1. White Mountain Office

Image Source/ eOfficeThe offices of Bahnhof, a Swedish internet service provider, used to be a bomb shelter. Now, it is known as one of the most amazing office spaces in the world. It looks like they took some serious inspiration from Batman's underground cave... It's located 100 feet underneath Stockholm and is around 4,000 sqft in size. They have indoor greenhouses with simulated daylight and a huge fish tank.

2. Selgas Cano

Home to an architecture firm in Madrid, this office is the most unique design you will ever see. It is half-submerged into the ground and has one long glass window that also extends to half of the ceiling. It's very minimalist, but there has been serious thought put into this. The office gets more than enough daylight, and doesn't need air con in the Summer as the ground is insulated against heat. You arrive at work via wooden walkways and at night, the office is lit with ceiling lanterns.

3. Bark

Bark is a pet supplies company and has given itself the title of 'world's most dog friendly office'. They aren't wrong! 50 dogs roam throughout the office every day! Their desk chairs or more appropriately named lounge chairs are even made out of a wipeable fabric so dogs and humans can sit together. Outside, they have a doggy playground so the furry friends can exercise!

4. Google

This list wouldn't be complete without Google. It is well known for its amazing office spaces all over the world. In Tel Aviv, its headquarters come with a large gym overlooking the city, cable car booths used for meetings, sleeping pods and themed boardrooms. Every area is designed to represent Israel's diverse demographic.

5. Pallotta Teamworks

Clive Wilkinson was the designer for Pallotta Teamworks Offices, and he won an award for his work. He transformed a warehouse into an efficient, low cost working environment. They used shipping containers and tents to create workspaces. There are narrow 'streets' that connect different departments which makes it feel like you're walking round a futuristic city. There is a focal point called 'executive tower' which is a three storey high tower of shipping container offices.

6. Inventionland Design Factory

Home to Davison Design and Development and named "home to the largest invention factory in the word". Employees are called 'Creationeers' and wear white lab coats while at work. They have fully-equipped workshops that allow their creations to come to life. They even have different themed spaces, from pirate ships and race tracks, to a castle and a giant robot.

7. Comvert

Comvert, an alternative clothing company base in Milan, has used an old abandoned cinema for their home. The building is so big they have their offices, warehouse AND shop all in the same location. Apparently, the ceilings are so high that they have even managed to install an indoor skate bowl!

8. JoyTunes

JoyTunes is a mobile app that teaches you how to play the piano. The focal point in their Tel Aviv headquarters is a large stage under a huge skylight used for performances and impromptu jam sessions. Plants are scattered throughout the offices along with soft tones furnishings.

9. Gusto

The warehouse in San Franciso that houses Gusto dates all the way back to the 19th century. This company have kept an industrial theme for their office, including lifts and cranes. Their employees even painted a mural on one wall. We can't forget the underfloor heating - what a bonus!

10. Ogilvy & Mather

Global advertising firm consolidated all their offices into one large hub in Jakarta not long ago. The idea was to create a seamless working environment. The headquarters has a large central location for meetings and then private sleep pods and smaller boardrooms. No room is enclosed, instead they have glass or half walled partitions. It's very contemporary with its lounge chairs and luxury furniture.

11. Missing Link

Missing Link is a South African presentation firm and finally came up with an alternative to the classic 'office slide' everyone seems to love so much. The people working here can use a fireman's pole to go downstairs! Potentially more dangerous? Not only that, they have an on site shooting range and tattoo studio. Maybe the health and safety rules are different in South Africa...

12. Trend Micro

Trend Micro is a cybersecurity company based in Cairo. It's a former University theatre that is Ancient Egypt themed across all its three floors. There is even a small museum on one of the floors! It's also home to lots of greenery which gives it a very cosy vibe. We bet this is a pretty inspiring place to work!

13. Saatchi & Saatchi

The theme for this space is action! When designing their Bangkok offices, they wanted their employees to be excited to come to the office everyday, so they set to work creating a unique and fun environment. There are rooms full of bicycles, and vibrant decor and furniture. Plenty of places to relax and hold meetings.

14. Dropbox

Dropbox offices in San Francisco were re-designed not too long ago. They focussed on bringing a light and airy environment to their workspace. They brought in open working spaces and lounge areas. They notoriously have a 'treehouse' meeting space when you can gather. Not to forget the in house kitchen serving everything from breakfast pastries to full meals.

15. Airbnb

Airbnb takes inspiration from "belonging anywhere" and they used this as the theme for their San Francisco offices. There are many workspace options within the building depending on what suits, but they focus on sharing economy and all working today, so the workers feel like they 'belong anywhere'.

16. Menlo Park

Menlo Park in California is home to Facebook. There has been some serious thought put into these offices. The open plan workplace setting is hoping to promote collaboration and frictionless working, but they also wanted some balance for moments when people wanted to hide away. So there are a number of smaller spaces that are more enclosed. Not only that, they promote self-expression more than any other workplace I've heard of. One example is the in-house artist residency program that encourages employees to create their own art.

17. Urban Outfitters

Located in Philadelphia, the home of clothing company Urban Outfitters has overtaken a shipyard for their headquarters. It's a full campus that consolidates the six previous office buildings they were spread across downtown. The campus includes coffee shops, library and a fitness centre.

18. Mindvalley

Mindvalley took inspiration for their offices from the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. They use natural light and coloured glass to create a kaleidoscope effect as the sun moves across the sky. They are big on wellness, so expect a gym, hypnotherapy rooms and pods designed for a quick power nap.

I'm sure you can image any Lego headquarters and what they might look like. The Danish office is just one example of how it should be every kids dream to work for Lego. It has a colourful, open plan office to work in, with every room off of it complete with an abundance of Lego for you to play with!

20. Zynga

Zynga is a social games provider working out of San Francisco. The headquarters is dog friendly and very vibrantly decorated. They have neon-lit tunnels and big neon arrows so you can find your way around. They have various food stations plus a gaming arcade which you can use when you're not working.

21. Corus Quay

Corus Quay in Canada is home to Corus Entertainment, a media and entertainment group. It's a waterfront office that is big on being eco-friendly. It features a five storey green wall and uses recycled materials and also recycled rain water. They even have an indoor slide which screams ultimate cool office! It is three storeys high and drops you right in the centre of the Atrium.

22. Innocent

The UK feels like it's lacking in quirky office spaces, but drinks company Innocent have taken one for the team. Their offices bring the outside in with natural grass carpeting and fruit towers for their staff to snack on. I've also heard their LinkedIn page is something special, so their great working environment must be paying off.

23. Spencer Ogden

If you saw the offices of Spencer Ogden, you wouldn't expect them to be energy recruitment specialists. They have been in the media hailed as one of the coolest office spaces in Singapore. It features astroturf flooring and America-style diners, plus leisure facilities. You can play foosball on your lunch break or cycle round the office to keep energised while you work.

24. SapientNitro

Another example of bringing the outdoors in, this time in Singapore. SapientNitro is a marketing and consulting agency and it's headquarters have two outdoor garden terraces for all workers to enjoy. Not only that, they have got the decor of the inside office spot on, with fun additions like foosball and comfy lounge furniture.

25. ANZ Centre

ANZ Centre in Melbourne, Australia, won awards for its office space! They gave transparency and accessibility new meaning. Home to a banking firm, they have a huge open plan layout consisting of smaller 'hubs' dedicated to specific tasks. They also have a healthy balance of 'play' and 'create'.

26. Digital Luxury Group

The offices of Digital Luxury Group have been deliberately designed to not feel like an office. They have made it so there is no reception space, in order to promote flexibility. In theory, the space should feel relaxing but aid concentration. They even have floating lights that look like clouds!

27. Slack

Inspired by the Southern California coastline, Slack has a very quirky and individual office design. The lobby is like a base camp, with tents you can cuddle up in. It goes all the way up in different themes to the ninth floor which is all glass to create a glacier theme. All employees are encouraged to explore the different areas on the breaks.

28. Vital Proteins

Located in Chicago's West Loop, Vital Proteins makes collagen-supplements and has used California as inspiration when designing their offices. It has white brick, beachwood and a very light and airy colour scheme. It's quite the contrast during the cold Chicago winters. There is a huge feature staircase in the centre of the building that is also used as a break area, with an in-house barista located under the stairs.

29. White Balance

White Balance designed their headquarters as one space, with no visual obstruction. They achieved this by removing all partitions from the former warehouse. It's got glass offices but has stuck with an industrial theme, using scrap pipes as light fixtures and brick arched windows.

30. The Wing

In New York City, it's rare for one company to have a whole building for their office. But The Wing occupies a huge Manhattan building for their headquarters, from which they run women's co-working spaces. A lot of their co-working spaces are designed with similar features, like the orb lights and conference rooms named after famous women.
