The Monster of Hook Island

The Dancing Epidemic

Between the 14th and 17th centuries, a dancing mania broke out between the people of Strasbourg, which meant that around 400 people randomly broke out into dances. The dancing caused heart attacks and deaths, suggested to be caused by a mass psychogenic illness, but nobody knows for certain.

The Gold Country Can

Image Source/ The GuardianIn 2013, a can was found to be filled with over 1,400 gold coins. Nobody knew whose treasure it was, and it was coincidentally found in Gold Country, California. In today's currency, the coins are valued over $10m. However, the U.S. Mint said they had no record of the coins.
