1. Sculpt a work of art

If you have a creative side, you'll probably squeal with excitement with THIS particular use of butter.  This is because you can awaken your inner artist and actually create beautiful sculptures out of this dairy goodness.  You just have to work out how to keep it from melting!

2. Revitalize your candles

Don't throw away any of your old candles just yet because you can use the butter in your kitchen to revitalize them!  Simply grab a firm stick of butter and rub it onto the surface of the wax.  You'll find that after a few minutes, the surface of your old candle will be restored to its former glossy self.

3. Swallow pills a little easier

If you struggle to swallow pills, you can actually use butter to help your medication to go down a little easier.  All you need to do is melt a little bit of butter slightly and then coat the surface of your pill with it.  Then when you take it with a gulp of water, it should slide right down!

Butter can also be used to treat dry hair, almost like you would use a traditional hair conditioner.  It can really leave your hair looking shinier and feeling softer than ever but don't overdo it because you can leave your hair looking greasy, especially if you're prone to having oily hair, and nobody wants that!

5. Got a ring stuck on your finger? No problem

It's so easy to get your ring stuck on your finger, especially if you never take it off.  Our hands swell for various reasons and this can cause our rings to become painfully stuck in place.  But try rubbing a generous amount of butter to your whole finger and ring and you'll have a better chance of removing it without having to get it cut off.

If you only use half an onion in your cooking or food preparation, you don't need to waste the other half!  Simply coat the exposed part of the onion in butter before you wrap it ready for the fridge and it will preserve your onion for much longer without it sprouting.

You can even prolong the life of your cheese using butter and prevent mold from growing on it, making it inedible.  And, like with onions, simply rub a little butter on to the exposed part of your cheese to create a seal.  This will help to preserve your delicious cheese for much longer than usual!

Creaky or squeaky doors can be infuriating but with a busy lifestyle, they're easy to forget about until you use actually them again.  So next time you go through that door, be sure to rub a little bit of butter on to its hinges to stop it from making that irritating creak noise!

Butter is a wonderful addition to any manicure, especially if you're prone to dry and brittle nails.  This is because it can actually strengthen your nails and moisturize the skin around them, including your cuticles, and make them look and feel completely nourished.

There is nothing worse than getting gum stuck in your hair, especially if it isn't even YOUR gum.  And short of cutting it off and giving yourself an uneven style, there doesn't feel like there are many options left to remove it.  But if you rub butter all over it and allow it to absorb, you'll probably find that the gum will slide right out.  It works on carpets too!

Butter is such a multipurpose product and if you run out of shaving foam, you can even substitute it for that!  And it really does give you a really close shave and helps to prevent that unwanted shaving rash.  It also leaves your skin feeling really smooth and moisturized.

Snow shoveling can be really time-consuming and strenuous and it's probably usually the last thing you want to do first thing in the morning.  But if you melt some butter and rub it onto your shovel, the butter will help it to glide through the snow more easily.

Condensation rings and watermarks on wood can be really unsightly and can ruin the aesthetic of your once-attractive furniture.  But the good news is that you can use butter to remove them or at least reduce their appearance!  All you need to do is apply a tablespoon of butter to the wood, let it absorb overnight, and simply wipe it off in the morning!

14. Relieve a nasty rash

Butter can also be used on the skin to relieve rashes.  Simply apply the butter to the skin like a cream and it will moisturize the skin and therefore strengthen it.  This might also relieve the redness and the itchiness that sometimes accompanies some unpleasant rashes.

Knotted necklaces are absolutely infuriating and can sometimes feel completely impossible to untangle.  But don't give up just yet because butter might just be your savior.  Simply apply the butter to the knot and then use a fork, or something similar to work it out.

Butter also makes a wonderful polish and you can make your leather shinier than ever.  Simply grab a cloth and apply a little butter to it, then just buff the leather until you can see your face in it.  This works for leather clothing and even leather boots, as well as other leather items you might have.

Sometimes, makeup can be tough to remove, and if you've run out of makeup remover, it's even tougher!  So if you're looking for an effective substitute, butter might just be the answer.  This is because its oiliness helps to remove makeup whilst moisturizing your skin.

If you've been chopping things with a strong and rather pungent odor, like fish, you might feel like the smell has remained on your hands long afterward.  But if you rub a little butter into your hands before you wash them as usual with soap and water, you'll find that the stink has gone.

Butter is amazing at soothing your cat's anxiety and experts advise cat-owners to rub a little butter on to their paws to acclimate them to a new environment, like when they are moving home.  This is because it makes them stay put while they lick the butter off their paws and therefore get used to their surroundings.

Butter is naturally oily and it's for this reason that it is magical against all things sticky.  You can remove sticky substances from your walls, furniture, your hair, clothing, and shoes.  Simply rub the butter into the substance, let it absorb and then it should slide away.

Dry hands are really common, especially during the Winter, and it can seem to age your hands really quickly.  But to keep them looking youthful, rub a little chunk of butter into them when you wake up in the morning and just before you go to bed and they'll feel softer than ever.

Dates, especially the Medjool kind, must be the stickiest food in the world.  And certain recipes require you to actually chop them!  But to prevent all of that sticky goodness from gluing itself to your knife, coat the blade in butter (be careful though!) and it will slide straight through them... Easy!

If you love to be out in nature, you might be familiar with returning home with a sticky substance on your hands.  This sticky substance is sap from trees and other plants and can be quite challenging to remove.  However, if you try rubbing it with a stick of butter, you'll find that the stickiness disappears!

Ghee is used in cooking and is just clarified butter.  You can therefore make it with the butter you're more familiar with.  Simply place the butter into a pan to melt it, when the whey floats to the top, skim it off the top and you're left with clarified butter when it turns clear.  Then just wait for it to brown!

25. Massage your feet

If your feet are tired and aching, butter can be really soothing to use as a kind of massage oil.  It allows the hands to glide over the feet easily and can feel heavenly for sore feet and leaves them feeling soft.  And it's even better if you can convince somebody else to massage them for you!

Adding a knob of butter to your coffee is believed to carry a number of health benefits.  This is because the butter, in theory, provides fat which is said to slow down digestion, and the caffeine in the coffee is then digested more slowly and provides longer-lasting energy.

You might have heard about applying steak to bruises but you might not have heard about applying butter to them!  Butter might be a good addition to a first aid kit as it has the same phosphates as steak and when applied to the skin, these have often been found to actually prevent bruising.

You can polish your cast iron items, including your pans, with butter and keep them looking shiny and as good as new.  Simply apply a little butter to a rag and wipe it onto the surface of your cast iron item after washing it.  It gives really effective results.

Butter may also help to reduce inflammation in the body.  This is because it contains a type of fat called butyrate that is said to help to improve the symptoms of inflammation and inflammatory health conditions, and it may also improve digestive health and contribute to healthy weight control.

Brownies are awesome, but sometimes, their gooeyness makes them almost impossible to divide up.  And when you do try, they often crumble (and ruin your day...).  So next time you're chopping up your brownies, coat your knife with butter and it will glide right through giving you perfectly delicious squares.
