British TV Presenter Scarlett Moffatt Amazes Fans with Dramatic Transformation — Inside Her Weight-Loss Journey

Scarlett Moffatt has wowed fans with her latest Instagram post, sparking a wave of disbelief and compliments. Scroll down for a look at her remarkable transformation journey over the years.

She stepped in front of the camera looking so different that even longtime followers did a double-take — and the comments section practically exploded.

Scarlett Moffatt, the beloved former "Gogglebox" star who first captured the nation's hearts in 2014, has sent fans into a frenzy with a recent Instagram post showcasing a striking new look.

The 35-year-old north-east lass appeared head-to-toe in black: a black long-sleeved mini dress layered with a ruched satin overlay, sheer black tights, and pointed-toe stiletto heels — topped off with a freshly cut fringe framing her long, dark, wavy hair.

She captioned the post — waiting for you at the end — with characteristic self-deprecating humour:

"Got a fringe, will probably regret it in a week 🤣"

But it was her figure that truly stopped the scroll. Fans flooded the comments with disbelief and adoration.

"You look amazing. How have you lost so much weight? X," one fan wrote. "You have lost so much weight you look incredible & love ur outfit too you have no airs & graces you are just you & that's what people love X [sic]," another gushed.

Others were equally floored. "Looks lovely… didn't recognise you at first xx," an admirer commented, while another swooned, "Those marvellous legs! Very envious ❤️."

The enthusiasm kept coming. "Hot 🔥 Hot 🔥 Hot 🔥 my sister xxxxxx," one follower cheered. "Wow, you look absolutely amazing 🤩," another beamed. "Oh my goodness you look INCREDIBLE!!!! X," another exclaimed.

Fellow celebrities weighed in as well, with Ashley Roberts dropping three fire emojis and Vito Coppola simply commenting, "Yessss."

But Mofatt's road to this moment has been anything but straightforward. Back in 2016, she shed an astonishing three stone — dropping from a size 18 to a size 8 and weighing just eight stone — and released a workout DVD titled "Scarlett's Superslim Me Plan".

At the time, she publicly credited a 1,200-calorie diet paired with the exercise routines. The truth, which she later came clean about, was rather more gruelling: she had actually attended a Swiss bootcamp where she trained for up to six hours daily on just 700 calories.

It was a punishing regime that left her wrestling with serious body image issues for years afterward — and she ultimately admitted to deliberately regaining weight to discourage fans from purchasing the fitness plan.

The turning point that first set her on the path to change, as she revealed during a "This Morning" appearance in early 2017 where she was promoting her DVD, was a visit to her doctor after feeling persistently exhausted, sluggish, and plagued by back pain.

The verdict was sobering: she was classified as obese. That wake-up call proved to be the catalyst she needed.

Her resilience around body image was put to the test again in 2022, when she fronted a Channel 4 documentary investigating a surge in sudden-onset Tourette's cases among young people — a subject close to her heart, having developed facial tics herself just before her teenage years.

Filming wasn't without its challenges. "I got called 'fat', 'Miss Piggy' and 'old' while people were tic-ing, but it's also really serious," she admitted, adding that she had to "grow a thick skin" during production.

Nearly a decade on from that first dramatic weight loss, Mofatt's approach couldn't be more different — or more grounded. Speaking to OK! Magazine in October, she revealed that compliments had been coming from all directions, yet she was quick to set the record straight.

"Honestly, I've not lost any weight! I don't know if it's just because I'm happy, my cortisol levels are down and I'm not as bloated," she explained, adding with a laugh that she felt like she was "cheating" accepting the kind words.

Her real secret? Therapy. "I started therapy at the beginning of the year and I honestly think if you look after the mind, everything else just falls into place," she told Closer magazine.

She also credited her two-year-old son Jude as a powerful motivator, saying time with him brings her genuine joy — and that doing more of what she loves has kept her mentally well.

Mofatt, who has since gone on to win "I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!" and appear on Ant & Dec's "Saturday Night Takeaway", now says she's a size 16 — and, by all appearances, the happiest she has ever been.
