The Roswell Incident is one of the most well-known UFO sightings in history. About 75 miles north of Roswell, a rancher named William "Mac" Brazel discovered unusual debris scattered across his ranch in early July 1947. The waste comprised metallic-like materials, rubber strips, and thin, lightweight beams. Roswell Army Air Field was contacted after Brazil reported the discovery to the local sheriff. On July 8, 1947, the RAAF sent a press statement announcing the discovery of "flying disc" wreckage. 

Kenneth Arnold UFO Sighting (1947)

Kenneth Arnold's sighting was one of history's most famous and influential UFO encounters. Businessman Kenneth Arnold noticed a flash of light in Washington State as he flew his small plane near Mount Rainier. At incredible speeds, he observed nine bright, disc-like objects flying in a "V" formation. He estimated their rate to be around 1,200 mph, significantly quicker than any known aircraft. "Flying saucers" was a term coined in the media to describe objects that Arnold described as crescent-shaped, metallic, and skipping-like saucers on water.

Betty and Barney Hill Abduction (1961)

While Betty and Barney Hill returned to New Hampshire after a vacation in Canada, a strange light moved erratically in the sky as they drove. Binoculars were used to investigate the event. They continued with their journey, but about two hours were lost during a "missing time" period. In the weeks following the incident, Betty and Barney Hill began experiencing psychological distress and recurring nightmares. They went to a psychiatrist for assistance, who employed hypnosis to help them remember the specifics of their lost time.  While hypnotized, Betty and Barney described being taken aboard a UFO, examined by humanoid beings with large black eyes, and questioned by humanoid beings. People often described the beings as "gray aliens."

The Phoenix Lights (1997)

Modern history is filled with mass UFO sightings, including the Phoenix Lights. On March 13, 1997, a tornado hit Arizona in the evening. According to thousands of witnesses, a series of lights shaped like a V appeared in the sky. Slowly moving across the night sky, the lights looked connected to a massive, silent craft. Civilians, police officers, and pilots observed the UFO sightings from different locations, making it the most witnessed UFO event ever.

Belgian UFO Wave (1989-1990)

It occurred between 1989 and 1990. In November 1989, numerous reports of unidentified flying objects began flooding in from various parts of Belgium. An unknown craft hovered silently in the sky with bright lights. These objects defied conventional aviation capabilities with their unusual maneuvers. UFO wave objects were tracked on radar during the Belgian wave.

Rendlesham Forest Incident (1980)

In December 1980, an unusual UFO sighting was seen in Rendlesham Forest near RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, England. RAF Woodbridge personnel reported seeing strange lights in the forest on December 26, 1980. A controlled movement was described, and the lights were colored and glowing. Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt, the deputy base commander, led a small team to investigate the sightings on December 28, 1980. During their investigation, Halt and his team discovered mysterious radiation evidence in the forest.

The Tehran UFO Incident, often called the "1976 Iranian UFO Incident," happened in Tehran, Iran, on September 19, 1976. Several witnesses reported seeing an ill-defined flying object over Tehran on the evening of September 19, 1976. According to witnesses, the things displayed rapid and erratic movement, unlike any known aircraft. In response to the reports, the Iranian Air Force sent two F-4 Phantom II fighter planes on a search mission. When the pilots targeted the UFOs, their radars failed to lock on the objects.

Mexican UFO Sightings

The early 1990s UFO boom in Mexico started over a decade ago. During this time, witnesses from various walks of life, including soldiers, citizens, and pilots, have reported seeing mysterious flying objects. On July 11, 1991, several witnesses in Mexico City reported seeing strange lights in the night sky, triggering the Mexican UFO wave. According to reports, the lights formed a triangular formation and flew unconventionally.

Stephenville Lights (2008)

During the evening of January 8, 2008, Stephenville Lights went out. A large, brightly illuminated object was spotted in the sky by witnesses at a low altitude. According to the report, the thing had a massive, flat, oval shape, with lights that changed colors and moved unusually. It was initially believed that the object was caused by military training exercises or flares released during Air Force training sessions. Some witnesses and UFO researchers questioned this explanation, arguing that flares or conventional aircraft could not explain the characteristics of the object.

The Washington D.C. UFO Sightings

Some blips appeared on radar screens on July 12, 1952, when air traffic controllers at Washington National Airport noticed them.  On multiple occasions during July 19–20 and July 26–27, 1952 nights, strange flying objects were observed over Washington, D.C., according to radar operators at Andrews Air Force Base and Washington National Airport. 

The Lubbock Lights

Three college instructors from Texas Tech University observed bluish-green lights on the evening of August 25, 1951. The professors initially counted a V-shaped formation as 20-30 lights. The lights were seen for around thirty seconds until they vanished. A few minutes later, the same lights reappeared, flying in the same V-shaped pattern. UFO experts and skeptics disagree on the exact nature of the lights and the likelihood that aliens visited Earth due to the incident.

The McMinnville UFO Photographs

On May 11, 1950, Evelyn Trent, a farmer, and her wife spotted a metallic saucer-shaped object flying across the sky. Before the thing disappeared from view, Paul grabbed his camera and took two photographs. In two photographs taken by Paul Trent over a cloudy background, a metallic disc-shaped object with a dome on top is seen flying in the sky. The first photograph shows the thing at a slight angle, while the second shows it is moving away.

Westall Incident

There were hundreds of witnesses to that fateful day, including students and teachers from Westall High School. Most witnesses described the objects as silver or saucer-shaped, but descriptions varied. The objects were seen to carry out amazing aerial maneuvers, including abrupt changes in direction and acceleration. They were supposedly visible for about 20 minutes before going away.

On October 4, 1967, strange lights were reported over Shag Harbour. It was reported that four orange objects hovered erratically over water before descending and disappearing. Residents worried that an aircraft may have crashed into the lake immediately alerted the local authorities and the RCMP. An investigation into the reported crash was launched. Local fishing vessels and the Canadian Coast Guard participated in the search and rescue operation. A yellow foamy area was observed on the water's surface, and witnesses reported a sulfur smell.

The Cash-Landrum Incident

In 1980, Betty Cash, Vicki Landrum, and Vicki's grandson, Colby Landrum, age 7, were on their way home after having dinner with Vicki's mother. A diamond-shaped object hovered above the treetops as they travelled along an isolated road. All three witnesses witnessed the object after Betty Cash stopped the car. Their car was unbearably hot as the object emitted intense heat and flames. 

The Zimbabwe Incident

It is one of the UFO sightings that involved school children at Ariel School on September 16, 1994. A strange object was visible in the sky as 62 students aged 5 to 12 played in the schoolyard during morning recess. An object with strange markings and lights was described as silver, disk-shaped. Near the school, it hovered silently over the ground. They reported seeing beings with long, thin limbs and large, black eyes as they watched the craft. They wore tight-fitting black suits and had pale skin.

The Nimitz UFO Encounter

The encounter occurred over several days, from November 10 to November 14, 2004. During a training exercise, a Navy pilot witnessed an unknown flying object (UFO). According to Navy pilots, the observed UFOs were white, elliptical, and tic-tac-shaped. According to witnesses, the objects displayed unusual flight characteristics, such as sudden accelerations, rapid changes of direction, and hovering.

Travis Walton Abduction (1975)

On November 5, 1975, in Arizona, Travis Walton and a group of loggers claimed to have experienced a remarkable event. While driving home from work, they spotted a strange, glowing object in the forest. Travis Walton approached the object, and as he got closer, he was struck by a beam of light and reportedly lifted off the ground. His coworkers panicked and fled the scene, leaving Travis behind. Walton allegedly disappeared for five days when authorities and volunteers conducted a massive search. He reappeared on November 10, telling a story of being aboard a UFO with tiny humanoid beings who performed medical procedures on him. According to Walton, he was eventually returned to Earth and found himself on a highway.

The Falcon Lake Incident (1967)

On May 20, 1967, near Falcon Lake in Manitoba, Canada, Stephen Michalak experienced an alleged encounter with a UFO that left him with physical injuries. Michalak was prospecting for minerals when he spotted two flying saucer-like objects in the sky. One of the objects reportedly descended and landed nearby, emitting a hot blast of air. Curious, Michalak approached the landed object and observed a door opening. He claimed to have seen a variety of colored lights and heard strange sounds coming from within the craft. As he attempted to touch the object, it suddenly emitted a burst of hot gas or air, causing his clothing to catch fire and causing him significant burns.

It is a notable alleged extraterrestrial encounter that reportedly took place in Varginha, Brazil, in January 1996. According to reports, several residents claimed to have witnessed strange creatures resembling aliens near a park. The animals were described as small, with dark, oily skin, large red eyes, and a noticeable odor. Local reports also suggested that local authorities captured or killed some of these beings. However, official statements from Brazilian officials denied any extraterrestrial activity.

On January 7, 1948, in Kentucky, USA, Air National Guard pilot Thomas F. Mantell Jr. died while pursuing an unidentified flying object. Mantell and other pilots were sent to investigate a report of a large, metallic object in the sky. Mantell's plane climbed to a high altitude in pursuit of the object despite the aircraft not being equipped for high-altitude flight. Unfortunately, Mantell lost consciousness, and his plane eventually crashed. He was killed in the crash. Some suggested that Mantell had been pursuing a secret military aircraft or a weather balloon, while others proposed the idea of alien involvement.

Kecksburg UFO Incident (1965)

It occurred on December 9 in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Witnesses described the object as resembling an acorn or bell shape with intricate markings on its surface. The object emitted a bright light and caused sonic booms as it descended and eventually crashed into a wooded area. Numerous eyewitnesses reported seeing the object in the sky and even witnessing its landing. The incident fueled speculation of potential alien activity.

Aurora, Texas UFO Crash

It happened in 1897. According to the news, a mysterious airship or flying machine crashed on the property of a local judge named J.S. Proctor in the small town of Aurora, Texas. Reportedly, the strange craft was described as cigar-shaped and made of a mysterious metal that resembled aluminum. The crash destroyed the airship. A small humanoid body was said to have been recovered from the wreckage. A newspaper article claimed that the airship pilot was not from Earth and was given a proper burial in the local cemetery. The report also speculated that the craft might have come from Mars.

In this incident, Officer Zamora was on patrol when he responded to a loud roar and a flame in the distance. He drove towards the area and soon encountered a white, egg-shaped craft with no visible windows or doors resting on the ground. As Zamora approached, he noticed two beings in white coveralls standing next to the craft. However, upon realizing he was spotted, the beings suddenly reentered the craft, and it emitted a loud, roaring sound before ascending into the sky with a blue flame and disappearing from sight.

The Valensole UFO Landing (1965)

In this case, the main witness was farmer Maurice Masse, who reported encountering a strange metallic object in his lavender fields. Masse claimed he saw two tiny humanoid beings, about 1 meter tall, near the craft. These beings had large, slanted eyes and wore tight-fitting gray suits. According to him, the beings communicated with him telepathically. The craft, described as metallic and disc-shaped, eventually took off vertically and disappeared from sight.

The incident began when a group of witnesses, including local children, reported seeing a bright object streaking across the sky and crash-landing on a nearby hill. A local newspaper referred to it as a "flying saucer."  As they reached the top of the hill, they claimed to have encountered a large, glowing object and a strange mist. Among the mist, they spotted a creature described as being around 10 feet tall, with a dark, metallic appearance and glowing red eyes. On September 27, 1989, a group of children playing in a park claimed to have witnessed a bizarre event. They saw a large, three-eyed, egg-shaped object descending from the sky and landed in a nearby area. The object reportedly emitted a bright light and strange sounds.
