To do this, create a mixture of hydrogen peroxide with the same amount of water. This will create a mouthwash. Just rinse around your mouth and dispose. Do not swallow. A rinse of this mixture will help to eliminate pain as well as inflammation, it can also treat bleeding gums and fight plaque.
Garlic

Take An Anti-Inflammatory

An anti-inflammatory such as Advil works great. It can not only reduce the swelling around and on the area but acts as a painkiller also. For this method to work you must continue taking it every four or five hours. I you don't take it consistantly the pain and swelling may return.
Peppermint Tea Bags

Although not one of the strongest methods, peppermint tea bags have light numbing traits that can ease discomfort for brief periods of time. It's advised that rather than applying it straight away, to wait until the tea bag has cooled down or is slightly warm.
Ice Pack/Cold Compress

This is one of the more simple and common methods, but can be very effective. Simply get an ice pack and rest on the cheek where the pain is. The cold from the ice pack will start to numb the area to ease pain from the affected area. Its recomended to wrap the ice pack in a washcloth to prevent ice burns.

Baking Soda

This method is simple to achieve. All you need to do is dampen a ball of cotton, and coat it in baking soda. Then just simply press the ball against the affected area to ease the pain. Furthermore you can mix the baking soda with warm water to create a solution to use as mouth wash.

You might realise you need this when the pain worsens when consuming cold foods, or foods that are too hot. Simply use sensitive toothpaste and overtime the tooth will build up a tolerance to such foods, easing the pain from the affected area. Why not give it a try?
Salt And Pepper Paste
