Nicole Kidman Shows Off Her ‘Divorce Glow’ in New Photoshoot
In a storm of sculptural gowns and unshakable poise, one of Hollywood's most enduring stars has sparked buzz just days after confirming her high-profile divorce.
Nicole Kidman appears in the November 2025 issue of Vogue, where she stuns in a series of high-fashion portraits and offers rare insight into her thoughts on aging, power, and identity. The editorial, released just after her split from musician Keith Urban was announced, has sent shockwaves online, with netizens torn over her appearance.

For the cover story, Kidman wears several jaw-dropping ensembles, each one bold and unapologetic.
One standout look photographed against a deep blue backdrop features a brown-mustard silk Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello full-length gown with a wide crinoline that bubbles out below the hips. In a video, her hair and the fabric of the dress can be seen in motion, thanks to a fan.
In another striking photo, she dons a lime-green creation by Maison Margiela, complete with a mock-neck collar and a heavily ruffled bodice extending across her shoulders and chest.
Two towering silk panels shoot outward from below her chest, evoking the drama of two gown trains. Behind her, a vibrant yellow background intensifies the theatrical look.
Perhaps the most classic image shows her in a one-shoulder velvet gown in burgundy, the fabric draped elegantly across her body.
In contrast to earlier images with flowing locks, here Kidman wears her hair pulled back tight, channeling pure Old Hollywood glamour. The striking photos had fans dissecting every detail of her appearance.
Vogue Magazine's comment sections exploded following the release of this editorial, with opinions split between admiration and alarm.
"What has she done to her face?!" one netizen demanded. Another asked, "Did she have some plastic surgery? Why she looks different, or I am wrong [sic]?"
Some were blunt in their disappointment. "So sad her face is all plastic now. She did reign supreme back in 2004 👏 but beauty fades not even Botox can save you !" one commenter claimed.
But others were enchanted by her transformation.
"Her face is young again. She must have done something 😍," one person shared. Another wrote, "Botox, implants and multiple procedure so what, she can afford it and she is looking gorgeous [sic]. ❤️"
Yet another netizen chimed in, "She got her face back. Looks amazing."
And then came the speculation that this wasn't just a fashion shoot; it was a statement. "Now this is REVENGE!" one person exclaimed. Another simply declared, "The divorce glow yo [sic]."
But beneath the glossy photos and bold gowns, the interview seemingly had a quiet hint that her marriage was unraveling.
Although the interview was conducted in August, it was released just days after her divorce was announced. Writer Wendell Steavenson believes that even then, Kidman gave her a subtle clue that something in her relationship with Urban had shifted.
Instead of prying, she inquired about how the actress felt being in her 50s. "How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn't going in that direction?" Kidman replied ruefully.
This answer and her summer suggested a woman already stepping into a new chapter, on her own terms.
Despite any personal issues, Nicole Kidman hardly spent her summer in solitude.
Professionally, she embraced her growing control as a producer, filming "Scarpetta" in Nashville. In July and August, she joined Sandra Bullock in London to begin work on "Practical Magic 2."

The two families enjoyed concerts and festivals, turning work into something that looked far more like joy. Afterward, they traveled through Portugal and Greece with Kidman's sister and her children.
