Eye Opening Photos Taken At Coachella

1. The Spectra Tower

Image Source: The Press Enterprise A shot of one of the iconic constructions at Coachella, the Spectra tower - here shown at dusk - is a great example of how many amazing architectural pieces there actually are at Coachella alongside the music performances. And especially at night when the stunning colours like this can come out.

2. The Mutts Art Installation

And it's not just LED structures, either. This art installation shows just how much work goes into some of the stunning art pieces dotted around the valley, and becomes all part of the experience. This 'Mutts' art installation shows a gigantic dog made out of grass.

3. LED Capes Are Normality

The evening is where this festival really comes alive, and you'd expect an LED show or two, but this is something else. This just goes to show the lengths festival-goers go to when dressing for the occasion, as this LED butterfly poses near the Circular Dimensions x Microscape installation.

4. How About An Entire Playground?

Whether it's to get a better view of your favourite performance artist, do a few rounds of chin-ups or just hang out with your friends, Coachella provides actual climbing frames and playgrounds for concert-goers to let loose. And it's even better when it's bright and pastel colours!

5. The Crowd Will Get Sprayed With Water

On any other day, this might be an inconvenience, but when you're melting at a packed festival, this has to be a great way to cool down - except if it washes off your carefully-applied festival makeup, of course. This image shows just what it's like to be sprayed with a water mister at the festival.

6. The 'Cocoon' Art Installation

And the art installations just get better and better in terms of what you can see when you're simply walking around the festival grounds. This epic white structure is labelled as the 'Cocoon', an art installation for the 2022 Coachella. At least they're big enough so that you wouldn't accidentally walk into them.

7. The Incredible Light-Up Display At Night

This photo throws into sharp relief just how incredible it is to be at this festival at night. Not only do you have the amazing art installations to observe during the day, but you can then enjoy the same structures - or in this case, this playground - being illuminated at night. Stunning!

8. Just Casual Hula Hoop Displays

Walking through the festival, it's not just amazing art installations or climbing frames you might spot. You'll also get entertaining displays from the people on the ground, too. Here you can see a Coachella attendee putting on a pretty awesome hula hoop display.

9. How About A Ball Pit?

Just when you think the festival couldn't get any better, how about throwing an epic purple ball pit in the mix? This photo shows that there's so much to see and do inside the ground tents away from the main stages, too, so it's clearly one massive playground for adults.

10. The Fun Even Starts In The Parking Lot

You might have thought the fun doesn't begin until you get into the main site and walk amongst the art installations, but you'd be wrong. There's a game called Sticks and Blocks - also known as Koup, the Viking game - that concert goers play in the camping and parking area of the festival!

11. And Drinking Games Are A Thing, Too

You might be surprised that concert-goers go so 'old-school' at such an amazing festival with plenty to see and do, but drinking games are applicable any day, any time. Here concert goers play old-fashioned drinking games in the camping area - the same place to check out Sticks and Blocks!

12. Concert-Goers Create Their Own Art

Who knew simple silhouettes and shadows could look so stunning? Especially when festival goers aren't even doing anything spectacular other than just vibing. The LED light displays showcase how everything can look even more amazing just by people stood infront of it.

13. There Might Be More Room Than You Think

You'd think so close to one of the stages it would be so packed, and that's certainly what a lot of the pictures portray. But this photo shows there's actually room to swing around one of your mates - with room to spare, too! These guys are creating their own fun while listening to Emo Nite.

14. The 'La Guardiana' Statue

Every corner of the festival you're gonna stumble across a new art construction or sculpture, and it seems there's no end to them at the festival. Not only do you have modern structures and LED light shows, you also have statues like this that offer something completely different.

15. Did You Know You Can Get Your Nails Done?

Not only can you get all your nails painted whilst at the festival in a dedicated nail bar, it's all free and part of the experience, too! So you don't have to worry about chipping your carefully applied polish for the festival. The artist here is even using Harry Styles' nail brand, Pleasing.

16. Tops Taken Off Is A Norm

Speaking of Harry Styles... How about this marriage proposal? The festival weather is so warm it makes sense to strip yourself of your top, use some simple boob coverings and decorate your body instead of your clothes! But this is the kind of posing you can expect when wandering the grounds - and we're here for it.

17. The Amount Of Security

You'd expect Coachella to have quite a bit of security, but this photo just shows how much you can expect. A big chunk of security here walk together across the polo field in the valley festival, and it's also a reminder how hot they must be in those black clothes and hats!

18. You Can Expect Hula Hoop Dancing To Occur
A Lot

Of course you'd expect dancing in the crowds at the festival, as well as some wild outfits, but you may see a lot of hula hoop dancing, too. It's also a great way to ensure enough space around you if you're whirling one of these bad boys around your waist! Way to set up your personal space.

19. This Is What It's Like To Watch A DJ Set

Ever wondered what it'd be like to watch a DJ set in one of the tents at the festival? This photo shows a Diplo set as he performs a surprise set on the Do Lab stage. By the looks of it festival goers can gather around every side of him, including behind, and the atmosphere in there must be epic!

20. Expect Crazy Outfits

One thing you can be certain to see when attending this festival is a variety of eye-catching and legendary outfits - and not even from the artists, but from the festival goers themselves. This is just one example, with full face balaclava, pink jacket and iconic pink shades.

21. It's The Perfect Workout Spot, Too

You should also expect to see people working out in the festival grounds - after all, when you're spending so long there and you're doing a lot of standing, dancing and sitting, you may also need to get a regular stretch routine in, too. Especially when it's the perfect spot to workout with that view!

22. Did You Know It Provides Hammocks To Chill Out On, Too?

All that dancing and vibing is exhausting, after all. You could, of course, sleep on the grass or in your own tent, but why not try and bag one of these hammocks instead? This area provides hammocks to concert goers so they can take a well-earned break.

23. Fire Eater, Anyone?

You'd think as a festival goer you're spoiled enough by the epic music talent, sculptures, art displays and LED shows. But that's not even the end of it - you can also see fire dancers performing on stage, here shown on the Do Lab stage.

24. The Perfect Mix Of Outdoor And Indoor Performances

The one thing you can count on if you attend this festival is the perfect mix of indoor or outdoor performances, so you can always find something you can enjoy. Here you can see what it's like to listen to music at night at the Outdoor Theatre - and it looks spectacular!

25. Festival-Goers Can Desperately Try Find Shade, Too

It's all fun and games until it gets simply too hot and you need a breather. Where are you supposed to go if you can't get to the indoor tents or facilities? Well, you've gotta find whatever shade you can, like these folks who found the perfect shade under the camping hub sign. Improvise, adapt, overcome!

26. The Bird's Eye View

This aerial shot throws into sharp relief the desert valley location. It also may come as a surprise how well spread out it actually is - it doesn't look as though people are too tightly packed together, and there's enough room to spread out, enjoy different attractions and find room to breathe!

27. A Performance By Doja Cat

If you're wondering what it's actually like to watch your favourite artist at Coachella - and what you can expect from them in terms of performance, design, costumes and vibes - then this photo of Doja Cat sums it up. The biggest act come together to put on a phenomenal show.

28. The Performer's Need To Fight Against The Heat, Too

It's bad enough being a festival goer trying to dance and stay hydrated in the heat, but those putting on a show have it far worse. Here's the singer of the Viagra Boys, Sebastian Murphy, with his own method of trying to cool down in the desert heat.

29. Expect To See A Lot Of People Taking A Lot of Selfies

And a lot of them will probably be in the same iconic spots, too. Taking a selfie infront of the ferris wheel while wearing a flower crown and showing off the glittering gems on your face is an absolute must-do when it comes to this festival. So expect to be a cameo in a lot of other people's photos, too.

30. There Are Mosh Pits, Too

You may not have actually known this about Coachella, and of course it depends on the genre of music performing, but mosh pits can easily become a thing for the dancing festivalgoers if the vibe is right. It wouldn't take much to work the crowd into a mosh pit frenzy.
