People Are Buzzing Over Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Latest Appearance — Their Relationship Timeline

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 35, and his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, 58, made a rare joint appearance at Paris Fashion Week this week, stepping out in signature style for the Saint Laurent Men's Fall/Winter 2026 show.

But while the couple turned heads with their chic ensembles, it was their frosty body language and Aaron's tense expression that really had people talking.

Spotted outside their hotel on Tuesday night, 27 January, the couple looked every bit the polished power duo — but made a quick dash for their car as cameras flashed.

Sam embraced her usual edgy glamour, rocking a shiny emerald belted coat, sheer black tights, and sharp pointed heels. Oversized sunglasses and minimalist jewellery finished the look — along with a storm of online speculation.

Beside her, Aaron cut a dramatic figure in a long, dark brown leather coat layered over a crisp white shirt and burgundy striped tie. Tailored black trousers and gleaming dress shoes gave the outfit structure, while a glimpse of his wristwatch added a refined final touch.

But it was a now-viral video of their exit that set the internet ablaze. In the clip, Aaron appears rigid, tight-lipped, and visibly on edge as he guides Sam toward their waiting vehicle, one hand firmly clasping hers.

And the comments? Brutal.

"Why is she wearing glasses at night?" one person asked. "To cover the wrinkles," another snapped back. A third added, "She has work done, she looks better than ten years ago."

Others zeroed in on Aaron's carefully composed demeanor in the clip. "He makes sure he does his hand-in-his-pocket pose at all times [sic]," one eagle-eyed viewer wrote. "Why is he acting like her security guard?" another questioned.

But one fan defended the actor, writing, "So let him go. He proved he loves her the way he is and being very protective to her and keep his private life quietly [sic]."

Despite the public whispers, the couple's bond runs deep. Their relationship began in 2008, when Sam — freshly divorced and juggling life changes — was casting her John Lennon biopic, "Nowhere Boy." Aaron was just 19, filming "Kick-Ass," and only available for a single day — the very day Sam had said she couldn't do.

"You have to," her casting director insisted. And that was that.

"Honestly," Sam later recalled, "I opened the door to Lennon." She was taken by how deeply Aaron had already sunk into the role. "I knew instantly — I could see how much research he'd done already just by the way he was standing and the few words he said."

Aaron won the part. By the time the film premiered in 2009, the pair were already engaged.

The 23-year age gap between them? Never a concern. "I knew instantly with Sam that I'd found my soulmate," Aaron once said. "A year to the day [after] I met her I proposed. I knew I wanted a family with her, I knew I wanted kids, and a month later she was pregnant."

Ahead of their first child's arrival, Aaron spoke candidly about his excitement for fatherhood. "I've got a wonderful woman," he told PEOPLE at the time. "She's lovely and she's a fantastic mother."

"It's not scary, I'm already a stepdad to [Sam's kids Angelica and Jessie with ex-husband Jay Jopling] anyway. So the nerves have sort of gone," he added.

In July 2010, they welcomed daughter Wylda Rae, followed by Romy Hero in 2012. That same year, they married — both taking each other's surnames.

"I just don't see why women need to take the man's name," Aaron explained in an interview following the nuptials. "I wanted to be a part of her just as much as she wanted to be part of me."

The film star also slipped into the father role effortlessly. "He's happy not working and being at home with the kids while I work," Sam told The Guardian in 2015. "We're actually fighting over it. He's like, 'No no, I like being an at-home dad, doing the cooking and the school runs.'"

Over the years, the fiercely private pair have kept their professional plates full while maintaining a love story that thrives just beyond the glare of the spotlight.
