30 Celebrities That Have No Business Being Role Models

1. Lindsay Lohan

Once boasting a squeaky clean image, Lindsay Lohan fell from that pedestal in the late 2000s when her cocaine addiction and long list of arrests led to many rehab visits. Her record continues with indecent exposure and violating parole. Child stars like this maybe aren't the best choice of role model after all.

2. Kanye West

I don't think Kanye West really needs much explanation for why he should not be a role model. He has a LONG history of controversial comments and behaviours like his infamous feud with Taylor Swift to his more recent public anti-semitic comments. I think all parents can agree they don't want any child to copy his behaviour.

3. Miley Cyrus

A Disney child star who went rogue. Miley Cyrus went from the girl everyone adored to the the girl everyone was shocked by. She displayed some very inappropriate behaviour and was known for extreme drug use. Although she may have calmed down now, her past is still out there for everyone to see.

4. Tiger Woods

Although he was once probably considered a role model and one of the greatest golfers in the world, that all came crashing down not too long ago for Tiger Woods. He has been arrested for driving under the influence and there has been multiple accusations of cheating over the years. A combination of which resulted in him losing all his sponsorships and his role model status.

5. Farrah Abraham

Farrah Abraham found fame off the back of 16 & Pregnant and later Teen Mom. She seemed to become more controversial with age and eventually released an XXX-rated home video for a whopping $1.5 million. She is a single parent to her daughter, and it's terrifying that she is a role model for her, let alone other girls.

Another child star who seemed so sweet and innocent in the beginning. It's amazing what fame can do to a person. The Canadian singer went from a 14 year old singer to an offensive young adult spitting on his fans and getting a criminal record from driving under the influence.

Kim Kardashian is controversial in terms of being a role model. She is a very successful businesswoman and this is definitely something to admire. But she did first become famous for having a sex tape... so maybe not. Her whole family is considered "famous for being famous".

Everyone knows the history with Chris Brown and Rihanna. Anyone who violently abuses their girlfriend is not a role model. Aside from this, he has long history of violent behaviour and many legal battles. No young boys should grow up thinking this is an acceptable way to behave.

Nicki Minaj does not shy away from confrontation, she is happy to be exposed in public and her lyrics are questionable. This may do her a lot of good in terms of fame and being recognised, but she isn't who you want your young daughter looking up to. Her body has been enhanced with plastic surgery in a world where we are trying to encourage young girls to embrace their natural beauty.

10. Logan and Jake Paul

Logan and Jake Paul LOVE the spotlight, and finding their fame on YouTube makes them hard to shield your kids from as they are so easily accessible. Their behaviour has been racist, demonstrated bullying and even making light of suicide victims. All of this shown to a very young and impressionable audience.

The Jackass franchise may have been around a while, but it doesn't mean young children these days aren't still watching it. The guys in this 'crew' are visibly under the influence of drugs, engaging in crude behaviour and language and laughing at other people's expense. This should not be entertainment.

Voted Time's 2016 Person of the Year, it wasn't necessarily for the right reasons. Everyone knows about Trump's controversial views on race and women. Some people may argue he is a great role model, others think the opposite. As one of the most influential people on the planet who has VERY strong opinions, it is hard not to be concerned about who is listening.

Do we all remember the meat dress? I reckon Lady Gaga would be cancelled for that these days. Although she is very much a private person (and probably a lovely person in private), the way she presents herself so eccentrically in public is not necessarily role model material for young girls or boys.

Rihanna may be gorgeous and promote being comfortable in her own skin, but her song lyrics and behaviour in some of her music videos don't exactly scream role model. She has worn some shocking outfits over the years too which I'm sure you definitely wouldn't want to see your kids wearing.

Lil Wayne definitely has a unique look, with golden grills and tattoos all over his face. The lyrics to his songs are often sexual and explicit, so it's no wonder no parents want this guy to be a role model for their kids! He is well known for promoting drug use and gang culture too.

Although it's great for young girls to see someone being so openly themselves, Kristen Stewart is quite the advocate for smoking marijuana. She was caught on camera with Miley Cyrus and despite it becoming legal in a lot more places these days, it's not necessarily the behaviour of a role model.

Charlie Sheen's life is public knowledge, as is his long list of troubles. he was fired from Two and a Half Men, due to his addiction issues. These issues are well known, as is his affinity for spending a lot of money on women if you know what we mean... Not the kind of guy you want your son to grow up to be.

Her problems with addiction were well known and ended up resulting in her death. She was seen under the influence while performing and we can't be teaching people that it's okay to show up to a work event and behave unprofessionally.

Danielle Bregoli essentially became famous for being a badly behaved teenager. She appeared on Dr. Phil in 2016 and coined her catchphrase of "cash me ousside". Somehow, she has ended up with a reasonably successful rap career as a reward for her bad behaviour and this is definitely not the message you want to be sending to young children.
