1. Lupita Nyong'o as Dionne Davenport from Clueless

It's like Lupita N'yongo just can't help being iconic whatever she does. This Halloween saw her dress up as a true 90s legend: Dionne from Clueless. Everything about this is giving slay vibes from the retro phone to the detail of the nose ring. 10/10.

2. Kristen Stewart as a bloodied baseball player

Not only is this costume delivering a special kind of camp chic, we can only presume it might be a veiled reference to the original Twilight movie. The best thing in the whole film was that amazing baseball scene, which turned a whole new generation of fans on to Muse's 'Supermassive Black Hole'.

3. Alexa Chung as a mermaid in distress

Here Alexa Chung, the ultimate naughties it-girl, has achieved something special. Her mermaid costume is not only pretty, but edgy too. Cute glittery skirt? Check. Adorable hair and make up look? Smashed it. Comment on the ecological crisis caused by mankind's epidemic dumping of plastic into the oceans? You betcha.

If Taron Eggerton hasn't been such a good Elton in biopic 'Rocketman', we'd be clamouring for a recasting. In our opinion ex-One-Directioner Harry is seriously Crocodile-Rocking this halloween costume. Let's put it this way, if we ever found ourselves being asked 'are you ready for love' by Mr. Styles, the answer would be a resounding yes any day of the week.

Some years you want to let loose with something crazy, and others you might want to go for something like this. A day of the dead inspired face paint, paired with this gorgeous, sleek and chic silver number. Beaut!

Iggy Azalea seems to be born to be Cruella- her face is giving puppy killer, for sure. She gets extra points for the pure commitment of bringing an actual dog on the red carpet as part of her costume (and we hasten to add, he was not made into a coat).

Kim K rocking a classic Cher look here: one icon dressed as another. This yellow look was original worn by Cher herself way back in 1973. As well as this Halloween costume, it's said to have inspired the Valentina cut-out dress that Zendaya sported at the 2021 Oscars!

Whilst Marge is famously a bit downtrodden, we can't imagine Cardi taking any nonsense from her Homer!

Personally I'm more scared of McCauley Culkin's character, who could easily have grown up to be the Jigsaw killer from Saw given how elaborate his traps were!
