1. Firenado

Made up of a mix of flames and ash these occur when intense heat and turbulent wind meet. Run if you see one, as they can also suck in nearby debris similar to a Tornado.

Classed as a once in a lifetime experience, the world-famous Aurora Lights are visible from several countries across the globe including Iceland, Scotland, and Russia. This natural wonder is the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind.

Crabeater Seals from Antarctica have evolved a sieve-like tooth structure and have the most specialised teeth in the carnivore world. This allows them to swim through swarms of krill and filter out the tiny crustaceans from seawater like a sieve. Easy work!

You'll be lucky to spot one of these out on the open sea. The rare Albino Humpback Whale has an all white appearance, the most well known is Migaloo who was first spotted swimming off the coast off Byron Bay in Australia in 1991 and is the only known all-white humpback whale.

The baby kangaroo, called a joey, spends about 235 days in the womb and the mother can actually determine the sex of their child. If required, they can even pause the birth when environmental factors are likely to diminish the chance of the young surviving.

Check out the Tasmanian giant crab, which is one of the largest crabs in the world. They can weigh in at a whopping 17.6kg and have a diet that consists of gastropods and starfish. Cannibalism is also known to occur within the species, , its a crab eat crab world out there!

Bismuth is a chemical element and is 86% as dense as lead. Discovered in ancient times, the crystals were long considered to be the element that had the highest atomic mass whose nuclei do not spontaneously decay. However, it was later discovered to be extremely weakly radioactive.

Hench! Known for their greatly enlarged pectoral fins. The butterfly fish are known to walk along sandy sea floors while looking for food. They have heavy, protective scales and the undersides of their huge pectoral fins are brightly coloured, perhaps to fend off predators.
