Richie Rich is a classic 90's movie that follows the main character, played by Macaulay Culkin, as he has to deal with a devious executive from his father's company. This particular movie, is one that shot Macauley into the spotlight, and made him a household name. He quickly became one of the most sought after child stars, and went on to star in many movies (including the Home Alone franchise).

Since his stardom in the 90's, Macauley has been known to suffer with substance abuse whilst still being in the public eye. He has always been open and honest about these struggles, and took time away from the public eye, in order to seek rehabilitation. Since exiting rehab, he has stayed within the world of acting, but tends to work within roles 'behind-the-scenes'.

Lawrence Van Dough is the antagonist of Richie Rich, played by John Larroquette, and is out to take down the Rich family and their successful business. Within this movie, Larroquette perfectly showcases the jealousy and deviance of his character. Lawrence Van Dough plots to bring down the Rich family empire, alongside other employees, whilst keeping up appearances.

Since his feature in Richie Rich, John Larroquette has gone on to star in a plethora of movies and television shows. He is mainly two for his voice acting, and has been featured as the narrator in multiple movies, including: 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'Green Lantern: First Flight', and 'F.Y.D'. It doesn't seem like John is looking to retire anytime soon, as he has recurring roles within television.

Stephi Lineburg (Gloria Koscinski) Then

The role of Gloria Koscinski, was played by actress: Stephi Lineburg. Gloria is a child from the Chicago suburbs, that Richie Rich enlists to help him take down Laurence Van Dough. She is a feisty red-head, who prefers to be in control of situations and general planning. Gloria gives Richie an insight into 'normal' living, and the fact that he doesn't need a load of money to make friends.

Following her feature in Richie Rich, Stephi Lineburg has had a range of roles within television (as well as a handful of movies). She has featured on the hit television shows, 'Law and Order', 'Homeland Security' and 'ER'. In terms of movies, Stephi has featured in the following: 'Blown Away', 'Zoe' and 'City By The Sea'. She has also had smaller roles within movies.

Edward Herrmann (Richard Rich) Then

Edward Herrmann plays the role of Richie's father, aptly named: Richard Rich. He is the individual responsible for the Rich family's wealth, and the overall operation of the family company. He is the target of Laurence Van Dough's plan, and is in grave danger (as well as his other family members). There is a point in the movie, when Richard is presumed dead, but fortunately re-emerges for the end of the movie.

Edward Herrmann (Richard Rich) Now

Edward Herrmann was an established actor before starring in Richie Rich, and was well-known for his roles in 'Gilmore Girls' and 'How I Met Your Mother'. He established his acting career within the world of theatre, and this quickly developed into high-end acting roles across television and movies. Unfortunately, Edward passed away in 2014, following a battle with brain cancer.

Jonathan Hyde (Herbert Arthur Runcible Cadbury) Then

Herbert Arthur Runcible Cadbury (referred to as 'Cadbury'), played by Jonathan Hyde, is the personal butler to Richie Rich, and aids him in saving his father's company. Cadbury is the trustworthy family butler, but he mainly focuses on Richie's needs, and provides him with much-needed support and companionship. Although he is 'just a butler', he is one of the biggest characters within the movie.

Since starring as the charismatic butler, Jonathan Hyde has had a varied and fruitful acting career (across television and film). He has starred in the following: 'Jumanji', 'A Touch Of Frost', 'Titanic', 'The Mummy', 'Crimson Peak and 'Doctor Jekyll. Jonathan is also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and continues to work within the world of theatre.

Christine Ebersole (Regina Rich) Then

Regina Rich (played by Christine Ebersole) is Richie's mother, and is another target of Van Dough's evil plot to take down the family's business. She accompanies Richard on a trip to England, where they are planning on visiting the Queen for her birthday celebrations. Regina is also presumed dead at one point in the movie, but fortunately makes an appearance for the end of the movie (alongside Richie's father).

Christine Ebersole was a well established actress before her role in Richie Rich, and has since, gone on to star in a plethora of television shows and movies, including: 'True Crime', 'Confessions Of A Shopaholic', 'The Wolf Of Wall Street', 'Driveways' and 'Licorice Pizza'. Christine has also had a long and lustrous career on Broadway (where she still stars in amazing musicals).

Mike McShane (Professor Keenbean) Then

Professor Keenbean (played by Mike McShane) is an inventor for the Rich family (within Rich Industries). He is known for his wild and wacky ideas, as well as his loyalty to the family. Professor Keenbean is the one who warns Richie of Van Dough's plans to kill Cadbury, and take full control of Rich Industries. He also aids Richie in bringing Van Dough to justice.

Mike McShane (Professor Keenbean) Now

Since starring in Richie Rich, Mike McShane has remained within the world of acting, and has focused on voice acting specifically. Among the many movies Mike has starred in, are: 'A Bug's Life', 'Office Space', 'Drop Dead Gorgeous', 'Big Trouble' and 'Treasure Planet'. Mike has also featured on BBC Radio shows (mainly within interviews or special features).

Claudia Schiffer (Aerobics Instructor) Then

Claudia Schiffer plays herself within this movie, and depicts Richie's personal aerobics instructor. This particular role is one of the smaller ones within this movie, and she has some of the shortest screen-time (compared to to other characters). This role really brought Claudia into the spotlight (within the world of film), and introduced her to a wider, global audience.

Claudia tends to play smaller roles within movies, as her audience are usually within the world of modelling and fashion.

Tony (played by Michael Maccarone) is one of the 'sandlot' children, that Richie is bribed into playing with, and is another child that helps Richie save his parents. Similarly Gloria, he is a suburban kid that is loud-mouthed and fearless. He is depicted as slightly dumb, but ultimately trustworthy, kind and always on the search for an exciting adventure.

Michael Maccarone only starred in one movie following Richie Rich, which was the 1997 movie: 'Private Parts'. Since his short career on-screen, Michael has developed his skills within production, and is currently a film producer and production manager. Some of his most recognized/successful work, includes: 'The Patient', 'Godfather Of Harlem' and 'Love'.

Joel Robinson (Omar) Then

Omar (played by Joel Robinson) is yet another of the 'sandlot' children that Richie plays with, and aids Richie in saving his family's company. He is depicted as the 'leader' of the trio, and seems to be the most mature/eldest of the group. Omar is definitely the most level-headed character within the group, which helps Richie remain calm whilst rescuing his family.

It seems that his career in acting was relatively short, and not much is known about what he is doing currently. It is possible that he is still within the world of acting, but only within smaller roles and/or 'behind the scenes'.

Ferguson (played by Chelcie Ross) is the Rich family's rude and tough security guard. He is also the character that plots against the Rich family with Lawrence Van Dough. As Ferguson is the head of security, he has the intel required for being able to break into the Rich family mansion, as well as the 'manpower' (people) to do so. Ferguson is definitely a character that is easy to dislike.

Chelcie Ross was another established actor before his role in Richie Rich, and has since been featured in a variety of television shows and movies. These features, include: 'Chain Reaction', 'A Simple Plan', 'Waking Up In Reno', 'Drag Me To Hell', 'New Money' and 'The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs'. Chelcie is one of the most versatile actors worldwide, and is still actively working.

Mariangela Pino (Diane Koscinski) Then

Diane Koscinski (played by Mariangela Pino) is the mother of Gloria, and also aids Richie in saving his parents and the family business. She is a single mother, and on-hand to provide the children with important advice and safety. Diane helps the children put a plan together, in order to stop Van Dough's evil plot. She also provides a love interest for Cadbury, and they share a kiss at the end of the movie.

Mariangela Pino (Diane Koscinski) Now

Since her role in Richie Rich, Mariangela was casted in the recurring role of Marie Morton, within the television show: 'Home Improvement'. She has also been featured on a wide variety of other television shows, including: 'Chicago Hope', 'ER', 'The Pretender', 'NYPD Blue', 'Brooklyn South' and 'Touched By An Angel'. Since 1999, Mariangela has been retired and is currently living out her retirement in America.

Richie's Economics Teacher (played by Ben Stein) is another smaller role within this movie, and is used to depict the Rich family's wealth. Similarly to Richie's aerobics instructor (Claudia Schiffer), the economics teacher is employed to only teach Richie. He is used to teach Richie the importance of economics, and the ways to successfully run the family's business.

As well as being an actor, Ben Stein is a comedian, writer and lawyer. This means he has had a varied and enriching career, across a range of industries. Some of the other movies he has featured within, include: 'The Mask', 'Miami Rhapsody', 'Caspar', 'House Arrest' and 'The Last Sharknado: It's About Time'. Ben is also heavily involved within politics, and has attended a range of government conferences.

Dawn Maxey (Ms. Fairchild) Then

Overall, Ms. Fairchild does not have much screen-time, and is used to add dimension to the character of Van Dough. Although she isn't directly within the public eye, she is still actively working.

He is depicted as a bit of a troublemaker, and is often the leader of hijinks within their classes. The role of Reginald, is another smaller part within this movie, and is used to add depth, dimension and context to Richie's overall character/general development.

Since featuring in Richie Rich, Justin Zaremby has only starred in one other movie. The movie in question, was the 1999 movie: 'Giving It Up' (where he played another smaller role). It seems that Justin has stepped away from the world of acting, and is living a much more private/'normal' life (away from the stress and busy nature of the public eye).
