12 British Desserts Every American Is Missing Out On

1. Neapolitan Ice Cream

There is genuinely nothing more delicious than this little trio of ice creams. We all have a secret favourite flavour, but you absolutely cannot beat the three of these delights as a combination. I think we could easily get through a tub of this on our own in one night and still have no regrets.

2. Choc Ices

Image result for choc icesThese are ridiculously cheap but are absolutely insane. The choc ice has to be one of the most basic ice creams in the world, but there is something very special about them. When its warm outside and you want a nice treat to cool off then this is your go-to treat.

3. Vienetta

4. Scones, Jam and Cream

Although we disagree on the pronunciation, we can all agree that this treat is DIVINE paired with jam and cream. Dreamy.

5. Battenberg

We can all agree that not only does the Battenberg look incredible, but it also tastes absolutely divine too. Pair a slice of this with a nice cup of tea then you have a dream come true! I think we can all agree that Mr Kipling makes a mean battenberg.

6. Victoria Sponge

This is quite a classic, but if you get a home-made Victoria sponge cake then you will all admit that it is just something special. The jam and cream with the soft, scrumptious sponge make an invincible combination.

7. Jam Tarts

8. Jam Roly Poly

9. Chocolate Cake with pink custard (a primary school classic)

Image result for chocolate cake pink custardThis absolutely defined your childhood. We don't know why - but this tasted INCREDIBLE. If you were on hot school dinners and they whipped out this bad boy then you were absolutely loving life. Then it either came completely saturated in pink or green custard... we literally used to LICK the bowls clean because they were that delicious.

10. Caterpillar Cake

Now, Collin the Caterpillar just had to make an appearance at every single birthday party back in the day. If anything, this was an absolute tradition that we all had to live by when we were younger. If you didn't have a Collin the Caterpillar cake for your birthday then your mum and dad were doing something wrong. When you were the birthday girl or boy you ALWAYS had first dibs on which slice of this delicious cake you were going to have. If you used your brain then you would always opt for the face... that way you got more icing and chocolate!

11. Fab Ice Lollies

If we had to pick one ice lolly that was our favourite, then it would, of course, be the Fab. We can't deny that this is an absolute dream come true. The best part is the different layers that we had to make our way through whilst eating the ice lolly.

12. After Eights
