We all remember this viral trend…using a waist trainer to achieve an hourglass body shape like one of the Kardashians, which involves wearing a corset-like bodice for several hours each day. Not only are they uncomfortable, squeezing your body isn’t good for your internal organs either.

This dangerous regime went viral on Tik-Tok when a model posted a video showing her followers how to apply different SPF factor suncream to different parts of her face to achieve a contoured look…but this puts you at risk of burning in the areas where you have applied lower protection, which could damage your skin.
3. Injecting yourself with botox

Based on how expensive botox injections can be at a clinic, you can see why people might be tempted to buy it online and have a go themselves…but this can be very dangerous as you don’t know what you could be injecting into your body and it should only be done by a trained professional.
4. Using glue to remove blackheads

We can only imagine how painful it must be to use glue to remove blackheads…not to mention the fact it can actually clog up your pores and make your skin worse! We definitely would not recommend this beauty regime and think you’d be better off sticking to trusted products.

Can you believe people have actually started using deodorant as a face primer before applying make-up? Madness! Deodorant was not designed for our face and could lead to clogged pores. Furthermore, the fragrance used in the products could irritate and inflame our skin.

Although we can see the logic behind this idea, we definitely don’t recommend using cleaning sponges to remove fake tan. These sponges are designed to remove tough stains around the house, meaning they are too harsh for our skin and sometimes contain chemicals that could be harmful.

These patches are worn overnight to constrict the muscles in your face and limit movement to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. However, they can be harmful by clogging up pores or causing irritation. There is also a risk of pulling off skin when removing them.

Although some people have had positive results from chemical peels, as you can tell by the name of this beauty treatment there are risks involved with soaking your face in chemicals. Some possible side effects are redness, swelling, discolouration and even infection.

Setting spray is used after applying make-up to keep it in place for longer, but some beauty vloggers have suggested using hairspray as a cheaper option. Dermatologists have advised to avoid this idea as hairspray contains a high alcohol content which could dry out your skin.
