Yes, I'm afraid you read that totally right. And this is exactly what we mean. This has to make the stupidest death in history. This guy really had intercourse with a horse (so this is actually legal in Washington!?) and DIED from it just a few hours later because the horse perforated his colon...

We all know someone that plays way too many video games. But who knew you could really die from it? This man from South Korea did, when he started a 50-hour stretch of nonstop video gaming, only stopping to go to the toilet, he dropped down dead from exhaustion, his heart could not cope anymore!

3. A man died after not wearing a helmet to an anti-helmet rally

If you needed another definition of irony...this would be it. This motorbike racer was performing at an anti-helmet rally where he was supporting the right to choose not to wear a helmet. But, tragically and very ironically, he died after crashing and hitting his head which was helmetless.

4. Trying out a self-made neck fixing device which acted as a noose

This man died after essentially hanging himself in a self made noose which he had built to 'fix' his wife's neck pain. He refused to take her to the doctor, claiming he could fix it. He built a device with wood and rope and tested it out himself, not wanting to hurt her more. But he ended up hanging himself accidentally.

5. A fraudulent cremation letter which shocked a man to death

Imagine opening the post one morning and finding a receipt for your own cremation. It would certainly shock you. This poor guy was so shocked it literally gave him a heart attack and killed him. The strangest thing of all, is he ended up at the same cremation site with the same serial number as he had received on the fake receipt. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Okay, so most of us probably would not need this advice. Kissing a lake sounds like an extremely stupid thing to do. A Chinese Poet called Li Bai from the middle ages died after drowning when he leant forward to try and kiss the reflection of the mood in the lake. After leaning in to kiss it, he fell in and never came out again...

7. Dying from a wee holding competition

This sounds just as stupid as it was. A 28 year old girl took part in a competition where the contestants were given half a pint of water every quarter of an hour, and to win the competition they had to hold their bladder and not have a wee. This woman came second in the competition and just hours later died from an intake of too much water.

We all know not to eat too much dessert, but it's not often you hear of killing yourself from too much dessert in just ONE sitting. The king of Sweden Adolf Frederick died after helping himself to 14 portions of cream pudding in one go. His body couldn't handle it and it literally gave up on him.

This woman learned the hard way that having sexual intercourse with animals is wrong on every level. And it turns out that she was allergic to the semen of dogs. Which, ended up killing her. Now this hands down has to be one of the stupidest ways to go...

10. Having s*x on a HIGHWAY

In what world does this sound like it would ever be a good idea? Nope...none. This couple clearly couldn't wait and they pulled over to the side of the highway at 6am in Brazil, in the FOG...and decided to do the deed. But a lorry didn't see the couple and drove into them killing them both.

11. Kids throwing furniture from the 27th floor...trying to squash the 'ants'

This really is a tragically stupid story. Two young and unsupervised kids were playing out of the window (already cause for alarm) throwing furniture out of the window. At first the items were small, until they started to try and squish the tiny ants (which were unknowingly people) below using big furniture like chairs. It really did hit one person who sadly died.

12. Testing the absolute limits of the strength of window glass

One man was desperate to prove that he had unbreakable windows. He lived at the very top of his building. He was showing his friend just how much his windows could handle by running from a distance right into the glass. At first, nothing happened. On the second try he flew right through the window. The glass did not break, but it left the window pane completely whole.

13. Buried alive in elephant feces

This zoo keeper was tending to his elephant who had been suffering from digestive issues and hadn't been able to go to the toilet. So, he fed it some laxatives and waited. But, when they started to work the zookeeper was way too close and he was literally buried alive in elephant feces. He drowned in 120 kilos of poo...

14. Trying to fight a lion and, of course, losing

One word: WHY? A Kung Fu master from Australia clearly thought his skills would match up to a lion - a natural predator and wild hunting machine - there's definitely some logic missing here. And, completely unsurprisingly the lion won the battle...and the man died!

15. Consuming wine...through his BUTT

A Texan man had a throat injury which made consuming alcohol painful. Instead of just not drinking alcohol, his wife came up with another idea. Making a wine enema - consuming it through attaching a plug into the butt and pouring in the wine. The couple had done this a few time, and this particular time he requested it again. But, he had too much and passed out. While he was passed out, the wine kept flowing into his body and he died from alcohol poisoning.

16. Too much Viagra

One man had been propositioned by two women for an entire night of 'entertainment'. He clearly didn't think the recommended dose of Viagra would suffice and instead consumed the ENTIRE bottle. His heart rate went through the roof ad he ended up dying from a heart attack.

17. One man was hit by a plane doing an emergency landing

This man was walking along the beach when an aeroplane landed right in top of him. he was one of a few people on a very ling and quite beach. You'd have thought he'd have heard the plane coming, however his music was far too loud and so he was completely unaware of his impending doom.

Two men from Canada were on a very drunken weekend together when they very stupidly decided that it would be a good idea to steal a private jet. Not long after, the two of them lost control of the plane and flew right into some power lines killing the both of them, and electrocuting themselves.

19. A homemade bungee jump is as stupid as it sounds!

A very misguided young man tried to create his own bungee jump, using homemade material which included TAPE. Now most people could already see the impending problem. This man, cut everything to size, taped it and tied it altogether and jumped right off the bridge to test it. Of course, the bungee broke immediately and the man sadly died as a result.

20. A terrorist received his own letter bomb

A terrorist sent out a letter bomb. Only, the letter thankfully was never received by anyone and he had left the return to sender address on so it was sent straight back to him in the post. So, when he opened his own post - the bomb went off and killed him instantly!

21. Heating up a lava lamp

Lava lamps were a craze of the past - or so they apparently should be. One man had bought a brand new lava lamp and was clearly too excited to make it work and put it on the oven to heat it up. Not a good idea. The whole thing exploded and a huge shard of glass pierced his heart, killing him.

22. Trying to lie under a train

There are things as humans we should never try...but alcohol has been clouding the judgement of humans from the age of time. And these two men had been watching a football match, fuelled with beer they decided to lie underneath the tracks of a train. Whether it started as a joke we will never know. The train came sooner than expected and flatted the pair of them.

23. Having s*x on a roof

Here's another demonstration of how getting frisky in the wring location can be deadly. this couple decided to try a roof as a different location. But in the morning their bodies were found on the road with their clothes folded neatly on the roof. They had fallen together mid-deed, to their death.

24. A chimney sweep made with a hand grenade

Marko from Croatia was cleaning his chimney out. He wanted to attach a weigh to the bottom of the brush, to help clean it when he lowered it from the top of the roof. But, the weight was a hand grenade. And when the grenade came into contact with heat it exploded and fired Marko from the roof.

25. Framing his neighbour for stabbing him

A drunken man found one of his bottles of alcohol gone and jumped to the conclusion that his neighbour had taken it. And so, he angrily confronted his neighbour who denied it. He wanted to take his vengeance to another extreme and frame him for stabbing him. He stabbed himself once and did not make enough impact so stabbed himself again, piercing his ventricle and killing himself in the process.

This is definitely a tragic case. A journalist from Britain was attempting to shed light on the problem of homelessness. He wanted to create a film. So, to do this he went homeless to sleep on the streets and interact with other people in this situation. But, he tragically ended up freezing to death. His attempt for attention on such an important topic had been achieved, but at the cost of his life.

27. The guy who insisted on smoking despite being allergic

His smoking allergy resulted in sore patches all over his skin every time he smoked, so he was prescribed as strong cream which he was told was flammable. So, to make things worse he started to smoke again - WITH the cream on his skin - and burst into flames!

28. Russian Roulette without the chance

The entire point of Russian roulette is that is may be fatal, and it may not be. This guy inserted a bullet into a semi-automatic pistol rather than a revolver. This means that the bullet automatically moves into place...so the chances of death were 100%.

29. Tight walking along a rooftop pool

Why people feel the need to test their abilities in such dangerous ways is beyond us. But one man in Florida decided to walk along the side of the ROOFTOP pool. He survived, so he decided to test his balance on the rooftop railing instead. He slipped and ended up falling...fatally.

30. A fool proof burglar catcher

A man in Brazil owned a workshop which was regularly broken into by thieves. Upset with this happening, he decided to make his own trap to catch burglars when they crossed over into his threshold. However, he ended up getting stuck in his own trap and the trap killed him!

31. The Army General Who Got Too Cocky

A general during the American Civil War got very cocky indeed when he declared to his troops that the enemy didn't have a chance of hitting them. He walked out into the enemy's range of heavy fire and - unsurprisingly - got shot by a sniper which hit him in the head.

32. The King Of Sweden Ate Himself To Death

We all know that kings in history have been known for overindulgence - and when you can afford a load of food, you're obviously going to eat it. The King of Sweden, Adolf Frederick, from the 1700s was a particular glutton - and ate so much food, that he ate himself to death.

A Danish astronomer invited to a fancy banquet was convinced it would too rude to excuse himself during dinner to go to the bathroom - so he ended up holding in his full bladder, which is believed to have burst and caused his death.

34. The Man Who Shot Himself By Accident - Defending A Murder Suspect

A lawyer in 1871 working hard to prove that a murder suspect could have easily shot himself by accident did exactly that: and he proved it by fatally shooting himself in court, by accident. He fired the murder weapon, which was still loaded, and killed himself.

A man named Steininger went down in history for having a very long beard - which would ultimately cause his death. The beard, which measured a whopping 4.5 feet, caught fire when a fire broke out in the man's home, and it ended up burning the man to death! Always pin your hair back, guys.

Back in the 1800s, a man decided to make a very hefty alarm clock using a timer, a wire and a ten-pound stone. Unfortunately, the man got drunk and moved his bed into a different position... right under the stone which crushed his head in the morning.

Most people would say this is one of the best ways to go if you're going to go - and if you're a particular party animal. But for one man sentenced to die in the Tower of London in the late 1400s, he wanted to go out in style - and requested he die by drowning in claret wine.

This has got to be one of the most tragic deaths - during a live play broadcast in the 1950s, an actor who was playing somebody suffering a heart attack actually had one on stage. And the other actors, who of course thought he was pretending, continued the performance around him.

When one 57-year-old woman was minding her own business in Florida, she was leaped at by an eagle ray that had jumped out of the water. The impact caused her to die from traumatic brain injury, and the ray also died from the impact as well. The force was enough to knock her to the ground.
