Katie Price’s Husband Lee Andrews Was Reportedly Jailed Just Weeks Before Marrying Her
Shortly before tying the knot with the former glamour model, Andrews had emerged from one of Dubai's most feared prisons, following a short but traumatic spell behind bars that insiders say left him shaken and desperate.
Katie Price's surprise wedding in Dubai appeared, on the surface, to be another whirlwind chapter in her well-documented personal life. But behind the glossy images and sudden vows lay a far darker recent history.

It has since come to light that just weeks before saying "I do," Price's new husband, Lee Andrews, had been released from custody in the emirate, having endured conditions that former inmates describe as extreme.
Andrews, 41, is understood to have been released in November 2025, only to strike up an online relationship with Price, 47, shortly afterwards. Their romance moved at pace, culminating in a marriage that reportedly stunned relatives.
At the time, little was known publicly about Andrews' immediate past — or what he had endured in the weeks before meeting Price. Sources now claim he had spent three weeks inside Dubai Central Prison after being arrested at his home in the emirate over allegations of obtaining money by deception.
The 41-year-old was reportedly held in an overcrowded "Amber" unit, sharing a vast cell with around 65 inmates, including violent offenders. Conditions inside the jail were described as brutal, with inmates forced to sleep on concrete floors and required to fund necessities themselves.
A British inmate who was incarcerated at the same time said Andrews arrived visibly distressed, claiming he was "terrified and extremely flustered" when he first entered the cell.
According to the source, Andrews initially had no mattress and slept on the freezing floor, using only towels for warmth, and relied on fellow prisoners for help.
The Brit alleged Andrews repeatedly asked other inmates for money, despite claiming to be wealthy. He said Andrews had nothing on his prison card and struggled to afford essentials such as soap, food, and drinking water, which prisoners must purchase themselves.
The source claimed he gave Andrews around 150 dirhams, approximately £30, for canteen supplies — money he said was never repaid. According to the inmate, Andrews frequently phoned people outside the prison. He revealed:
"He was phoning people on the outside, including his girlfriend at the time, but she was not helping him, and he had nothing."
The insider further claimed Andrews spoke at length about repairing that relationship once he was released, making his swift marriage to Price shortly afterwards all the more surprising.
"It is very odd that he has come out and married Katie Price so soon – and I can only assume he is after her money and she should be very careful indeed," the source said.

The Sun previously reported that a slew of Andrews' online claims were exposed, and that he had recently split from his former partners, Alana Percival and Crystal Janke, whom he was said to have dated simultaneously last year.
It was also claimed that Andrews allegedly took £123,000 from Janke, with police having investigated fraud allegations.
While in custody, Andrews was said to have largely kept to himself, aside from a brief altercation over improvised gym equipment. Prisoners were reportedly allowed limited exercise time, during which Andrews fashioned makeshift dumbbells from mop handles and water bottles.
A disagreement broke out when he refused to lend the equipment to another inmate, though the situation was quickly defused to avoid collective punishment.
The revelations surfaced amid further attention on Andrews following reports that he challenged Price's former husband, ex-cage fighter Alex Reid, to an MMA bout.

Reid, 50, later addressed the suggestion, saying that while he once fought "anyone, anywhere," experience had taught him the value of restraint, warning of the serious and lasting consequences of combat sports.
Separately, Price drew fresh attention on social media after sharing a photograph on Instagram on January 1, 2026, posing closely with another man outdoors.

In the image, she rested her head on his shoulder while smiling at the camera, prompting amused speculation from netizens. One comment read, "I thought she was with Luke Littler for a minute," accompanied by a laughing emoji.
For now, Price has remained publicly silent on the claims surrounding her husband's past — revelations that add a darker, more complex edge to what had appeared to be a fairy-tale wedding abroad.
As we previously reported, Price's whirlwind romance took another dramatic turn — and this time, it came with rose petals, a designer dress, and no legal weight whatsoever.
The former glamour model appeared to tie the knot with Dubai-based Lee Andrews in a lavish beachside ceremony at the One and Only Royal Mirage — a £600-a-night five-star hotel perched on the Palm Jumeirah.
But despite the opulent setting, the vows, and the champagne toasts, the ceremony reportedly had no legal standing, as it was just a symbolic wedding.
The celebrant, Darryl Rees — a part-time DJ and MC originally from Swansea — confirmed that no legal documents were signed. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Rees said:
"I'm a showman. You have to go to court to have it legalised."

He revealed that he had been conducting these types of ceremonies for five years across Dubai's most exotic locations, often for British couples who either handle the legal paperwork beforehand in the UK or sort it afterwards in the UAE.
As for Price and Andrews, it's still unclear whether the pair formalised their union after the staged ceremony. However, their speed to the altar has raised eyebrows.

Just days before she declared her engagement, Price had reportedly broken things off with reality star JJ Slater, 32. By Sunday, she was exchanging vows with Andrews, following a Friday engagement announcement on Instagram.
The news left her family stunned — so much so that, according to reports, they were considering staging an intervention. As for the wedding in question, photos showed Price wearing a revealing cut-out dress, towering heels, and flaunting a large diamond ring.
The couple posed in the hotel's immaculate gardens, surrounded by rose petals and the shores of the Persian Gulf. They reportedly exchanged vows read from an iPad before toasting with glasses of champagne and posing for solo and couple shots.

Despite the glamour, the speed and setting of the ceremony led many to question the authenticity of it all. While Rees insisted the pair seemed "madly in love," saying, "They were both looking into each other's eyes the whole time [...] just transfixed," the underlying facts tell a more calculated story.
Rees admitted he was only contacted the day before the ceremony. "They got engaged on the Friday and two days later, I'm standing in front of them, marrying the couple," he said.

He also acknowledged that the pair mentioned possibly legalising the wedding the following Monday, though whether that ever happened remains unknown.
Fortunately, Dubai wedding expert Rhiannon Downie-Hurst offered clarity on the nature of symbolic ceremonies in the region. The founder of Bride Club ME explained that recent legal reforms allow residents and tourists to marry through civil courts.

However, the process requires documentation, identity checks, and approvals. Spontaneous legal weddings are rare. Commenting on Price's wedding, Downie-Hurst stated:
"From an industry expert perspective, what was publicly visible appeared to follow the format of a symbolic wedding celebration, which is extremely common in Dubai."
That distinction between real and symbolic wasn't lost on the public — and many weren't buying the fairy tale. "The quickie engagement with a big ring and followed by a quickie wedding that isn't even legal, so Katie Price you are legally not married 💩 [sic]," one person shared.
Another typed, "There marriage wasn't legally binding the ceremony was performed by a DJ who does it on the side if they want it legal the have to go to a justice of the peace either in Dubai or the uk [sic]."
Scepticism continued to mount. "No chance they were married in the short time they claim, there is a 28 days wait while the notice to marry is put out before you get the clearance!" commented one. Another claimed, "You can cancel the wedding after a few days. So you're officially not married."
Some saw more than just romance behind the ceremony. "I think it's a business arrangement between the two of them to do with money the marriage us a cover [sic]," wrote one commenter. Another simply stated, "Shock horror."
The flurry of public reaction seemed to mirror the event itself — flashy, fast-moving, and wrapped in spectacle. As it stands, without court documents or any legal confirmation, it remains unclear whether Katie Price and her new man are legally husband and wife.

They may be smitten — or they may be strategic. Either way, in the eyes of the law, this wedding remains more theatre than matrimony.
