12. Nana The Monkey - $4,000

Not to be confused with Bongo the Monkey! Nana the Monkey was released in 1995 and wasn't around for long before it was rebranded and re-released as Bongo. The original version will have 'Nana' on the tag and it doesn't have a poem on it - so get checking your tags if you have one!

13. Peace The Bear - $5,000

Peace the Bear was first seen in 1997 and was on the market for around three years. During an Oakland A's and Boston Red Sox baseball game it was given out as a promotion. Only the original ones though and the way you can tell is that no two tie-dye colours are the same and they have a peace symbol embroidered on their chest.

14. Snort The Red Bull - $6,500

The original Red Bull beanie baby was called Tabasco. But in 1997 Ty were facing a copyright infringement lawsuit and decided to change its name to 'Snort' to avoid any problems. It is absolutely identical to Tabasco but comes with a HUGE price tag of $6,500. Crazy!

15. Gobbles The Turkey - $6,750

16. Seaweed The Otter - $7,000

Seaweed the Otter is absolutely ADORABLE, but nothing makes him cuter than his $7,000 price tag. It's pretty wild the amount of money people will pay, but that's beanie babies collectors for you! You'll be swimming in money thanks to your little friend, Seaweed.

17. Peanut The Elephant - $7,000

Peanut the Elephant is now considered to be one of the rarest beanie babies in the world! He could be worth as much as $7,000! The original dark blue versions were actually made by accident so these are the ones worth the mega bucks!

18. Halo The Bear - $7,500

19. McDonald's International Bears - $10,000

McDonald's did a collab with Beanie Babies in the 1990s. They made 'Teenie Babies' to go in their happy meals. Those aren't actually worth anything, but the exclusive bears they created are. There's 4 bears: Britannia from Britain, Maple from Canada, Erin from Ireland and Glory the USA. Any one of these in the original packaging could be worth $10,000!

20. Patti The Platypus - $10,000

Patti is one of the original beanie babies and a huge favourite of the collectors. Every collector would love to get their hands on Patti and would pay around $10,000 to do so. But only for the specific magenta version which is really rare. All the other variations are worth nowhere near as much.

22. Brownie The Bear - $20,000

Brownie the Bear is a HUGE collectors item! It is one of the original beanie babies and worth an absolute FORTUNE. It has brown fur and a tan snout and it doesn't have a poem inside it's tag if it is one of the actual originals. It was eventually replaced by 'Cubbie' so don't get them mixed up as there will be a big difference in price!

23. Hippity, Hoppity and Floppity The Bunnies - $30,000

Having a full set of beanie babies is where the real money is. These three, cute bunnies are appropriately named and are quite unusual for being a set. If you have just one of the bunnies you might still be able to get some money for it, but the big sum will come if you have all three!

24. Valentino The Bear - $42,300

We have finally reached silly money territory now. A very elegant looking bear that proved very popular back in the day. His colours and red detailing make him a firm favourite with collectors. Some versions of him have the name misspelt inside the tag which causes the price tag to rocket to around $42,000!

25. Lefty The Donkey and Righty The Elephant - $50,000

Another rare set of beanie babies but this one is even more interesting as there is a pair out there that has been signed by Hilary Clinton herself! In 2006, a father got the beanie babies signed for his daughters, and collectors are now willing to pay $50,000 for the signed pair!

26. Piccadilly from The Attic Collection - $125,000

Clowns aren't always the most popular choice with kids as they can be pretty scary. Piccadilly Attic is a clown beanie bear and an absolute hit with the collectors! Probably due to him being not as popular back in the day so there aren't actually that many around now so he comes with a VERY generous price tag.

27. Bubbles - $129,000

Bubbles was very popular in 1996 when it was first released. Although, it's one of those beanie babies with a few different errors so is actually worth a fortune to collectors these days. If it was made in 1996 and has errors on the tush tags then you are one lucky owner as they are worth a bomb!

28. 15 inch and 9 inch Peace Bear - $159,000

One of the top three most expensive beanie babies in the world is the gigantic 15-inch Peace the Bear and the 9-inch version. 29. Princess The Bear - $500,000

Princess the Bear was produced by Ty in memory of the late Princess Diana. This alone makes her a huge hit with collectors. The bear was sold to encourage donations to the Princess' memorial fund. The bear has a purple body and features a white rose on it's chest. It's EXTREMELY rare, hence the whopping half a million dollar price tag.

30. Large Wallace and his Squad - $600,000

The most expensive beanie babies in the world is Large Wallace and his Squad. Similar to the Peace Bear duo, you need the whole package to make some money on this but it will be worth it. 31. Whisper the Deer - $20,000

Because why wouldn't you want a beanie baby that reminds you of the pain of Bambi? Whisper the deer was released in 1998, with little white spots on her light brown coat. 32. Tuffy the Terrier - Over $12,000

Tuffy the adorable terrier is worth so much more if he's in mint condition (but how can you resist playing with this little guy?). Tuffy was actually originally given out at sporting events, and was also produced with errors that made it worth more if kept in plastic casing.

33. Hope the Bear - $10,500

Hope the bear was an adorable choice if you needed a little more - well, hope in your lives. The bear is made in a position where it's praying, with its eyes closed. It comes as tan colored with white paws and muzzle - and will set you back over $10,000 if you want one!

34. Jabber the Parrot - $10,000

A great name for a parrot, of course, this colorful offering comes in at around $10,000 too. The reason he's so valuable is because Jabber is one of the most colorful of all the beanie babies, which fetches a higher price. He's one of the beanie babies that takes the longest to produce because of the amount of different colored sections.

35. Mystic the Unicorn - $9,861

Mystic the unicorn, a pure white magical beast, was released in 1997 - and she actually has four different variations, but it's the white one with the iridescent horn worth this amount of money. Other varieties of Mystic include a tan horn, a furry mane and a coarse mane.

36. Freckles the Spotted Leopard - $9,000

We suppose if they'd called it Spot the Spotty Leopard it wouldn't have the same effect! So Freckles it is. Freckles is worth A LOT of money, with brown and black eyes and leopard print coat when it was all the rage in the 90s when Freckles was released. Adorable!

37. Chocolate the Moose - $8,550

Chocolate the moose is actually one of the original nine beanie babies - so this moose is quite special (and expensive). Chocolate was actually the last out of the nine to be retired, and enjoyed a four year run from 1994 to 1998. There was also a baby version of Chocolate!

38. Claude the Crab - $8,000

This snappy fella originally came about in 1996, and the most valuable of this crab beanie baby are the first editions, and the ones produced with errors are actually more valuable than the ones not. The errors include on the tag, and an extra space between the ty letter label!

39. Ringo the Baby Raccoon - $7,997

Released in 1996, Ringo is an example of a classic beanie baby, with an adorable coat, little black button eyes and a white muzzle with black whiskers. He's worth a lot of money if you have a version that's in mint condition, even after he was retired 2 years after his release.

40. Wise the Owl - $7,500

You can see why this beanie baby was a popular gift for graduation, as Wise the Owl was designed with graduation in mind! But the rush to get him completed in time for everyone graduated might have been the reason for a lot of errors with this particular beanie, but he's still worth a fortune!

41. Magic the Dragon - $7,000

And isn't this dragon just magical indeed! It's not often you see a pure white dragon, which is why this one is so special - and so expensive. Magic has plush white fur and a tiny pink button nose, as well as a long curled tail and those pretty impressive shimmering wings!

42. Ty Santa Claus Beanie Baby Bear - $7,000

He's now worth quite a lot of money, if you're on the nice list...

43. Scorch the Dragon - $7,000

You can never have too many beanie baby dragons, and this one is a little different from Magic the white dragon. Scorch still has those iridescent wings, but in a darker color, and he has a textured dark skin with a little red tongue. He's actually the very first beanie baby to have this style of texture on his coat!

44. Jake the Mallard - $6,900

Jake the Mallard actually comes in a few different varieties, and not all of them are 'rare' - so not all of them will fetch this price tag. The one you want to watch out for is the one with errors - Jake sold for a high price when the dates on his swing tag and normal label didn't match!

45. Stinky the Skunk - $6,500

An apt - if rather mean - name for a skunk, this cute fellow brings in a price tag in the thousands! The original Stinky didn't have a poem or anything that came with him, but he was released in new generations which then came with a poem as well as a birthdate on the tag.

46. Blizzard the Snow Tiger - $5,000

47. Baldy the Bald Eagle - $5,000

Of course, every American needs Baldy to celebrate their patriotic spirit and the Fourth of July! This expensive beanie also comes with a funny poem (yes, it talks about a hair transplant).

48. Pouch the Kangaroo - $5,000

The best thing about this adorable kangaroo beanie named Pouch is you get twice as much cuteness for your money - because hiding in her pouch is a little baby joey! She also comes with cute button eyes and nose, as well as a poem about hopping about with her baby.

49. Brutus the Rottweiler - $5,000

Brutus the Rottweiler proves why he was given the completely wrong name, because he's as adorable as can be, with his fluffy black and brown fur. He was first released in 2006, but there was actually an updated version of Brutus later with bigger eyes and moved into a seated position! Cute.

50. Congo the Gorilla - $5,000

Congo might look cute and simple, but he's worth A LOT of money. Not to be confused with Bongo, his lighter brown cousin. Congo is worth more when he has some errors on his beanie baby tag, including the fact that some Congos had a Hippity Bunny tag by mistake!
