‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Ellen Pompeo Steps Out with Her Husband and Three Kids for Rare Family Appearance at World Series 2025

It was a star-studded showdown at the sports event — but all eyes were on one very unexpected MVP: Ellen Pompeo's impossibly photogenic loved ones.

Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery brought their whole family to watch the World Series. Their three kids — daughters Sienna, 11, and Stella, 16, as well as son Eli, 8 — attracted most of the attention online, with many debating whether they resembled their mother or father.

The "Grey's Anatomy" star was photographed alongside her husband and children as they made a rare family appearance together for Game 5 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium.

Ellen looked relaxed and stylish in a billowy striped button-down shirt over baggy jeans, wrapping her arms around her younger daughter and son as they posed for photos.

The family coordinated in laid-back, sporty outfits, with Chris, Eli, and Sienna donning Los Angeles Dodgers hats — a clear sign of who they were cheering for as the team faced off against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fans couldn't get enough of the sweet family moment, flooding social media with comments and admiration for Ellen and her rarely seen brood.

One fan playfully observed, "None of her kids look like her." Another person added with sympathy, "Poor Ellen her kids look nothing like her," while someone else disagreed, laughing, "Hahaha they all look so much like mama!"

Others zoomed in on one of the kids, with one gushing, "Her oldest has her whole face!" and another agreeing, “The oldest kid looks so much like Ellen, wow!”

Of course, not everyone saw it the same way — a fan insisted, "The boy is copy paste [sic] the father," and someone else shared, "They all look like their dad to me. What a beautiful family they've made."

Many simply admired the wholesome moment, penning, "Gorgeous Elllen [sic] Pompeo and her family. An icon for sure. 🙌” and noting, "So cute they are."

Others pointed out, "Their kids are so big now 😩 adorable." One cheeky user even wrote, "And they got delt with! Love to see it. Great family pic though." And to wrap it all up, a fan praised Ellen's look, "She looks sooooo cute tbh i love that little fit [sic]."

Back in April, Ellen received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and celebrated the milestone surrounded by family. She was joined by Chris Ivery and two of their three kids — Stella and Eli — for the special occasion.

In photos from the ceremony, the actress was seen standing proudly between her children, with an arm around each of them as Chris leaned in, beaming with pride.

In January 2024, Ellen brought her daughter Stella as her date to the 2023 Emmy Awards, marking another heartwarming mother-daughter moment. The actress shared a sweet video on Instagram before they headed to the ceremony, showing the two laughing and embracing as they got ready together.

Ellen was all smiles in a striking silver shirt that revealed her bra underneath, paired with a black necktie, a flowing black silk maxi skirt, and diamond stud earrings. Stella complemented her mom's chic look in a sleek black strapless jumpsuit, making the duo one of the standout pairs of the night.

"Thank you again, to everyone that made this happen yesterday! We had the best night 👯‍♀️," Ellen penned in her Instagram caption.

When her daughters were still under 7, Ellen shared that she looked to strong women around the world to help set a positive example for them. The mother of three emphasized the importance of celebrating the achievements of African American women and making sure her girls grew up seeing their success.

She explained, "My daughters are black so it's very important to me that they see a lot of images of beautiful, powerful, strong black women."

The 55-year-old added, "Every time there is a black woman on a magazine cover, whether it is Kerry Washington or whoever it is, I make sure that magazine is in my house and on my table." She noted how meaningful it was for her daughters to grow up surrounded by such representation.

Ellen Pompeo is also leading by example as a hardworking woman in the entertainment industry, something she hopes will inspire her daughters. Earlier this year, she revealed that Stella has already watched her in "Grey's Anatomy," while Sienna hasn't yet.

Although Sienna has expressed interest, Ellen joked that she feels her younger daughter is still too young to see her in her "underwear."

With her usual sense of humor, the actress added that some of Sienna's classmates have already seen her on the show, but she's not judging their parents for allowing it — even if she personally feels Sienna isn't quite ready to watch just yet.
