1. She went through multiple behavioral programs

Paris Hilton has recently opened up about being put through some tremendously expensive behavioral modification programs when she was a teen, aged between 16 and 18.  Her mother has publicly spoken about not sleeping at all throughout wayward Paris's teenage years because she was so worried about what her daughter was getting up to.

2. She attended a school for troubled teens

Paris spent two years in various schools for troubled teens 

and one, in particular, stood out.  This was the Provo Canyon School in Utah which was a lockdown facility that she attended for 11 months.  In 2021, Paris spoke about the abuse she alleges to have happened to her whilst she was a student at the school.

Among the horrific abuse that Paris has spoken publicly about included being beaten and screamed and shouted at constantly.  She alleges that she was force-fed unknown meds, punished with solitary confinement, and subjected to highly irregular late-night gynecological exams.

Paris said in an interview that she was placed in solitary confinement at the Provo Canyon School once for not taking the medication that they gave to her.  And she said that it was horrifying, describing being trapped in a room for up to 20 hours, with no windows or natural light, and blood, urine, and feces covering the walls and the floor.

Paris was at a few boarding schools during the two years and she told one source that she did try to escape on various occasions.  In fact, she escaped one facility by jumping down a flight of stairs and calling her grandpa to come and get her.  She was finally sent to the lockdown facility, Provo Canyon School, with little to no contact with her family or friends.

Her parents put her into these behavioral modification programs because she says, she was out of control, skipping school and sneaking out of the house late at night and they wanted her to have some discipline.  Paris maintains that they were kept in the dark about the truth and since she has spoken out, they have apologized to her.

Paris has now spoken publicly about her shocking experiences with sexual assault and harassment.  And she said that it started when she was really young when she was groomed by one of her teachers at 15 years old.  She said in an interview that they spoke on the phone all the time and he made her feel grown up.

Paris told the public about one memory she has with the teacher that groomed her.  She said that they were kissing outside her house and her parents caught them.  And she said he panicked and drove away, only for her enraged parents to chase them in their car, apparently reaching up to 100 mph!  She said they never spoke about it again.

Not long after this, Paris moved to live with her grandmother in Palm Springs.  She said that she'd see her friends at the mall and they'd hang out there all the time.  But there were these older boys who once invited Paris and her friends to a party where she alleges her drink was spiked and she was sexually assaulted.

And because of her heartbreaking experiences, she definitely didn't have a normal childhood.  In fact, she has opened up in an interview about the staffers in the 'schools', or behavioral institutions, she attended, the teacher that groomed her, and older boys actually stole her childhood from her.

Paris attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 when she was 19 years old.  At the prestigious event, Paris met Harvey Weinstein.  She spoke about her encounter with the convicted predator and said that it got aggressive as he screamed at her, followed her into the ladies' restroom, and hammered on the door of the stall she was in.  And luckily, she said, security carried him away.

Back in 2004, a 37-second clip of Paris and her then-boyfriend, Rick Salomon began to circulate.  And it became very clear very quickly that this was a sex tape.  In her memoir, Paris wrote that she was pressured into making the tape as a final ultimatum

Back in 2006, Paris Hilton was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Apparently, she was driving her $500,000 Mercedes pretty erratically and when she was pulled over.  she failed a breathalyzer test and was charged with a DUI, had her license suspended, was ordered to pay a fine, and was sentenced to 3 years probation.

But this wasn't the only time Paris had to pose for a mugshot.  In fact, just a few months after she was arrested and still with a suspended license, she was caught speeding with a headlight out and sentenced to 45 days in jail.  In her defense, she said that she thought she'd be allowed to drive to and from work.
