Unseen Images of Ryan Gosling

1. Disney child star

(Image/ Source: youtube.com)
Ryan Gosling found fame before most of us could even finish high school. He was one of the child stars of the Mickey Mouse Club alongside pop princesses Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, as well as Justin Timberlake. It seems like the casting directors at Disney really do have an eye for talent! Here Ryan and Justin are taking part in yet another cringey Disney sketch that we can’t help but love.

2. Hanging with Bryan Cranston

(Image/ Source: pinterest.com)
If you’ve ever watched Drive, you’ll know that it’s probably one of Ryan Gosling’s best films (well we think so anyway). His brooding charm may have stolen the show, but supporting actor Bryan Cranston also made an impact on fans. The actors were spotted hanging out between takes with director Nicolas Winding Refn for some of the film’s most crucial scenes back in 2010. Bryan certainly looks like he’s enjoying himself!

3. Twelve-year-old charm

(Image/ Source: successstory.com)
Before he turned into a Hollywood heartthrob, Ryan was just a sweet twelve-year-old in a blue jean button down. Here he is being unbelievably polite (and incredibly Canadian) during his interview with Canada FM, which also features an adorable home video of him singing and dancing to Elvis at one of his old school shows. We can’t cope with the cuteness.

4. Eva Mendes

(Image/ Source: usweekly.com)
Ryan and Eva met while filming A Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, and they’ve been going strong ever since. They were spotted spending a LOT of time together after the film wrapped, and it became clear they were in a relationship. However, the couple likes to keep the details of their relationship private. They have two daughters together, but it’s not clear if the actors have secretly tied the knot at some point.

5. Kenergy

(Image/ Source: elle.com)
How hyped are you for the new Barbie movie? We definitely are! When filming got underway, some snaps emerged of Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie skating around Los Angeles in matching neon pink outfits, which are said to be inspired by the Hot Skatin’ Barbie of 1994. The pair were caught giggling together between takes on the beach, which seemed to bemuse a few passersby.

6. Hysterics with Harrison

(Image/ Source: variety.com)
If you haven’t already watched the video of Ryan and Gosling going to pieces in an interview for a British TV show, you’re in for a treat. The pair were doing the rounds for some Blade Runner 2049 promo, and they found themselves in an unusual position when they were interviewed by Brit star Alison Hammond. The normally grumpy Harrison Ford was cackling away with Alison, while Ryan giggled his way through with a whisky in tow.

7. Making friends

(Image/ Source: popsugar.co.uk)
While Ryan Gosling is a fairly private star, he always takes the time to have fun with his younger fans. Here he is at a film premiere having something of a smile-off with a little girl, which clearly seems to have made her evening! He’s also been pictured being super kind to his younger co-stars on the red carpet; with his experience as a Disney actor, he’s probably pretty good at giving advice and tips to those who want to live in La La Land…

8. Dance rehearsals

(Image/ Source: hellogiggles.com)
Speaking of La La Land, here’s Ryan rehearsing the most famous scene of the film with co-star Emma Stone. The pair take to the Hollywood hills to do some pretty fantastic singing and dancing, but as the old saying goes, practice makes perfect! It was one of THE biggest films of 2016, and was nominated for a whopping 14 Oscars (which makes it one of the most nominated in history alongside Titanic and All About Eve).

9. The Notebook

(Image/ Source: instagram.com)
If you’re like us, you’ll have watched (and cried hysterically through) The Notebook more times than you can count. And Ryan Gosling has been eternally thankful for his starring role as Noah Calhoun – the character that women would fall for time and time again. But it wasn’t just moviegoers that fell for Ryan; it was his co-star Rachel McAdams too!

10. Dating Rachel McAdams

(Image/ Source: vanityfair.com)
Ryan and Rachel initially butted heads a LOT of onset (there are even reports that Ryan Gosling actually wanted her fired) but they soon stopped bickering and started snuggling up to each other instead. The pair dated while t filming the movie in 2005, and they carried on until 2007. The pressure of their schedules and acting commitments caused their split, but they’re apparently still good friends.

11. Fun with Steve Carrell

(Image/ Source: fanpop.com)
Ryan Gosling and Steve Carrell starred in the romcom Crazy, Stupid, Love together, and the cast had an absolute ball filming. Ryan and Steve hit things off nicely, and they would often clown around in between takes. They also did a fair few interviews together when the film was released, and it was clear the actors had become firm friends. Steve also recently described Ryan as the ‘perfect’ casting choice as Ken, and would be giving him his full support. Aww.

12. Family time

(Image/ Source: pinterest.com)
He might be a sizzling Hollywood star, but Ryan is a family man at heart. The A-lister was spotted taking a walk with his eldest daughter Esmeralda while partner Eva was at home with their youngest daughter Amanda. And Eva has revealed that the pair get a lot of help raising their kids. In an interview with Women’s Health, she said
“'We have an amazing support group: Ryan's mom, my mom, Ryan's and my sisters. It's a village that helped us.”

13. A coffee run in Toronto

(Image/ Source: eonline.com)
Back in 2018, a woman went viral after her cardboard cut out of Ryan Gosling amused customers in her café in Toronto. This then evolved into a full-fledged Twitter campaign to get the actor to come and visit the coffee shop – and he did just that! He paid owner Joelle Murray a surprise visit, and as you can see, she was absolutely over the moon. She said:
“He was very well-spoken, a wonderful Canadian boy with very good manners.”

14. Carrying his dog

(Image/ Source: dailymail.com)
Ryan has always been open about how much he adored his beloved dog George. He was by the actor’s side for 16 years, ever since he picked George out at his local animal shelter. Ryan has spoken a lot about George; in interviews, he’s said:
“George is way more interesting than I am. I'd much rather talk about him… I take him everywhere, I have special paperwork so he can travel with me wherever I go.”
George sadly passed away in 2016.

15. Best friend Emma Stone

(Image/ Source: popsugar.com)
Ryan and Emma are a solid team; they’ve worked together on films including La La Land, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and Gangster Squad. In fact, Emma revealed that she just couldn’t imagine her life without her acting pal; in an interview at the Telluride Film Festival, she called him a
“dear, wonderful friend”
and gushed:
“I can't even imagine what my life would be without Ryan. He's so special. It makes me emotional!”.

16. Stopping a fight in NYC

(Image/ Source: youtube.com)
Ryan Gosling isn’t really a fan of the limelight. But he ended up going viral after he was spotted breaking up a fight on a street in NYC. Two men were arguing and brawling over a painting in the middle by St. Mark’s Place in the East Village while a few passersby looked confused and nervous. While a couple of passersby had tried to intervene, Ryan rushed in to help, and quickly took control of the situation.

17. Young Hercules

(Image/ Source: syfy.com)
If you’re a Ryan Gosling fan and you haven’t watched Young Hercules yet, we’d recommend you do so. Released back in 1998, it’s a super kitsch, cheesy show that was adapted for Fox’s Kids Network, and there’s plenty of shots of a young Ryan being very heroic and saving women in distress. It’s so bad it might be good! Ryan's Barbie co-star Margot Robbie recently discovered this show, and she’s now a BIG fan.

18. Catching up with JT

(Image/ Source: showbizcheatsheet.com)

Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake have reminisced about how they used to live together at Justin’s parent's house while they were filming for Disney; Ryan’s mom had to fly back to Canada for work, so Ryan was absorbed by Justin’s family. And while they catch up now and again, they’re not super close these days. Still, it was nice for them to get together at the Academy Film Awards back in 2018, where the pair were pictured having a little chat.

19. Behind the camera

(Image/ Source: dailymail.co.uk/ MPNC /AKM-GSI)
While Ryan Gosling generally seems more comfortable in front of the camera, there’s been times when he’s got behind it too. He wanted to learn how the camera crew got a perfect shot for a critical scene in the fantasy thriller Lost River, and he got stuck right in. It was his first-ever directorial debut, and he even helped with the editing process too.

20. BTS on Only God Forgives

(Image/ Source: entertainment.ie)
Ryan takes his acting roles super seriously, but he’s also known to be a serial giggler too! While going through a particularly intense scene for Only God Forgives, the A-lister chats with director Nicolas Winding Refn, who says:
“Violence is like sex...it's all about the build-up.”
Meanwhile, Ryan is caught smirking at the camera, and eventually breaks down into laughter.

21. Reading

(Image/ Source: pinterest.com)
The Hollywood actor is a big fan of books; he’s been caught reading plenty of times on the subway, in the park or walking around the city, and he’s revealed that he’s currently reading some of the classics to his daughters too! One particular book he’s trying to crack with them is The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, but it seems to be slow progress so far…

22. The Oscars

(Image/ Source: businessinsider.com)
Best pals Ryan and Emma were all smiles backstage at the 2017 Oscars. It was a big night for Emma Stone, who ended up winning Best Actress for her performance as Mia Dolan. The rest of the La La Land team also cleaned up with another five Academy Awards. While Ryan didn’t win any awards himself, he was supporting Emma and the rest of the La La Land crew every step of the way.

23. Casually threatening Christina Hendricks

(Image/ Source: youtube.com)
As behind the scenes pictures go, this one is pretty intense. Ryan and Christina were getting ready to shoot a tense scene in Drive where Ryan’s character (who is simply known as The Driver) attacks Christina’s character Blanche in an effort to get information out of her. The actors seem to work pretty well together; Ryan and Christina also teamed up on Lost River too.

24. A Place Beyond the Pines

(Image/ Source: wmagazine.com)
This striking photo was taken on the first day of filming A Place Beyond the Pines. W Magazine were given an exclusive behind the scenes tour, but they didn’t get much conversation from Ryan; he was fully immersed in his character Luke. Director Derek Cianfrance took nearly two decades to turn his family drama into a fully-fledged movie, and he was taken by Ryan Gosling’s sterling performance.

25. A man's best friend

(Image/ Source: etonline.com)
This is probably what we would look like if we met the man himself! Ryan’s made no secret about how much he loves dogs, and he couldn’t resist giving a few pats to this very good boy. The A-lister was on his way to record The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in NYC back in 2016 when he just had to stop and say hello to this gorgeous four-legged friend.

26. Eating his cereal

(Image/ Source: theguardian.com)
Remember the amazing viral video series “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” from 2013 and 2014? Well, in honor of the vine created by uber-talented director Ryan McHenry, the A-lister decided to record a video of himself finally eating his cereal. Ryan Gosling recorded it as a tribute to the Scottish creator who sadly passed away from osteosarcoma in 2015.

27. Red Nose Day

(Image/ Source: dailymail.co.uk / Osvaldo / BACKGRID)
The Hollywood star has been a big supporter of charities over the years. From his huge fundraiser with Chris Evans for pediatric cancer to worldwide campaigns with the Enough Project, Ryan Gosling isn’t afraid to get involved with good causes. Here he is on Red Nose Day in the UK – a yearly Comic Relief event that helps support charities and foundations across the world.

28. The Nice Guys

(Image/ Source: moviesinfocus.com)
The 2016 movie The Nice Guys has become something of a cult classic these days. Here director Shane Black is talking through a scene with Ryan and Russell Crowe, who star as detectives in this fun crime thriller. While a fair few Hollywood bigwigs were unsure about the unlikely pairing of Ryan and Russell, they managed to win audiences over in their millions.

29. Entertaining the press

(Image/ Source: justjared.com)
While some celebs absolutely lose it when they’re chased by the paps, Ryan Gosling seems to take it in his stride. When he and his dog George were followed by photographers when visiting a restaurant in NYC, the A-lister quickly started making funny faces at the press before tucking into his lunch. He also made time to pose for some snaps with fans who spotted him. What a nice guy, eh?

30. The puppy interview

(Image/ Source: buzzfeed.com)
Ryan, Margot and some adorable puppies. Need we say anymore? While doing yet more Barbie promo, the pair got acquainted with some adorable puppies while answering a few of Buzzfeed’s burning questions. While Margot was holding the interview together, Ryan completely zones out and spends most of his time splitting the fighting puppies up, telling them:
“This is a society! Use your words!”
. He’s not wrong.
