One of the best ways to make work more bearable is to give yourself, or your employees something to work towards. For example, if they work to a high enough level then they might earn a company trip or meal. If you have something you know your working towards, the work can become much more enjoyable.

Most companies will help there employees by celebrating national holidays or days in the year that come with traditions. I'm thinking decorating for Christmas or taking part in any form of Halloween costume competition. You have to take any opportunity you can get to entertain yourself in the workplace.

One of the easiest ways to make your work day more entertaining is simply by spending time communicating with your fellow workers. A friendly relationship at work can be the difference between you loving and hating your job; if you have someone you can talk to during the day, a real friendship, you'll feel infinitely better.

Take Quick Breaks

It can be quite a slog working consecutively for 8 or more hours a day, even when you have your lunch break in the middle. One of the best ways to mitigate work being boring or stressful is by taking mini 5 minute breaks to make yourself feel a little better. Maybe watch a video or have a little walk!

ENJOY Your Lunch Break

A lunch break doesn't just have to be an hour or so where you eat your food and then head back to your desk (or wherever it is you work). You might actually be able to do more with your lunchtime, that on the whole, will make your day 100x more bareable. It can be a period of time to recharge!

Be Inventive

Our jobs can get boring quickly, especially if you find yourself doing the same task over and over and over again. If you can find a way to choose your own activities, whilst working your job then you'd be quickly enjoying your job a lot more than you currently are. You might need to ask your boss, but as long as you do your job you should be fine.

Set Yourself A Target

Just as we spoke about how having something rewarding to work towards can help you enjoy work more, you can also set yourself your own goals. Having a self-set target can be great for boosting your own work efficiency and also generally making work seem more bareable. Time might move just a little bit faster.

Get Pumped Up

Waking up can be one of the worst parts about going to work in the morning, we all want to spend that extra hour or so in bed! But if you can start your day with a motivational playlist then you might find yourself feeling much better throughout the day. Get your favourite tunes on in the car to work.

Listen to Music During The Day

Not only can you get yourself pumped during your morning routine, you might also be able to listen to your favourite music throughout the day. If you're lucky enough, you can get some headphones on and enjoy them, but if worse comes to worse you can always settle for using the office radio!

Having the right aesthetic in your office can actually be very beneficial to you, more than you might ever expect. A traditional work desk might be boring, surrounded by plain white walls; but decorate it in any way you can and you might feel more at home when you're actually working. Maybe some pictures of friends and family.

It can be quite dull when you have to wear the same uniform day in and day out in your office, but if you're one of the lucky ones that gets to choose what they wear then try some new things. Now, it would be stupid to suggest you take something like a full video games console to work with you, but you might find that having a small board game might give your brain that little boost of energy to get you through the day. Monopoly obviously wouldn't work but what about a battleships or a ludo?

Happy Hour

This has long been a staple of the work place, and something that we can all get behind. This isn't just an activity that lasts a day and then its done, nicknames could last the entirety of the time that you're working at one place. It can be a great way to become identifiable and you can feel a greater sense of belonging. Try and think of things someone does or they enjoy to find a suitable nickname.
