Meghan Markle's recent Easter content featuring her children has set off a firestorm of debate — not just among royal watchers, but on live television, where one host delivered a verdict that stopped the conversation cold.

The footage making the rounds comes from "Triggered with Samara Gill" host Samara Gill, who appeared on Sky News alongside host Andrew Bolt to discuss King Charles III's upcoming US state visit — and whether the King would make any arrangements to see his son Prince Harry during his stay.

Andrew noted that reports suggest Charles has made no such plans — then pivoted to Meghan, pointedly remarking that the woman who "fled" the UK "demanding privacy" for her children had just posted them publicly on Easter.
That observation opened the door for Samara, and she walked straight through it.

"This isn't a candid family moment she was sharing; this was a really private family moment which she seems to be sharing more and more of," Samara said. Then came the line that lit up comment sections across social media.
"She is shifting her PR strategy towards the girl, because that is much more marketable in the future. Lilibet is getting all the camera time on her Instagram, and I think that's craven and sick."
The clip spread fast — and online, viewers weren't shy about weighing in. "Harry goes on interviews and talks about the dangers of social media and protecting children from it, yet his wife constantly posts about his children 😢," one commenter lamented.
"Using their children for PR," another said bluntly.

The frustration wasn't limited to pointed observations. Some went straight for the jugular.

Samara's remarks come after the Duchess shared a sweet Easter carousel on Instagram, but fans couldn't stop buzzing about what they noticed in the clips — from mismatched outfits to bare feet and familiar angles.

The Duchess of Sussex rang in the holiday with a warm carousel of clips captioned simply, "Happy Easter!"
The post opened with a grounding, farm-life moment: Meghan hand-feeding her backyard chickens a generous bunch of freshly harvested kale and leafy greens.

A copper pot brimming with spinach, spring onions, and what appears to be Swiss chard sat nearby — a glimpse into the Sussex homestead that felt almost deliberately homespun. The chickens, one a silvery-grey and another a striking white with a vivid red comb, pressed in eagerly.

A nest of freshly laid eggs — brown, pale pink, and a soft sage green — followed, a quietly charming Easter detail.

Archie and Lilibet come tearing across a sweeping, manicured lawn, darting toward a cluster of trees in what appears to be a garden Easter egg hunt.

Archie is dressed for a cooler day: dark navy zip-up sweatshirt, black trousers, and lace-up sneakers. Beside him, Lilibet races ahead in a bright pink floral sundress, bunny ears perched in her hair, clutching a white plastic bucket — and completely barefoot.

It was this contrast that caught viewers off guard almost immediately.
"One kid is dressed like it's cold out the other is dressed like a warm day?" one fan questioned in disbelief. Another quipped with barely concealed amusement, "Maybe it was a hairbrush and shoes Easter hunt! 🤣🤣🤣"

Her pink floral dress catches the soft afternoon light as she pads across the stone, unhurried and serene.
Hot on her heels is the family's black Labrador, trotting faithfully behind her across the bridge. It's undeniably sweet — but eagle-eyed commenters had already clocked details they couldn't let go.

"It's odd that 'Archie' wears long trousers, a sweatshirt and shoes. 'Lili' almost always wears summer clothes, has uncombed hair and is barefoot," one viewer observed pointedly. "There's never any interaction between the kids either. It's as if the kids were filmed separately and then edited together. 🤔"

Others kept it blunter. "Hair still a mess😮," someone remarked, while another netizen asked, "Has she no shoes?"
The barefoot detail struck a particular nerve with some. "Look at her feet! What's wrong with them? Why is she barefoot? Why is this mother so careless about her child's health? 🤯😡😡," one commenter raged, their concern spilling into outright frustration.

The absence of face-on footage — a Sussex staple — drew its own chorus. "Oh great another back of their heads photo. Just stop!" one follower vented.
The post closed on a crafty note: a close-up of small hands carefully decorating an Easter egg using what appears to be a Dinomazing Egg Decorator kit — a spinning device that lets kids draw striped patterns with markers.

Purple and orange swirls were already taking shape. Colourful cups of dye, scattered markers, and a cheerful mess of a table completed the scene.
Still, the commentary kept coming. "The boy in the video with his dad skiing is much older than this boy here!" one person pressed, referencing a separate video Meghan had posted days earlier, showing Archie hitting the slopes alongside Harry. "Strange his sister is always barefoot!"
But it was the apparent absence of other children in the Sussex children's lives that moved some commenters to something closer to sorrow.
"Poor kids, never seem to have any friends. 😢," one viewer lamented mournfully. "What a sad scene! No friends, no cousins, no family!" another cried out.

The sentiment echoed widely.
"This actually seems sad to me. Those children have no friends, grandparents, cousins or anyone to play with. George Charlotte and Louis are much better off with loads of family on both sides surrounding them," one commenter declared pointedly, drawing a sharp contrast with the Wales children's more visible family network.

This isn't the first time Lilibet has captured attention — and people's hearts — online. On Valentine's Day, Meghan posted a golden-hour image of Prince Harry holding a beaming Lilibet on their lawn in an intimate moment.
A bunch of bold red balloons could be seen tied to her hand, as well as palm trees silhouetted against the dusky sky. Meghan captioned the post warmly, writing, "These two + Archie = my forever Valentines ❤️."
More recently, her International Women's Day post showed the doting mum herself seated on coastal rocks with Lilibet tucked under her arm, both facing the open ocean.
The caption read simply, "For the woman she will one day be... Happy International Women's Day."
The pair clearly share a close, easy bond, and Meghan has never shied from celebrating her daughter's free-spirited energy — bare feet and all.
