Born on June 9 1963 and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky. Johnny's first love was music, his mother bought him his first guitar aged 12, and joined a band named The Kids in 1980. Depp's first role came in the horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and two years later he was thrust more into the public eye when he landed the role of teenage hunk Officer Tom Hanson in 21 Jump Street. Hanson is the main character in the series, appearing in seasons 1-4, and even though he faked his only death, Hanson is seen alive in season 4, appearing as an elderly man.

After 21 Jump Street, Depp has gone out to be a huge movie star, who has not been able to dodge controversy. He was cast as Captain Jack Sparrow in one of the highest-grossing film franchises Pirates of the Caribbean (2003–2017). Other notable appearances include Edward Scissorhands (1990)and Sleepy Hollow (1999). In 2012 he was named the world's highest-paid actor, with earnings of $75 million that year. More recently Depp has faced allegations of alcohol and substance abuse and was involved in a highly publicized defamation case with his ex-wife Amber Heard, where both alleged abuse against each other.

Brad Pitt who is known all across the globe for famous appearances in Seven (1995), Meet Joe Black (1998), and Inglourious Basterds (2009) also appeared in 21 Jump Street. In 1988, aged 25, Pitt played the role of Peter in one episode who was a troubled teen who committed suicide, due to a tragic childhood at the hands of his alcoholic parents. Enrolling at the University of Missouri in 1982, to study journalism, Pitt later moved to Los Angeles due to his love of film and began his acting career in 1987 on NBC soap opera Another World.

Since his appearance on 21 Jump Street, Pitt has gone on to reach great heights. His breakthrough role came in 1994 when he portrayed the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac in the horror film Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. For his role as Achilles in Troy, Pitt spent six months sword training before filming began. Famously Pitt has dated several women, most notably he has previously been married to Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. In 2016 he started to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in a bid to get sober.

Born in Saigon, Vietnam on September 17, 1962. Dustin Nguyen arrived in the US as a teenager originally arriving at a refugee camp in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. He was then relocated to St. Louis. Dustin's first acting role came in Magnum, P.I, however, he is best known for his role as Harry Truman who was one of the main characters in 21 Jump Street. Appearing in 81 episodes across 4 seasons playing an undercover detective his character also reflected his own life also arriving as a refugee from Vietnam on the show.

After finishing 21 Jump Street, Dustin Nguyen starred opposite Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett in Little Fish (2005) playing a heroin addict. He also played a small cameo in the 22 Jump Street film as Vietnamese Jesus. On September 3, 2001, Nguyen's wife was involved in a car accident that tragically left her a quadriplegic. These days Dustin has moved back to Vietnam to direct films and his directorial debut came in the fantasy film Once Upon a Time in Vietnam. In his spare time, Nguyen also likes to practice martial arts

Making his acting debut in the 1975 film Cooley High. Williams was not always destined to be an actor, born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Chicago, Steven served in the United States Army, worked for the United States Postal Service, and as a apparel salesman before landing his first acting role. On 21 Jump Street, he played Captain Adam Fuller, who was the senior officer on the show supervising younger cops. He appeared from episode 7 and continued playing the character until the series ended in 1991.

After filming had wrapped on 21 Jump Street, in 1997 Williams was nominated at the Screen Actors Guild for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a Drama Series, for his role as X in the Sci-Fi series The X-Files. Steven has also had countless guest appearances on television, including The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, and Stargate SG-1. He currently has two daughters and is married to talent agent Anne Geddes. Williams's latest role is in an American crime drama television series named Snowfall.

An actor and a former fashion model, Richard Grieco was born in Watertown, New York on March 23, 1965. He worked for Armani, Calvin Klein, and Chanel, before landing his first acting role in One Life to Live (1985-87) In 1988, Richard then played Detective Dennis Booker in 21 Jump Street. In the show, Booker is sent by Internal Affairs to check out Jump Street, to keep an eye on how they work. Grieco appeared in seasons 3-4 and also returned to play a cameo role in the 2014 film 22 Jump Street.

Richards's film debut came in 1991 when he played Michael Corben in If Looks Could Kill. Other TV series Grieco has appeared in include Marker, A Night at the Roxbury, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Not limiting himself to acting and modeling, Richard is also a musician and an artist! In 1994 he sang with the Dunmire Band releasing a CD, Waiting for the Sky to Fall, in 1995, this was re-released as an album in 2011 available on iTunes and Spotify. He also sold his first painting in 2009 for $10,900.

Peter DeLuise was born and raised in New York, on November 6, 1966. DeLuise made his acting debut in 1979 in the film Hot Stuff. He is best known for playing Officer Doug Penhall in 21 Jump Street., starting in 1987. Peter appeared in 91 episodes, across 5 seasons, with his last appearance coming in the episode named "Number One with a Bullet"

After appearing in the final episode of 21 Jump Street, DeLuise also appeared on SeaQuest DSV as Dagwood between 1994-1996. He also moved into producer, writer, director, and creative consultant on the series Stargate SG-1, even allowing his father Dom DeLuise, to make a guest appearance on the episode "Urgo" In 2012, DeLuise also made a cameo appearance on the film adaptation of 21 Jump Street.

13. Sal 'Blowfish' Banducci

As a young actor trying to find his way, Sal Jenco used to live in a car with a friend, full of trash and empty beer cans, somewhere in Florida. In 1987, Jenco got serious about acting and traveled to Vancouver, to see his friend Johnny Depp, where he landed the role as Sal 'Blowfish' Banducci on 21 Jump Street, impressing producers with his party trick, seen in the above picture.

After appearing in 42 episodes between 1987-1990 on 21 Jump Street, Jenco then had roles in the movie Nasty Boys and the TV Series Beauty and the Beast, both in 1989. His last acting credit came in 1998 on Living Out Loud. Sal, was also the co-founder of a club located on the Sunset Strip named The Viper Room, the venue came under the spotlight after the Australian singer Jason Donovan suffered a drug-induced seizure whilst at the club.

Not the only DeLuise and the cast of 21 Jump Street, Michael DeLuise is the brother of Peter DeLuise and played the role of Officer Joey Penhall. Born in Los Angeles, on 4 August 1969, just like his brother his debut acting role came in the film hot stuff in 1979, where his dad Dom DeLuise, also had a part, before joining the cast of 21 Jump Street in 1990 making 11 episodes.

Seemingly following his brother around, Michael also appeared on SeaQuest DSV, after 21 Jump Street, and later had a guest appearance on Stargate SG-1. He has also had recurring TV show appearances as TJ on Gilmore Girls and Andy Sipowicz's older son on NYPD Blue. His last acting credit came in the comedy-drama series Bunheads (2013). He also appeared in a music video by the Dixie Chicks, as a cop in 2000.

In 1972, Frederic Forrest burst onto the scene being nominated for a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year, for his role in When the Legends Die. The son of a furniture store owner, Forrest was born in Waxahachie, Texas, and also served in the US Army. He played Captain Richard Jenko on the first season of 21 Jump Street, however, was hit and killed by a drunk driver in the 6th episode!

Frederic was married on three different occasions, once to a college girlfriend, an actress, and a model. Forrest received a second Golden Globe Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his appearance in the musical drama The Rose (1979). He was most known for his role as Chef in Apocalypse Now. Unfortunately, Fredric passed away aged 86 at his home in California on June 23, 2003.

Making her acting debut in the 1983 film The Prodigal, Alexandra Powers joined the cast of 21 Jump Street in 1990 and played Officer Kati Rocky, only appearing for 2 episodes. Powers was born in New York, living on both coasts with her divorced parents. Her father taught acting and her mother wrote for television programs which included Fantasy Island and Charlie's Angels.

As an actress, Powers also appeared in the film Rising Sun (1993) where still played a prostitute, who attempted to seduce the character played by Wesley Snipes. For her role in the television series Tonya and Nancy, Alexandra received ice-skating lessons. In the 1990's she announced that she had become a Scientologist and married Gavin Potter in 2000 joining the Sea Organization which is the religious order of the Church of Scientology.

Growing up on or around the stages of New York, David Barry Gray, graduated from NYC's High School of Performing Arts. He also spent time at H.B. Studios, where he was taught by fellow actors including William Hickey,. From 1987, David appeared on 21 Jump Street, as Officer Dean Garrett. He appeared as a guest in season 4 and then had a recurring role in the final season.

Throughout his career, David Barry Gray swapped between Broadway and the big screen. His most well-known appearance on stage was playing "Rodolpho" in the Tony Award-winning production of Arthur Miller's "A View From The Bridge. In 1988, Yvette Nipar landed the role of Jackie Garrett in 21 Jump Street, who was an Assistant District Attorney. She appeared in six episodes in the third season of the show.

As well as being an actress, Yvette Nipar, was also a model in her younger days after graduating at Huntington Beach High School. Once turning to actress, she appeared in several movies and television series, retiring in 2007, after appearing in Walking Tall: Lone Justice. In 1992 she married Patrick McDermott and they divorced in 1993. McDermott went missing in 2005 after going on an overnight fishing trip off the coast of LA.

Studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. Michael Bendetti, only appeared in three episodes of the fifth and final season of 21 Jump Street, playing Anthony McCann. Bendetti was hired as the replacement for the main star of the show, Johnny Depp, who left the show after wanting too much money and craving more challenging roles. No pressure!

The daughter of jazz musician Henry Nemo, Gina Nemo was born in Manhattan, New York on March 22, 1965. From the age of 4, Nemo appeared in television commercials and televised dances on several television networks. She had an award-winning role as Dorothy Pezzino in 21 Jump Street in the 1980s. Dorothy is the former girlfriend of Doug Penhall on the show.

In 1989 she won the role of Officer Judy Hoffs, on 21 Jump Street and appeared in 103 episodes across all five seasons. Judy is the only one of the Jump Street gang who has a college degree.

Holly also had a musical career and one of her songs included the introductory song to 21 Jump Street. She also recorded the theme song "We Got Our Love" for the 1987 film Three for the Road. On June 10, 1995, Robinson married Rodney Peete and they now have four children. The family starred in a reality TV series named For Peete's Sake between 2016- 2017.
