1. Cushioned pedals
This kid wanted to ride his bike with bare feet...because why not? It's a typical request straight from the brain of a child. And, he's thought of a genius solution. A bread on each pedal will suffice - it's the right size and nice and squishy underfoot. Was it more difficult than just putting the shoes on? Of course. But that's from the boring perspective of a fully grown adult.
2. The height of laziness
It's super, super lazy. But at the same time, we kind of get it because it can be annoying holding your phone up when you're watching something because in about 5 seconds your arm starts to ache. And this kid has solved this solution in a very efficient way. An idea plucked straight from a kid's brilliant mind. Maybe we need to ask them to provide solutions for more problems.
3. Ingenious feet gloves
He didn't want to wear his shoes (there's a recurring theme here, what is it with children's aversion to shoes?). Yet, he realized that if he went outside without anything he'd have to wash his feet before he went in the house - washing, gross he was NOT about to take this option. Instead, he found some gloves that slipped straight over his feet and completely solved his issue.
4. He made his own superhero mask from cardboard
This really is creativity at its finest and if we all think back to our own creations at this age....they certainly didn't look like this. He took some old cardboard and some Sellotape and managed to fashion himself a very impressive superhero mask! It's better than the majority of us can do. Hats off (no pun intended) to this young and brilliant mind for his artistry!
5. She made her pet mouse a mini hat
Well is this not the cutest thing we've ever seen (whether you're a mouse lover or not)…this little girl loves her pet mouse so much she fashioned it its very own mini Christmas hat so that it could celebrate the festivities along with the rest of the family. Image source: Reddit
So this little girl used her mischievous brain and came up with a new version of 'my dog ate my homework'. Her version is, 'I couldn't do my homework because my cat slept on my desk'. And while it doesn't quite have the same finality to be used as an excuse, with the picture she attached as evidence I don't think anybody is about to tell off this girl because she certainly used her brilliant brain.
7. 'Everyone serves to be happy'
So this little boy was playing with his toys and he made a figure with a smiley face and when his mum asked him why, he answered 'because everyone deserves to be happy'. Did anyone else's heart melt? Why is it that kids just say and think the most wholesome things? If only we could capture that forever and allow them to keep such a pure and innocent mind and heart.
8. Don't beat around the bush...
Kids have an unfiltered sense of honesty, and as brutal as it can sometimes be, you've got to respect it. This young boy got straight to the point when he said very bluntly that his favorite part of the school day is leaving school. It's short and simple, brutally honest and genius. He's even demonstrated exactly how he leaves with a picture of a truck.
9. I made my own vegetarian dish!
This child proudly presented his 'vegetarian dish' to his mom. He'd decided he didn't want to eat animals and to make a statement and show he could be a veggie he decided to make his own meal. He's got two lots of fruit for the 'main' element, and then he even had a side/ sauce of canned peach chunks. He's covered all basis and definitely proved his point that he can be a veggie.
10. A rejuvenated tv remote
All we can say is why aren't all tv remotes this cool? So a child took the remote and clearly thought that it was a very boring-looking device - they've got a point. So all it needed was a complete glitter attack. Now it's bedazzled and we're pretty sure that now we've all seen this creation there's a demand there somewhere. The only problem is that it's a little bit difficult to locate the keys.
11. A 3-year-old made lunch for his mom
When we're told by a 3-year-old that they've made our lunch we're not thinking a gourmet meal. We're not even thinking of a gourmet meal made out of wooden blocks. But this genius child really did do a good job. They've made a very delicious-looking wooden meal so we can only imagine that his mom was pleasantly surprised (instead of grabbing random ingredients from cupboards and making a huge mess all over the floor).
12. A genius contraption
If only we were all this clever as children. This is not only genius for a child to come up with, it's genius in general. They've created a bike/grass mower. It's perfect. Instead of having to push around a heaving lawn mover, now you can ride your bike and do it with ease. This kid has some serious levels of intelligence. Where can we get one of these?
13. 'My little brother made me a birthday cake, 17+3'
A minion birthday cake. For once, a little brother baking us a birthday cake is the sweetest thing ever. Two, it looks good - more than edible. And, he's gone to the effort of icing it and covering it in minions...who couldn't love that. Then he used his creative genius to put the candles on. So he didn't have the number 20, never mind he's used his basic math and put 17+3 instead!
14. A great solution all round
This guy is one to watch for the future because there is a child genius. He's solved the two problems of standing up on public transport. The first issue is that it's easy to wobble or fall while the transport is moving, he's solved that he now has a safety buckle to the pole. And two it's tiring standing up! Now he can lean back and relax. It's pure genius.
15. Using the resources she has for her own outdoor pool
Pure genius. This little girl is enjoying a summer's day and has realized that it's not quite the same being in the garden without some kind of swimming pool. She's taken matters well and truly into her own hands and found the biggest bucket she can find. It's essentially the same as a pool right? Well, she looks happy enough with her own resourcefulness!
16. We'll make our own word game
When we see this picture we imagine our laptop having the keys pulled out and put ourselves in the shoes of the laptop owner. The picture of this little girl's face as she's been caught mid-destruction is priceless.
17. His very own 'theatre'
This kid's mom asked what he was doing with his head in a cardboard box and his phone on the top and he answered 'It's my home movie theatre'. He's right, it's dark in there and he can watch his phone in the peace and quiet of his cardboard box - sorry theatre room.
18. You've got to be in it to win it
How adorable is this? This little kid is not just watching the racing on the TV but he's taking part with his own toys. The way he's lined them up so accurately as he has seen on TV is genius. It's a very interactive way to engage with TV and it shows that little ones aren't just passively watching things they are using their genius minds to participate!
19. His very own Pokémon hat creation
This is super cute and also pure genius. This little boy has made his very own Pokémon hat out of his Pokémon collection and it's so good (and super neat)! We know it's a lot better than most of us could do, and this little guy is only 8 years old. If only we could unlock the never-ending scope of a kid's imagination. It seems to shrink as we get older!
20. This kid is too clever for the test
This kid is clearly a genius because they've thought way outside of the simple confines of the real question and done something way more complex. We can only hope that their score reflected their genius because this child did a lot more work than the majority to detangle each word and put each letter into alphabetical order! No wonder they didn't finish...it probably took a lot longer than the rest of the class.
21. An evil genius at work
This boy is on another level...he's a total evil genius. He knows the pain of stepping on a piece of Lego and he's used it to the best of his advantage. He's scattered pieces of Lego around him so that nobody can come near, or they'll experience the excruciating pain everyone's familiar with. This little guy wants the computer all to himself and he's used his genius brain to make it happen.
22. Thinking outside the box
This little girl has the cutest, purest mind. She doesn't care if it's an isosceles triangle she's naming these like they're her pets 'this one was meant to be an Olivia'. This is one of the cutest answers we've ever seen. But it's also genius. Yes, it's not what the question intended by any means, but she's still done exactly what the question asked even if it's not what they were looking for!
23. It's not quite the ocean but it will do

And when he dives into the depths of the public fountain who knows what he'll find...but it probably won't be sea life!
24. Mischievous genius
This boy has a great sense of humor and a very mischievous side. While the parents go to the electronic store to do a probably very boring adult job, he found his own entertainment! He's taken each of the iPads available to full the most hilarious face he can, over and over with the slightest of variation. This way, there's no escaping his face for each and every customer!
25. I got dressed all on my own
So when kids begin to attempt getting dressed all on their own it can be a funny expedition as they set out in the world of unusual fashion. This guy has found a much easier way to do it. Take a huge pair of pants and pull them up so that it covers my entire body and I can call myself dressed. You can see his thoughts - why don't adults do this too?
26. If the cats can do it...so can I
As we know, kids are like sponges and they learn from observing everything around them. So when she says her cats licking up the spilled milk for her all she's thinking is that if they can do it, why can't she? What's wrong with it - it must be good if my cats are doing it and drinking off the floor is way more fun anyway! It's just probably not the most hygienic method of drinking milk...
27. Yep, that's real money right there...
Now we can only hope that this little girl wasn't in too much trouble after completely destroying hundreds and hundreds of dollars with a pair of scissors. Because the intention was nothing of the sort, in her eyes she had some nice pink faces ready to be cut out and made into a much prettier picture than the one in front of her! We can only imagine the feeling of discovering what had happened...
28. Farting shoes, what more could a kid want
If there was a dream invention that a kid could make - it would be whoopie cushion shoes that make the iconic farting sound every time a person takes a step. This genius kid has created the product of dreams for other children out there. Instead of having to wait for an unaware participant to sit on it, just stand on it yourself and hear more farts... something kids never fail to be amused at.
29. If you don't want to eat your carrots, turn it into interior design
Part of the brilliance of a child's mind is the complete randomness they have. No adult could even try and think like a child to figure out the thought process here. All we know is he clearly achieved what he wanted to achieve! He's emptied an entire bag of carrots right around the kitchen, balancing them on door handles! He knows he's got a brilliant mind.
30. The finer things in life
There's definitely a sense of irony here. This kid is congratulating his mom for working super hard by presenting possibly the easiest meal in existence - a microwaved hotdog. But the thought is there and we can get a clear glimpse into what this kid was thinking 'Can we really have hotdogs for tea?'. The transparency of children is what makes them even more loveable.
