17-year-old Daniel LaPlante was obsessed with a teen named Tina in his hometown of Massachusetts - so he decided to sneak into her family home and hide in her wall cavity beside the bathroom. He would make weird noises, change TV channels and eat food from their kitchen. He eventually took the family hostage, but fled - only to return and be arrested.

3. But It Didn't End There: He Found Another Home While Out On Bail

After being arrested and then released on bail, LaPlante decided to find another family home to torment. He snuck inside and later raped and killed a mother who was pregnant at the time, as well as murdering her two children. He was arrested (again) and given three life sentences.
