1. The magnificent Lancaster Room

The Lancaster Room is the first room in Clarence House which has a grand fireplace in the centre and looks over the beautiful garden. This room has hardly been changed over the years and still features an assortment of antiques and trinkets from around the world.

If you thought The Lancaster Room was lavishly decorated, check out the entrance! The attention to detail in Clarence House is immaculate, with royal art work covering the walls and antiques being carefully placed in between velvet chairs and plush sofas.

You won’t be surprised that the royal residence has a grand library which features oak wooden cabinets filled to the brim with books dating back centuries. We can only imagine how much this collection is worth but it definitely won’t be on sale any time soon!

This is the original staircase in Clarence House which features dark wooden structures and plush red carpet. The walls have been decorated with portraits encased in gold frames, with bright lights leading the way to the next floor of the royal residence.

7. The dining room where King Charles entertains his guests

The grand dining room is where King Charles enjoys his evening meal each night alongside his wife, The Queen Consort. This is also where they host events and dinner parties, with enough room to seat as many guests as they please to celebrate special occasions.

Directly opposite The Lancaster Room is The Morning Room which is one of the most exquisite rooms in the house, tastefully decorated in cool hues of blue with matching furniture and curtains. This was the setting for the official photographs taken for Prince George’s christening.

9. Yet another drawing room!

If one drawing room wasn’t enough…welcome to The Garden Room. This was created by merging two separate rooms which were once used by Princess Margaret when she was growing up. It has four windows which all look over the gorgeous garden, hence the name.

Not many houses are fortunate to have their own library, but this isn’t just any old house…it is Grade l listed property which has been home to several members of the royal family. This is why even the library needs its own reception room which is just as beautiful as the rest of the house.

11. This hallway is a vision of pink

They certainly weren’t afraid of bright colours when they designed this hallway…from the carpets to the wallpaper, every inch has been covered in pink! Just like the rest of the house, it has been carefully decorated with precious antiques and beautiful artwork.

The Morning Room which has always been one of the most popular rooms for members of the royal family. The dainty furniture sits perfectly behind the ceiling length window which lets in a flood of natural light catching the gold detailing throughout the room.

This is another image from The Garden Room which exhibits a grand tapestry that hangs on the back wall. This is “The Massacre of the Mamelikes” which dates back to the 17th-century and was a gift from Emperor Napoleon III to Queen Victoria during her reign.

Although Clarence House may be considered old-fashioned as most of the furniture and ornaments date back centuries, everything is in such pristine condition and the soft lighting creates a cosy atmosphere throughout the property...we wouldn’t mind spending a cold Winter's evening here.

15. This is where King Charles does his work

This is King Charles’ grand wooden desk where he carries out his royal duties. It is also home to a collection of his favourite books including “Reflections and Recollections” by HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah. There is also a marble statue of the 2nd Viscount Melbourne sitting behind the desk.

16. Every detail has been moulded with care

As we have seen in the images so far, every inch of Clarence House has been immaculately decorated with close attention to detail. Even the ceilings have beautifully moulded designs, just like this one in The Morning Room which features the royal crown.

This image was taken at the entrance of the reception room to the library, which features an intimate round table with two chairs. Above this table hangs a spectacular chandelier which lights up the room and creates an intricate pattern on the ceiling.

This room neighbours the famous Morning Room, which carries on a similar colour theme with duck egg blue walls and a beautifully designed rug to compliment the decoration. An impressive display of painting hang from the ceiling held together with gold rope.

Alongside the magnificent art works and antique ornaments featured in the Morning Room, this corner is dedicated to personal photographs of the royal family over the years. At the forefront we can see a framed picture of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.

20. The memorial in the gardens to The Queen Mother

Although Clarence House is now the residence of King Charles and The Queen Consort, it was previously the home of The Queen Mother from 1953 to 2002. This image shows the memorial in the gardens to The Queen Mother, which is in a cross shape with a sundial at the centre.

The Morning Room is the symbol of elegance, no matter what angle you look at it from. The intricate detail in every corner of the room comes together to create a vision of beauty and warmth, from the fabric cushions positioned on the chairs to the fresh flowers placed on the table.

22. King Charles with the Italian Prime Minister

Many famous faces have passed through this royal residence. This image was taken in The Morning Room when the Italian Prime Minister, Guiseppe Conte, came to visit Clarence House. This was taken before the Prince of Wales became King after his mother sadly passed away earlier this year.

We can only imagine the lavish Christmas decorations here at Clarence House each year, but here we catch a glimpse of the grand Christmas tree which stands just in front of the grand wooden staircase. It has been beautifully decorated, lighting up the hallway.

The beautiful gardens at Clarence House are considered a highlight of the property which have been well-kept over the years. At one point in time, members of the public were able to access these gardens but it will not be open to visitors for the remainder of the year.
