delicious than tucking into one of these. These were definitely made for football fans! They need to bring all the old chocolate bars back!

2. 54321

The one great thing about this chocolate bar was the advert that came alongside it. Whenever it came on the telly we could do nothing but sing along with it! I used to annoy my parents all the time by singing along! I can't believe you used to get 5 bars in one!

3. Trio

We can all agree that the Trio bar was definitely one of a kind. If we were going to have any chocolate bar then this was definitely high up on our list. The best was when your parents bought these and put them in your lunch box for lunch time at school!

4. Banjo

This was a crispy wafer, with a nice nutty taste. We all remember having one of these when we were younger. They weren't for everyone but if you liked them, you loved them!

5. Texan

If there was one bar that would guarantee to put us in a good mood - it was definitely this one. The Texan chocolate bar was definitely one of a kind. This brings back so many delightful memories! The Texan bar was a combination nougat and toffee covered in chocolate - delightful!

6. Pyramint

I think we were all obsessed with this chocolate because it came in such a weird shape. Mint chocolate was always so delicious, wasn't it? This brings back so many good memories! It's a shame Terry's no longer make these but thankfully they still make chocolate oranges!

7. Aztec

The nougat and caramel centre just MADE this Aztec bar, didn't it? We knew that anything that was branded by Cadbury's was guaranteed to be so delicious. They seemed to just disappear from our shelves overnight, I'm sure people would love to see them put back there!

8. Cabana

This chocolate bar was very aptly named. It had cherry pieces inside of it... But it also had caramel and coconut too and it was all just a bit much, there were one too many flavours.

9. Secret

We all kept it a secret when we were sneaky enough to have one of these chocolate bars. No matter how bad they were for you, we just couldn't resist! The advert was perfect for it too, do you remember?

10. Taxi

We all remember these from when we were growing up. This brings back SO many memories! I used to buy these on the way home from school and eat it quickly before I got home so my mum didn't know! If she didn't know then I'd be able to get something from the snack cupboard too!

11. Aniseed balls

Loved these! They were super hard like gobstoppers but packed some serious power with their taste. They were definitely like marmite, and you either loved or hated them! They still make these and you can find them in some sweet stores!

12. Liquorice Torpedoes

I didn't really like these! They were definitely either your favourite sweet in the tuck shop or you'd never go near them.

13. Yorkshire Mixture

Loved these! These were the original Haribo's and it's a shame you don't see them anymore! However good Haribo's are now, they will never replace these!

14. Spearmint Chews

Do they still make these? Probably replaced by soft mints in most shops, these were great and one of my favourites! But to be honest most of the sweets on this list are!

15. Chocolate Limes

YUK! How did anyone like these? It was such a bizarre combination, but somehow they managed to sell!

16. Wine Gums

Very nice! It's great to see them still around today, they go straight in my basket whenever I see them! They used to be one of the first things in my bag!

17. Midget Gems

I could eat these all day! These were glorious and cause they were so chewy you could literally make them last for ages.

18. Strawberry Sherbets

I loved these sweets! Any form of sherbert was a childhood win, but these were the don of sherbert sweets.

19. Bulls Eyes

Not my favourite sweets. They were pretty much humbugs but spherical like aniseed balls. They were also known as bullets too! Do you remember these?

20. Sweet Peanuts

Who remembers these? I didn't like them but a lot of my friends did. They were extremely peanutty. Did you like these?

21. Lemon Sherbets

Classic holiday sweets! We used to always have a bag of these as we took off on a flight to stop our ears from popping! We still sometimes get these!

22. Cherry Lips

I still eat these sweets! How good were they? You can only get them at proper old style sweet shops.

23. Floral Gums

Who remembers these? They weren't for everyone but they were surprisingly popular! I personally didn't like them they were far too fragrant.

24. Pear Drops

These are one of the most classic sweets out there. These boiled sweets were in everybody's pick and mixes!

25. Sherbet Pips

They were my favourite when I was younger. Pink, white and yellow sherbety pips with a certain amount of fizz. They were definitely eaten by the handful.

26. Tom Thumb Drops

I still love these. The multicolour pieces of candy are full of fruity flavour and definitely an old favourite.

27. Chewing Nuts

These are still as tasty as they ever were. These pieces of chewy toffee heaped in chocolate are a household name. I'm sure we all remember these!

28. Pineapple Cubes

These were SO good. The cubes are full of flavour and lasted for ages. They slowly broke up and became chewy and were always picked when I went to the sweet shop!

29. Strawberry Bon Bons

These were the BEST. They were chewy in all the right places and you could eat them non stop! There were different flavours too and it was amazing getting a ton of different flavours.

30. Cough Candy Twist

I loved these! These are fully retro and perfect if you have a cough or a cold or even just a tickly throat. Any excuse to have a few of these tasty treats.

31. Kop Kops

Who remembers these? They are the original liquorice and aniseed-flavoured treats, but they had a perfect balance between the flavours. They had a very hard outer but a soft centre making them perfect for having a few at a time. They are somewhere between a Fisherman's Friend and a cough candy twist, definitely worth a go.

32. Cola Cubes

Loved these! Like Pineapple cubes but arguably tastier. They weren't for everyone but if you liked them, you really liked them. They were amazing when they became chewy.

Hands up who agrees Dairy milk is and will always be the best chocolate ever. Remember the bar six too?

34. Milkybar Choo

Well, these were simply sensational! Who remembers the strawberry flavour, so good. I do seem to remember them starting at about 20p though before being hiked up to the price of a standard chocolate bar. There is plenty of people lobbying their return online, hopefully, they get their wish.

35. Wispa Mint

Wispa actually vanished from our shelves altogether, however after Cadbury were giving plenty of resistance from the great chocolate lovers out there, they have brought back the original chocolate version. However us mint fans are still waiting! There was also that stunning coffee flavour, Wispaccino, so good.

36. Flake Snow

Well for all white chocolate lovers, this really is the one that probably breaks your heart the most. However, we have some interesting news for you. You can still get your hands on a Dream bar. Although it may cost you a few quid in flights, as they are only sold in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. So, basically, the opposite side of the world! Just our luck.

These were basically a bar version of the old famous Walnut Whip! They broke easily but if you managed to get yours home without cracking it in your shopping bag, then you were in for a treat! However, they were discontinued in 2003, 15 years ago!

39. Cadbury Dairy Milk Marble

Wow! This one rolls back the memories, doesn't it? Dairy milk has done so many brilliant variants of their chocolate over the years, but this mix of milk and white chocolate with a hazelnut centre was right up there with the best.

40. Galaxy Truffle Celebrations

Celebrations have never been the same since this bad boy was removed. Galaxy chocolate is so nice, I'm not sure what they do with it, but it is so much better than everything else. The fight for these in the celebration tin could get a bit brutal.

41. Mars Delights

Would you believe me if I told you that one of these had more calories than a Big Mac and fries from McDonald's? Well, it's true. However, you do not regret one single bite of it! These were unreal. They sadly kind of just disappeared over time and our chocolate shelves have been suffering ever since.

42. Cadbury Snaps

Cadbury Snaps were so good but so dangerous. A whole box of these could get demolished without even thinking about it! These were the Pringles for chocolate lovers. What was your favourite flavour, mint or orange?

43. Mingles

Mingles were the mint chocolate lovers dream. Although, am I the only one who thinks that every single one of them tasted pretty much exactly the same? Not that it was an issue, as they were delicious. It was always the purely dark chocolate ones that ended up as the last ones in the pack.

44. Spira Bar

For some reason, the Spira bars have been forgotten by most. They were only discontinued in 2005 as well, so they were only pulled from our shelves just over 10 years ago. However, those that do remember them will have been gutted to see them go. So good!

45. KitKat Senses

How were these pulled from the shelves? They were extremely delicious, but with Kinder Bueno's on the rise, I guess people no longer needed the KitKat version.

46. Fuse bar

Fuse bars were amazing, they seemed to have a bit of everything! They had bits of nut, some raisins and tons of fudge pieces and all coated in chocolate. They started in '96 but just a decade later in '06 the bars were discontinued.

47. Toffos

These sweets, whilst not actually chocolate, were up there with our favourites. Super chewy and pretty much Rolos without chocolate, they came to an end in 2008, saddening an awful lot of people who loved them.

49. Double Cream

Double cream bars were one of my favourites but Nestle decided to pull the plug on them due to a lack of sale in 2005. One retailer said at the time: "It doesn't have the heritage of Cadbury and the fact it contains double cream has not proved compelling enough to customers." They were probably very bad for you but I was too busy eating them to read the label.

50. Marble

Marble was just one of a very long line of Cadbury creations that did well at first but quickly dropped off as they brought out something else that was new. It was melt in the mouth chocolate that was a massive hit, but unfortunately not enough to keep it being made. It was a combination of praline, milk and white chocolate and its crazy pattern made it a real favourite.
