1. Kris Jenner Then

When Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired in 2007, Kris Jenner was 52 years old and already a busy businesswoman with hers and Kourtney's clothing brand. But she had bigger plans for her family, and that started with a meeting with TV personality Ryan Seacrest. Apparently, Kris said, "Like, there's the little girls, and there's the older girls, and then there's my son. Everybody thinks that they could create a bunch of drama in their lives, but it's something that I felt I didn't even have to think about. It would be natural." She's certainly the driving force behind KUWTK, and stayed true to the show's premise throughout its 20 seasons.

2. Kris Jenner Now

Safe to say, Kris hasn't changed much in the 16 years since Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired - and we're not just talking about her pixie cut. She's still got that bubbly, high energy, and she still would do anything to see her girls succeed. While the early seasons of KUWTK detailed her relationship with Caitlyn Jenner (born Bruce Jenner), but the two went their separate ways in 2013. Now, Kris looks absolutely joyous with her new partner Corey Gamble, who you might have seen in more recent seasons of the reality show.

3. Kim Kardashian Then

Kim was 27 years old when she first starred on KUWTK, and was already a working woman through her job as personal stylist to singer Brandy and later Paris Hilton. It was her friendship with socialist Paris that thrust Kim into the public eye - and that's exactly what she wanted all along. Sources say that Kim's goal was to create a full brand out of herself, and that's what the show managed to do! Though, of course, her mum Kris was there in the background every step of the way as well. Let's just say that KUWTK made Kim's dreams come true.

4. Kim Kardashian Now

Now 42 years old with four children, Kim has come a long way since her first appearance on KUWTK. Her entire personal life (including the most dramatic moments) have been caught on camera, and viewers have seen her first pregnancy and relationship with Kanye West all on screen. Not to mention, we've seen her grow her business empire to multiple brands, including the hugely successful SKIMS and the makeup and skincare line KKW Beauty. Though, we reckon that even with all her growth she would still cry if she lost a diamond earring in the ocean like in the now-iconic KUWTK episode.

5. Kourtney Kardashian Then

The eldest of the Kardashian sisters, Kourtney was always the wise elder sister of the bunch, offering her sisters the most scathing and sincere appraisals at regular moments during KUWTK (do you remember, "There's people that are dying, Kim"?) Most of the early seasons of KUWTK followed her on-again off-again relationship with Scott Disick, and spinoffs looked at her dedication to launching brands of her own, including the clothing boutique D-A-S-H, which was featured in 2009's Kourtney and Kim Take Miami

6. Kourtney Kardashian Now

Kourtney's on-again off-again relationship with Scott Disick lasted until 2015 - almost the entirety of KUWTK. She had three children with Disick, who all had the privilege of having their births broadcast on KUWTK (and viewers had the privilege of seeing Kris reacting to her first grandchild.) Today, Kourtney is focusing on pregnancy number four, which she announced at a Blink-182 concert - the father just happens to be Travis Barker, drummer for the band.

7. Khloé Kardashian Then

Youngest child Khloé also found almost immediate fame when KUWTK first premiered (though it was technically Kim's infamous sex tape that catapulted her to the public eye initially). She was just 23 years old when the reality show started airing, and viewers got to watch her romance, marriage, and subsequent divorce from NBA star Lamar Odom. After that, we were glued to the dramatic relationship with French Montana and Tristan Thompson, including Tristan's shocking kiss with Jordyn Woods. Back then, you wouldn't have guessed that she would be back with Tristan...

8. Khloé Kardashian Now

Khloé is probably the Kardashian sister that has changed the most since we first saw her on KUWTK. Not all of those changes have gone down well with the public - she's battled rumours that she's had facial surgery, though Khloé credits everything to losing weight and hiring a fab makeup artist to accentuate her assets. After that dramatic breakup with Tristan Thompson after cheating rumours, Khloé did end up getting back together with him, and they had a second child via surrogacy in July 2022. Congrats to the happy couple!

9. Kendall Jenner Then

Kendall has made frequent references to her baby-faced looks from the early seasons of KUWTK. She was just 12 years old and suddenly a household name, and the show followed her as she started a lucrative modelling career from the age of just 14, which was seemingly her dream from a very young age. In fact, huge modelling group Wilhelmina Models snapped her up in 2009 when the show had been running for just two years - you can thank Kris for that one, Kendall! But growing up on screen wasn't always easy for Kendall, and she's admitted not really feeling like a member of the Kardashian clan.

10. Kendall Jenner Now

Today, Kendall has definitely achieved her dream of becoming a model - no less, she's one of the highest-paid models in the world, overtaking even superstar Gisele Bündchen. At aged 27, she's more focused on her career than family life, unlike her sister Kylie and her half-sisters the Kardashians - but could she be prepping for a baby? In a recent Kardashians

episode, Kendall was exploring the possibility of freezing her eggs, suggesting that Kris could be getting more grandchildren at some point.

11. Kylie Jenner Then

Little Kylie was the youngest of the Kendall/Kardashian bunch when KUWTK started filming, aged just 9 years old. However, she learned from the best (Kris, of course), and in her teen years was already creating a clothing line with her sister Kendall. The little entrepreneur obviously knew what was coming, though, and in 2015 she launched her massively successful Kylie Cosmetic, which has since made millions. But it wasn't all without drama - the first season showed 9-year-old Kylie using a stripper pole, which even mum Kris seemed to frown upon.

12. Kylie Jenner Now

Since those dramatic preteen days, Kylie has grown to one of America's richest entrepreneurs. Through all the personal ups and downs (including her feud with Blac Chyna and possible underage relationship with Tyga), Kylie is now a mother, and is running a business empire that spans skincare, makeup, and swimwear. In 2022, Kylie gave birth to her second child with musician Travis Scott, which was documented on the first season of The Kardashians

. The youngest of the girls, Kylie still has lots of time left to cement her status as one of the most well-known entrepreneurs of our generation.

13. Caitlyn Jenner Then

If you don't recognise Caitlyn in this picture, it's because it's from before her transition to Caitlyn. Still using the name Bruce, Caitlyn was a big feature in the early seasons of KUWTK as she tried to guide her daughters towards a bright future. At the time, Caitlyn was a household name thanks to her career as an athlete, including a major win at the 1976 Montreal Olympics for decathlon. However, these days, Caitlyn is much more known for being a prominent transgender icon - a change that she revealed to the public in 2015.

14. Caitlyn Jenner Now

Since Caitlyn Jenner's reveal that she is trans, her personal and professional life changed a lot. She and Kris Jenner had already separated in 2013 prior to the public announcement, though Caitlyn was using hormones as far back as the 1980s and there was problems in her's and Kris' relationship for a while. Kris Jenner maintains that she had no idea that Caitlyn was transgender, saying, "When I met Bruce, he told me that he had done hormones back in the early 80s. This was a conversation that took place in the early 90s. So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it."

15. Scott Disick Then

Scott Disick was also a prominent character on KUWTK from season 1 thanks to his up-and-down relationship with Kourtney. He was such a popular character that he even got his own spin-off in 2019, Flip It Like Disick

. This followed his successes and failures in the property space, though it never really hit the big time like KUWTK did. His relationship with Kourtney was the thing keeping us glued to the screen, as we all wondered whether after three kids and so many years, they would ever actually work out.

16. Scott Disick Now

Sadly, the two didn't ever work it out, and in 2015 they called it quits for the very last time. This occurred at the time that Scott was also dealing with his alcohol problems, and he entered multiple rehab facilities during 2014-15. Today, Scott is regularly seen hanging out with his three kids with Kourtney, and even had a three-year relationship with model Sofia Richie that ended in 2020. Lately, you might have seen him appear in daughter Penelope's hilarious TikTok videos - though his mind is probably on the fact that his ex Kourtney is pregnant with Travis Barker.

17. Rob Kardashian Then

You may have even forgotten entirely about Rob Kardashian. The youngest of the Kardashian siblings, and the only boy, Rob was 20 years old when KUWTK first aired, and was then a business student at the University of Southern California. He mostly avoided the drama of the rest of the Kardashians - that is, until his very public relationship with Blac Chyna. The two were linked from 2016, but their relationship completely blew up in July 2017 when he shared naked pictures of her on his Instagram profile.

18. Rob Kardashian Now

As you can imagine, the fallout from that 2017 took a while to heal, and he and Blac Chyna continued to trade blows, which included Blac Chyna getting a restraining order on Rob. Later that year, they agreed on joint custody for their daughter, Dream Renée, but it didn't last long as things got dramatic again in late 2017. In May 2022, Chyna lost a court case against the Kardashians, while Rob has been notably absent from public life during this whole situation. However, he did rejoin Instagram just to post a birthday message to his sister Khloé.

19. Brody Jenner Then

Do you remember Brody Jenner? The personality and model is the son of Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson, making him a step-brother to the Kardashians and a half-brother of Kylie and Kendall. Brody has appeared in a few episodes of KUWTK, largely in season 1, but a feud with step-sister Kim kind of put a spanner in the works. Apparently, Kim sent Brody an invitation to her wedding but forgot about his then-girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter (who he married in 2018). Brody also made a lot of appearances on The Hills

, as he was dating Lauren Conrad.

20. Brody Jenner Now

It's unclear if Brody ever forgave Kim for her unfortunate mistake/knowing burn, but Brody isn't with Kaitlynn anymore anyway, so does it matter? In fact, he's taking things to the next level with his current girlfriend, Tia Blanco. If you don't recognise the name, she's a pro surfer who won gold in the Women's World Surfing Championships in 2015. This year, Brody and Tia announced that they were pregnant with their first child, with Tia recently celebrating her baby shower. Brody has also recently starred in a The Hills

sequel.

21. Bree Olson Then

This one's a pretty specific reference, so bare with us! In season one of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, pornstar Bree Olson appeared as Kylie and Kendall's babysitter. Khloé reacted pretty dramatically to the news, calling Kris and calling Bree a "whore". Bree herself said she was confused about what to do on the show, and that her agent organised the whole thing for her. She said, “[They told me], ‘Oh, go into Kris’ closet.’ I was so scared, asking, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure this is okay?’ And they’re like, ‘Just go.’"

22. Bree Olson Now

Today, Bree Olson is still in the same career that she was in then: pornstar. However, after her appearance on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she achieved more fame as the girlfriend of American actor Charlie Sheen. Later, she spoke out against him, saying he had endangered her life by not telling her that he had HIV. Thankfully, Bree later tested negative, and has continued to work in the adult film industry, though she took a break to launch other businesses in 2011. So, that's what's happened to our favourite nanny!

23. Shorty Then

Think back to season 1 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. You may remember a side-story about a homeless man, Shorty. In episode seven, Khloé finds Shorty living on the streets at the back of her clothing store, DASH. The sisters invite Shorty inside and get him cleaned up, even paying for new clothes for him, and a haircut! By the end of the episode, it was unclear what had really happened to Shorty - could he get off the streets? Or was he going to be homeless again? Well, you might be happy to hear that he did get his reunion with the Kardashians.

24. Shorty Now

In 2021, 13 years after meeting Shorty for the first time, he was back on screen on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Khloé and the producers of the show went on a hunt for their old friend, and eventually tracked down the place he worked - though it had shut down because of Covid-19. Later, Khloé Facetimed the man himself, who said that he was looking for a place of his own to live. To everyone's surprise, Khloé and the rest of the family helped him find an apartment. Shorty himself said he was extremely grateful that he'd ever met the Kardashians.

25. Tyra Banks Then

Tyra Banks made a brief appearance on season 1 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians as Kim was invited on the talk show to discuss her recent sex tape leak. When Kris first let Kim know that she'd be on the show, she seemed absolutely shocked but excited. She was less excited when Kris explained that she had to talk about the tape. "I don't wanna talk about it," Kim says. Her practice answer for why she made a sex tape? "Because I was horny and I felt like it." No communications manager needed for this natural!

26. Tyra Banks Now

Tyra Banks was obviously a huge star when she managed to secure Kim's appearance on the show. She hosted The Tyra Banks Show

from 2005 to 2010, and even won awards for it. She also famously appeared on America's Next Top Model

, which has spawned hundreds of iconic pop culture moments and memes. Today, Tyra is on the lookout for something new, as she's just recently left her presenting role on Dancing With The Stars

, which she hosted for three years. We're unlikely to see her onscreen though, as she's teased she's going to be working more on the production side through her own company.

27. Brittny Gastineau Then

If you watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians from the very beginning, you'll recognise Brittny Gastineau as one of Kim's very best friends. But did you know it was actually older sister Kourtney who introduced the two? Kim has said that they were friends from the very moment they met, but it wasn't all plain sailing. They had quite a big falling out when Kim married NBA star Kris Humphries in 2011, though Brittney - like any good friend - still went to her wedding. But are they still friends to this day?

28. Brittny Gastineau Now

Though it might surprise you (or maybe not) Kim and Brittney are still firm friends - not even marriages can split these two up! While they might not hang out as much as they used to (Kim has got a few businesses to run and children to raise), they're definitely still in touch. In fact, this year Kim attended Brittney's latest art show in Los Angeles, where she works as an art curator. Kim turned up and stole the show in a hot pink outfit, and the two posed for pictures. A beautiful season 1 reunion!

29. Robin Antin Then

Robin Antin is probably best known for being the person who put together worldwide pop supergroup The Pussycat Dolls. But she also made a few appearances in Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 1. Robin is famously good friends with Kim Kardashian, and the two ran in similar circles among the socialites of Los Angeles. However, in season 3, Robin got her chance to be in the plot of the show as she invited Kim to be part of a Pussycat Dolls performance. Unfortunately, the day before this huge opportunity, Kim was due to get Lasik surgery!

30. Robin Antin Now

Today, Robin is still sometimes spotted with Kim, though she does have her own drama to deal with. In 2022, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger filed a complaint against Robin that said that funnelled money away from the band, which forced Nicole to use her own money to fund Pussycat Dolls promotional events. Robin, of course, denies everything, and has her own counter-suit in place as she accuses Nicole of reneging on an agreement to be part of a Pussycat Dolls reunion tour. It's all getting pretty messy, and we'll just have to wait and see what the verdict is.
