Everyone's favourite NBA star, Shaquille has had a fruitful career away from the spotlight to say the least. After retiring from Basketball, Shaw got his doctorate in education and also been an honorary sheriff's deputy in Georgia. He's also reignited his musical career with a recent track about LaVar Ball.
2. Jack Gleeson - Theology student

One of TV's most hated (but amazing) characters, King Joffrey of Game of Thrones was played by Jack Gleeson. Although he gave a stunning performance from series 1-4, Jack decided to leave acting and begin theology studies in college. Going from one of the worlds most hated TV characters to your average Joe must have been a bit of a shock to the system.
3. Kevin Jonas - Entrepreneur

The Jonas Brothers are hugely successful and good looking brothers, however, Kevin chose to leave the group and become an entrepreneur. With typical middle child syndrome, Kevin has almost been forgotten about now he runs his own real estate company and also owns a restaurant search app.
4. Tom Selleck - Avocado farmer

Tom Selleck, the man, the hunk (in the 80s), the moustache spends his retired years living on his 60-acre Californian farm where he spends his time managing an Avocado farm. After becoming a household name in the 70s & 80s, Selleck is after the quieter life now.
5. Sarah Michelle Gellar - Businesswoman

Another TV sensation, Sarah Michelle Gellar broke out in Hollywood when she played the role of Buffy the Vampire Slayer which changed TV forever. Although she was a successful actress, Gellar decided to set her sights on the business world and founded a culinary startup called "FoodStirs".
6. Dylan Sprouse - Brewmaster

Dylan rose to fame with his twin brother, Cole in Big Daddy and Friends. The twins also went on to star in their own show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody on the Disney channel too. Since then, Dylan has become a brewmaster, working in a meadery and bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
7. Vanilla Ice - Real estate

Vanilla Ice went from, well, whatever he was, to a self proclaimed king of real estate. If you've got a drywall problem, he's your guy! Vanilla Ice got involved in the real estate industry where he realised he had a real passion for flipping houses and all things home-y.
8. Amanda Bynes - Fashion designer

After reaching the heights of success as a child star with her own Nickelodeon and in films like What a Girl Wants and She's the Man, Amanda Bynes decided to leave it all behind after hitting a series of bumpy roads in her late teens and early 20s. She went on to study fashion at FIDM and has since made a comeback to Hollywood.
9. Peter Ostrum - Vet

Peter Ostrum won the golden ticket when he got the chance to star in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory as Charlie. Possibly one of film's most beloved child stars, Peter only had a short stint in Hollywood before deciding to lead a "normal" life working as a Vet in New York.
10. MC Hammer - Minister

11. Chris Owen - Waiter

Also known as the Sherminator, Owen was best known for his role in cult classic American Pie. Despite it being a success, Owen had difficulty landing any other roles and went on to living a life like the rest of us. He went on to work in a sushi restaurant as a waiter and recently had a bit more luck landing some other roles in films.

15. Frankie Muniz - Car racer

90s beauty Alicia Silverstone gave an iconic performance in Clueless, I mean, there was hardly any movie she wasn't in in the 90s. After garnering multiple awards, she decided to take a step back from the spotlight and focus on smaller projects. Alicia now works with charities about rescued pet sanctuaries and works as an activist for Veganism.

18. Nikki Blonsky - Hair Stylist

Hairspray's Tracy Turnblad was played by Nikki Blonsky who, although gave an amazing performance in the film, decided to take a different route in her career. After returning to her home in New York, she decided to get a job as a hairstylist and has been doing that ever since.
