Evan Miller from Alabama was 14 years old when he and a 16-year-old boy decided to beat their neighbor with a baseball bat. They had gotten into a fight while the neighbor was drunk, and after beating him, Miller and his friend stole $350 and the neighbor's baseball card collection before setting his trailer on fire, resulting in the man's death.

Alaska: Winona Fletcher, 14. Shot Three People

Winona Fletcher was a young 14-year-old girl who, along with her boyfriend, decided to break into the home of three elderly people in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1985 and murder them. Fletcher and her boyfriend were in the middle of a burglary spree when they broke into the home, and it was a 69 year old man, his 70 year old wife and her 76 year old sister who paid the price.

Arizona: Christian Romero, 8. Shot His Father

Back in 2008, a young boy of only 8 years old named Christian Romero not only became the youngest killer in Arizona, but the whole of America, when he decided to shoot his father, and his father's friend. He used a .22 caliber hunting rifle to kill his 29-year-old father and his father's 39-year-old friend.

Arkansas: Damond Sanford, 16. Robbed, Raped & Murdered A Woman

A 16-year-old from Arkansas named Damond Sanford became the youngest ever person to be sentenced on death row in the state, when he robbed, raped and murdered an 85-year-old woman. He was found guilty, and then sentenced to death by lethal injection. His death sentence came at the age of 17.

California: Joseph Hall, 10. Shot His Father In The Head

The father of Joseph Hall was known to be the leader of a neo-Nazi organization in their community. His son, only 10 years old at the time, snuck downstairs at 4 in the morning when his father was asleep on the couch. He then proceeded to shoot him in the head with a .357 magnum revolver. It was believed that Joseph could also have been abused by his father.

Colorado: Anton Woode, 11. Shot A Man

Anton Woode was only 11 years old when he was put behind bars at Colorado State Penitentiary. He had been convicted of second-degree murder, after he'd shot a businessman from Denver in the back during a rabbit hunt. After he'd shot the man, Woode then robbed him of his gold watch and shotgun.

Connecticut: Harold Meade, 22. Bludgeoned 3 People To Death

Not only was Harold Meade a murderer at the age of 22, but it was also suspected he was a serial killer who went on to commit more crimes, but never formally charged with more murders. His first murders were in 1970, when he bludgeoned three mentally disabled people to death. He later died of an illness in prison.

Delaware: The Route 40 Killer, 34. This State's Only Known Murderer

Steven Brian Pennell, also known as The Route 40 Killer, was not only the youngest killer in Delaware, he was the only known killer to ever be in this state. He was 34 years old when he was executed for his crimes via lethal injection. Pennell had been convicted of murdering two women, and suspected of killing more, after abducting victims from Route 40.

Florida: Lionel Tate, 12. Killed A 6 Year Old

12-year-old Lionel Tate's mother was babysitting a six-year-old named Tiffany Eunick in their home in Florida when she went upstairs, leaving Tate and Eunick playing downstairs. Tate later came upstairs to tell his mother that Eunick was not breathing after they had been play wrestling. But the truth was more terrifying: Tate had actually stomped on Eunick, resulting in liver damage, a fractured skull and rib, and a swollen brain.

Georgia: Wayne Williams, 23. Child Murderer

Wayne Bertram Williams was convicted of the murder of two men in Atlanta, Georgia, but is also suspected of being a serial killer responsible for at least 24 of the Atlanta Child murders that happened between 1979 and 1981. He was 23 years old when he first became a suspect for the murders.

Hawaii: Eugene Barrett, 20. Murdered 3 Women

Eugene Walter Barrett was a convicted American serial killer operating in Hawaii, responsible for the deaths of three woman from 1959 to 1995. He had been dating each woman before murdering them. He was the very first serial killer confirmed in Hawaii, while the only other two were the Honolulu Strangler and Kauai serial killer, who were never identified.

He became a convicted serial killer and child molester, ending up on death row, following the kidnapping and murders of the Groene family. He also confessed to murdering two other girls.

It was believed he started the fire in a mobile home that killed two adults and three children. The 9 year old was charged with arson, aggravated arson and 5 counts of murder.

Paul Henry Gingerich was only 12 years old when he decided to help his friend, Colt Lundy, murder his stepfather in Indiana. Lundy was 15 years old at the time. Both Gingerich and Lundy had fired two shots each into Phil Danner, stole his wallet and handgun, and then tried to flee across the country before being stopped by police officers in Illinois.

Iowa: Kristina Fetters, 14. Killed Her Great Aunt

Kristina Joy Fetters was only 14 years old when she murdered her 73-year-old great aunt, and was the youngest ever woman in the state to be given a life sentence. Fetters had escaped a children's mental health facility with her roommate before traveling to her great aunt's house, striking her on the head, attempting to slit her throat and then stabbing her in the back.

Kansas: Robert Berdella, 30. The Kansas City Butcher

Robert Berdella was in his 30s when he killed his first victim, and he went on to become the state's most famous serial killer, nicknamed The Kansas City Butcher. Berdella kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed at least six men, killing them after weeks and weeks of being held captive. His dark nickname came from the fact he would dissect his victims and try to dispose of them in garbage bags.

Kentucky: Carl Newton Mahan, 6. Shot His Friend

Carl Newton Mahan and his friend Cecil Van Hoose, who was 8 years old, were having a fight like many kids would - only it ended in tragedy. After Cecil had slapped him in the face, Carl ran home to get his father's 12-gauge shotgun and went back outside, shooting and killing his 8-year-old friend.

Louisiana: Derrick Todd Lee, 24. Murdered 7 Women

He became known as the Baton Rouge Serial Killer after murdering seven women in this area of Louisiana. Before he committed the murders, he was also known for stalking and watching women in their homes.

A 19-year-old man named Stephen Jarrod Davis II pled guilty to murdering his 5-year-old half sister in Maryland. Though 19 at the time of his confession, he was actually 17 at the time the murder took place. Anayah Jannah Abdul, his infant sister, had been stabbed multiple times and was found dead in the house.

Massachusetts: Jesse Harding Pomeroy, 14. Mutilated & Murdered A 4 Year Old Boy

Jesse Harding Pomeroy is still the youngest ever known killer of Massachusetts, even though he was active way back in the late 1800s. He was convicted of murder, as well as being a suspected serial killer. It began with reported attacks on young boys who were lured to remote areas and attacked by an 'older boy'. Pomeroy was found guilty of murdering a 4-year-old boy whose body had been mutilated.

Michigan: Jamarion Lawhorn, 12. Committed Murder On A Playground

Jamarion Lawhorn was just a young 12-year-old when he decided to commit murder in the city of Kentwood in Michigan. He was found guilty of first-degree murder after he stabbed a 9 year old named Connor Verkerke to death on a playground. Lawhorn and Verkerke didn't know each other, and Lawhorn had gone to the playground with the intent of stabbing someone - anyone.

Minnesota: Brian Lee Flowers, 16. Commit Double Slaying

The youngest murderers in this state are Brian Lee Flowers (16) and Stafon Thompson (17) who were handed life sentences after they killed a mother and her 10-year-old son. The boys stabbed the woman over 100 times before her son, who had to witness his mother being killed, was then murdered by having a TV smashed over his head.

Mississippi: Samuel Little, 30. Murdered 93 Women

Samuel Little was a serial killer arrested in Mississippi in 1982, later confessing to 93 murders where 60 of them were confirmed he was involved. Little has the highest number of confirmed victims in the history of the US for a serial killer. His criminal life began at an early age with theft and assault before moving to murder.

Missouri: Alyssa Bustamante, 15. Murdered Her Neighbor

Bustamante lured her neighbor, Elizabeth Olten - who was only 9 years old - into the woods, where she then strangled and stabbed her. The only reason Bustamante had for the murder was that she just wanted to see what it was like to kill someone. She later pled guilty to the murder charge and was sentenced to life in prison.

Nathaniel Benjamin Levi Bar-Jonah was convicted in Montana for kidnapping, aggravated assault and the sexual assault of children, while also being suspected of serial killing - and cannibalistic serial killing at that. His cannibalistic ways began at the age of 6 when he would pick at his own wounds and taste the blood.

Nebraska: Charles Raymond Starkweather, 19. Killed 11 People

The youngest serial killer in Nebraska was John Joubert, already mentioned on this list for his crimes in Maine as well as Nebraska. The next youngest was Charles Raymond Starkweather, who - like John - was also 19 when he became a murderer. Starkweather killed 11 people in the space of one month in a murderous spree.

Nevada: Robert J. Lanoue, 29. Killed A 5-Year-Old Girl

At 29 years old, Robert J. Lanoue killed 5-year-old Anne Pham - but it wasn't until around 40 years later that he would be convicted of the crime. Anne Pham was making her way to school when she was sexually assaulted before being strangled. The case went cold before DNA flagged up Lanoue as the man responsible.

New Hampshire: H. H. Holmes, 29. Murdered 200 people.

Holmes hailed from New Hampshire before he went on to build his infamous Murder Castle in Chicago, and being responsible for taking around 200 lives.

New Jersey: Richard Cottingham, 20. Strangled Woman To Death

Richard Cottingham was convicted of his first murder, when he strangled a 29-year-old woman named Nancy Schiava Vogel when he was just 20 years old. Nancy had been married with two children. Although this was his first official conviction, Cottingham claimed to have murdered other people in his teenage years before Nancy.

New Mexico: Nehemiah Griego, 15. Killed His Family

15-year-old Nehemiah Griego, the son of a New Mexico pastor, was accused of killing his parents and siblings in a shooting spree. It's said he used assault rifles and a van full of ammunition, with plans to originally visit a local Wal-Mart and commit murder there. Instead, he went to his family's church and was said to kill his whole family.

New York: Retta McCabe, 4. Killed Brother

Retta McCabe was a young girl born in New York in 1893, who was described as being Jekyll and Hyde due to her switch between murderous infant and sweet, innocent little girl. She was at home playing with her family when she stomped on and beat her infant brother, who later died in hospital due to his wounds. Apparently Retta laughed when she found out he'd died.

North Carolina: James Upchurch, 20. Bludgeoned A Man To Death

James Bartlett Upchurch (III) was convicted of murdering a man named Lieth Von Stein, who he stabbed and bludgeoned to death. H also assaulted Von Stein's wife with the intent to kill, but only Lieth lost his life. It was believed at the time that Upchurch had committed the murder in the hope that his friend (Leith's step-son) would inherit the wealthy estate.

North Dakota: Eugene Butler. Skeletons Discovered In His Cellar After He Died

The property had passed hands and when workmen came to excavate it, they discovered human remains in the cellar. It was discovered that Butler had murdered six teenage boys and buried their bodies.

A man named Justin Back was murdered by 19-year-old Austin Myers and Timothy Mosley, who were both convicted of killing him in his own home. Mosley stabbed Back 21 times when the plan to strangle him went wrong. But the case became controversial due to Myers not actually touching the murder weapon.

Pennsylvania: Harvey Miguel Robinson, 17. Killed 3 Women

At the time he was caught by police, he had another woman in his car who he'd planned to take home and kill her, too. Craig Chandler Price was only 13 when he began his murder spree, which would last until the age of 15. The young serial killer already had a record for petty theft, but he then went on to murder innocent people in his neighborhood: two women, and the two daughters of one of the female victims. One of the women he stabbed 58 times.

South Carolina: Virginia Hudson, 7. Killed A 1-Year-Old

South Dakota: Elijah Page, 19. Kidnapped, Tortured & Murdered A Man

With the help of two other men who commit the same crime, Elijah Page kidnapped American Chester Allan Poage in 2000 and then proceeded to torture him before finally killing him. He was executed for his crimes via lethal injection in 2007, and was the first person to be executed in South Dakota in over 60 years.

Tennessee: Christa Pike, 18. Torture-Murdered Her Classmate

It started out with Christa Pike being jealous of her friend, Colleen Slemmer, over a boy at university. Pike lured Slemmer to a secluded location where she, and others, attacked her. Slemmer was then beaten and tortured for around 30 minutes, including having a pentagram carved into her chest. The killing blow was when Pike smashed Slemmer's head in with a large slab of asphalt.

Texas: Chris Young, 21. Shot The Owner Of A Convenience Store

Chris Young went into the convenience store owned by Hasmukh Patel in 2004, with the intention of robbing it. He ended up shooting Patel in the attempted robbery, and the store owner died from his wounds. Chris Young was sentenced to death, and died in 2008 through lethal injection.

Utah: Nick Clatterbuck, 15. Murdered His Foster Family

Nick Clatterbuck was living in a foster home, with two parents and their children in Utah, when he had a falling out with his foster parents. Nick reacted by shooting his foster father 16 times, before shooting his foster mother several times as well as stabbing her. He avoided the death penalty and was sent to prison.

Vermont: Gary Lee Schaefer, Late 20s. Killed 3 Girls

Garry Lee Schaefer was in his late twenties when he committed his first murder in the state of Vermont. He was a suspected serial killer, believed to have murdered three girls, only two of which he confessed to and the third he was suspected of. He would also kidnap and rape his victims before killing them.

Virginia: Mary Cooper, 9. Killed Her Cousin

Mary Cooper was only 9 years old when she committed murder - and the murder of another young child, at that. She killed 7-year-old Melville Barrett, who was also Mary's cousin, while the two were living together with their uncle. Mary's sister had said that she killed the boy because he'd stolen her egg.

Washington: Heather Smith, 14. Double Murder Suicide

Heather Smith was a 14-year-old girl who, back in 1985, murdered two boys at school by fatally shooting them with a .22 caliber rifle she'd taken into Spanaway Junior High School. One of the boys was Heather's boyfriend. After killing them, she then turned the rifle on herself and committed suicide.

West Virginia: Gavin Smith, 18. Murdered Whole Family

Gavin Smith was sentenced to life imprisonment after the 18-year-old killed four of his family members: his own mother, his stepfather and his two siblings. The judge at the trial branded Smith as "pure evil", and that he'd planned to murder his entire family out of cold blood. Gavin's reasoning for the murder was apparently to spend time with his girlfriend.

Wisconsin: Brendan Dassey, 16. Involved In Murder

Brendan Dassey was involved in the murder of Teresa Halbach, while Dassey's uncle, Steven Avery, is the subject of the crime, and the show. Brendan Dassey was found guilty at 16 of being party to first-degree murder, second-degree sexual assault and mutilation of a corpse.

Wyoming: Justin R. Geiger, 20. Murder Suicide

Justin R. Geiger was a student at the University of Wyoming. At 20 years old, he fatally shot another student, a 19-year-old woman named Amber N. Carlson, and stabbed another multiple times - 20-year-old Adam Towler - before then taking his own life by shooting himself in the head in 2006.
