Hollywood best friends aren't just friends, they're actually (very) distantly related as well. The New England Genealogist Society found that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck share an ancestor named William Knowlton Jr, who settled in Massachusetts around 1630.

A bit of a crazy one but Game of Thrones co-stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are both distantly related. An Ancestry blog showed that Harington and Leslie share a common ancestor in King Charles II who was responsible for restoring the British monarchy after the British Civil War.

The now King of England, Charles is related to actor Ralph Fiennes, who has actually played many royals over the course of his career. The pair are distantly related - eighth cousins to be exact and share a connection to James II of Scotland. What a small world.

After starring in Alien's in the Attic together, it turns out the pair are 10th cousins once removed. "No wonder we have such a connection!" Tisdale said. "We've always said we were brother and sister! That is insane. I literally am going to cry."
