Undisclosed Evidence From Jeffrey Dahmer’s Trial

And it was down to a few polaroids which had been casually left around his apartment which was the final straw in his arrest.

But he managed with force to breakaway and find police who escorted him to the apartment to check. And slightly dubious officers then glimpsed the polaroid's and knew something was wrong and made the arrest.

3. His first charge

He was first taken in by police around a decade before he began on his killing spree.  He was charged with two accounts of fondling himself in front of two underage boys who were 12 at the time.

4. Second charge

So, he had to visit his parole officer. This was just immediately prior to his killing spree and so during this time he was murdering people.

5. His double hernia

He revealed one incident where he was in hospital as a child with a double hernial. But after this, his son became convinced his genitals had been removed during the operation and that he had in fact been castrated.

6. Butchering genitals

Image source/ globoHis father goes as far to wonder whether this obsession from a young age about being castrated led on to his fascination with his victim's genitals. There were multiple instances where Dahmer would cut off his victim's genitals and keep them, preserving them permanently.

7. Abandonment

Image source/ you.ppepAnother significant issue of his past was that his parents were not often there. He did not get much attention of a loving family who were very present. They were often away and left Jeffrey and his brother to their own devices. Which, his father believes may have contributed to his later crimes and feels partly responsible for how things turned out.

8. His mother's mental health issues

Image source/ Business InsiderAlso revealed in his father's book was that his mother struggles with metal health issues and there was a time where the family had to deal with her being off her anti-anxiety medication in which family life was quite unstable. Again, he believes this was another traumatic point which also had a part to play.

9. Fascinated with a pile of dead bones at 4 years old

Image source/ RedditBut regardless Jeffrey Dahmer was displaying highly unusual qualities at just the age of four years old. For example, he found a pile of bones in the garden belonging to a dead animal. He was fascinated by it, and this triggered his fascination for bones and death.

10. 9th grade science dissection

There was a pig dissection in his science class, which he loved. He was very excited by it and kept the bones after he had performed the dissection.

11. The start of more...

Some sources claim he also began killing live animals including people's pets neighbours and putting their heads on sticks.

12. People sensed a darkness about him when he was young

In fact, it was so strong that he would only hang around with him when he was with others because of this disturbing feeling which kept him at a distance from peers.

14. His first victim

Even after his first murder he had a narrow escape. Officers stopped him when he was disposing of Hick's body, but he claims he was simply taking out the trash.

Image source/ timetoastJeffrey Dahmer joined the military briefly after this. And Preston Davis claimed that he would get drunk and start boasting about how he murdered a man. He also revealed that Dahmer raped him. He was soon dismissed from the army due to alcohol abuse.

16. Massive police mistakes

For example, Konerak Sinthasomphone managed to escape after having been drugged and having a hole drilled through his skull. He ran out naked into the street for help. Officers believe Dahmer and actually escorted him back to the house.

17. They didn't believe him

And, when they kept insisting that they should persevere and look into it more, Dahmer warned them that he would then call the police against them instead

There just wasn't anything there." They even testified to the two of them having a caring relationship Half an hour later Dahmer killed him.

Image source/ wordpressIt's always a question that people ask criminals - why did they do it? And for Jeffrey Dahmer, he revealed it was to do with arousal and excitement. He was aroused by dead bodies and bodies that had been dismembered, rather than simply an inclination to kill.

20. Holes drilled while the bodies were alive

Image source/ TumblrHe did not immediately kill his victims as we know. He put them through torture due to enjoying experimenting with them. He would drill a hole into the skull just so that it was big enough to create a passage into their brain, where he would inject hydrochloric acid.

21. Zombified sex slaves

As we know he enjoyed the victim being incapacitates and he also enjoyed performing sexual acts on the victims when they were in this state, as well as when they were dead.

After brutally murdering, dissecting and performing sexual acts he would also participate in acts of cannibalism - eating the flesh of his victims. 23. Keeping their remains

There were three partial torsos found in a tub of acid, there was a full torso, several skulls, two hearts, multiple genitalia, several different kinds of organs and random body parts which he had preserved and kept.

Now, when she has been questioned about her stepson, she revealed that she feels no guilt because she was not a part of what happened. 25. Fan mail

It has been brought to media attention in recent programmes that some people strike up relationships with prisoners. People tried in this case also despite the fact they were contacting a murdering monster.

26. A group of cannibals

This was a sick twist on McDonald's products to refer to Dahmer's cannibalism as though they were Dahmer's snacks. This group were fans of Jeffrey Dahmer who came together to show allegiance to the killer.

27. His death

Image source/ trendradarsDahmer was killed due to his lack of repentance by a fellow prisoner who claimed that Dahmer had taunted prisoners, made cannibalistic symbols and shaped his food into limbs whilst squirting ketchup as though it was blood. When he confessed to Christopher Scarver, he killed him by bludgeoning him to death.

28. Killing 17 people

Then, whilst he was performing necrophiliac acts he would capture it all on photographs and take pictures in various states - of which were retrieved as evidence by the police.

30. He was highly logical and calm

However, when he had his medical evaluation for his trial, he was found perfectly sane. And the whole time he was highly calm and logical which made his acts seem even more unnerving.
