Imagine the surprise when a gardener pulled out a fossilized bone whilst in someone's garden. Expecting it to be perhaps an old bone from an existing animal, experts identified it as a fragment of a herbivore dinosaur from the Cretaceous period, meaning it was tens of millions of years old!

Buried treasure is something that lucky gardeners have stumbled across whilst at work, and had to inform the owner. They have discovered real, ancient buried treasure. One gardener found jewels, including rubies and sapphires from hundreds of years ago!

The graves belonged to a historic family cemetery who had settled in the region. The headstones made of local stone were still intact and dates could still be read on the graves.

There are many theories about the secret passageways, some believe they were used to smuggle goods. Others believe that the passages may have been escape routes during the war.

A gardener in South America near the rainforest discovered a new undiscovered botanical gem. It had never been named or identified before, previous to this discovery. It had a luminous appearance which was since given the scientific name 'flora luminous'.

An American family was gardening in their backyard when they discovered a series of strange-looking rocks that turned out to be meteorites! The rocks from space were dated from centuries ago. A meteorite shower had occurred and fragments had landed in the garden, buried and undiscovered for many years.

Another gardener in the middle of an urban garden in Tewkesbury, England in 2023 stumbled across a bomb that had not been detonated. The bomb squad was called to secure the area and safely remove the bomb to prevent it from causing any damage. It was since destroyed and it is suspected that the bomb originated from WW2.

A gardener in South Carolina dug up a 16 million-year-old whale fossil whilst gardening in their backyard. The fossil had been preserved in the sedimentary layers of soil and earth, and more than just a bone there was almost a complete whale skeleton. Experts from the local Universities were immediately called to help excavate the prehistoric giant.

When it was pulled out and opened there were neatly packed bundles of cash. The origins are still a mystery but that didn't stop the theories circulating about robberies and runaway criminals.

In a garden in Charleston, South Carolina a cannonball was discovered whilst gardening. The cannonball dates right back to the Civil War era. The Cannonball unleashed new information about the area having an important historical role to play in the Civil War.

A gardener recently discovered a hidden room in a historic neighborhood in New Orleans. It was a kind of hidden chamber which could be accessed by a hidden trapdoor within the oak tree. Inside were old furniture and books. Local historians believe it could have been an escape from local hurricanes.

Imagine the surprise when a gardener found an entire Ferrari deep inside the earth of one of his client's homes. The Ferrari had been used in a police chase many years ago and buried along with the evidence of the crimes only to be unleashed many years later.

The glasses ranged in size and shape, and the majority of them were still perfectly intact after years of being buried underneath the dirt. It is thought that in the past, the area became a kind of dumping ground for household items.

In Los Angeles, an amazing discovery was made by a gardener. They found the poems of a mastodon which dated 10,000 to 15,000 years ago. The prehistoric Mastodon is not extinct, making it a remarkable relic from the past. It had been preserved in the sediment of the garden for all this time.
